I cannot begin to tell you how upset I am with Vasa and your customer service. My family had signed up for the special $9.99 a month membership a few months ago. We figured lets all sign up its only $9.99. We walked in and sat down with Jareen. (He no longer works there) He was telling us about all the facilities we would get to use and all for this great price. We kept saying to him "Thats it only$10 a month?" he kept saying "Yep, thats it!" We literally said that like 4 times.(That is what makes me so mad about all this.) So thinking this was a great deal we signed up myself, my husband and my son. Not once did Jareen say there were any kind of fees. We even asked if this was month to month and no cancellation fees. He said it was a month to month contract and we could cancel anytime no problem with no fees. After a few months we noticed some extra charges from Vasa on our bank statement. I called them to see what was going on and they said we were charged an annual membership fee for each membership. I told them we never were told any charges when we signed up.I asked to speak with the employee who signed us up and was told he no longer works there. So I said I will come in instead. I went in and spoke with a very empathic man named Sam. He said he is so sorry they have had many complaints from the people who signed up with Jareen,that they too were not told of any fees. But he could not help me and told me to call membership services. I called membership services today and that was a joke. I waited on hold patiently for 15 minutes and when the representative finally answered she could have cared less. She said she wasnt there when we had our conversation with Jareen while signing up so there was nothing they could do.. All she offered was to break up the next set of fees so it wasnt all at once. I just said well, I guess I will just have to write another bad review among the hundreds of others. I wish I would have read them before signing up. Vasa has terrible customer service and that is just awful how you treat your members. I feel horrible for people who might not have money in their accounts to cover these surprise fees. Then they end up over drafting their accounts. I was really hoping to resolve this but no one seems to care enough to help. The other issue with Vasa is their child care. Terrible! The area needs to be updated badly. They have the older kids trampling the young toddlers. The employees in there never engage with the kids. They roll their eyes when certain parents drop off their kids. You want caring people to be looking after your loved ones even its only for an hour. You wont find that here. I have only found one place with wipes to clean off equipment and its usually empty. So the equipment you are using is usually not clean!! The free weights room is always full. I never had the chance to get in there after months of having a membership. I really wish I would have read these reviews before I signed up. I would have stayed at 24/hr fitness. Which is actually open 24 hours.

This is mainly due to how this business is so shady like most ppl have already stated. I must admit this place is a good place to workout that is close to me. The hours are really lousy though. I went in today to get a membership and the associate helping me filled everything electronically and agreed to the terms and conditions for me without even presenting them to me to read.......sketchy. I asked about being able to read the terms of my contract and he said they will be sent to me in an email...... once again sketchy. There is also a 1.50$ fee unless you give them your bank account info which I equally find fishy. Well I just read the terms and they are absolutely unreal. 1. You MUST send all cancelations in the mail or present them in person to the corporate office in Orem 1 month in advance ABSOLUTELY NO CANCELATIONS WILL HAPPEN OVER THE PHONE? Thats a total joke if you ask me really. 2. You cant cancel until you membership is entirely up to date. I can a situation where someone gets low on money gets some late fees and cant cancel to avoid further monthly payments and late fees because they need to pay a lage sum to catch up. 3. They arent liable for any reason if you get hurt. Thats right this includes a situation where you were injured due to poor maintenance of equipment or employee negligence we signed you cant sue and they arent liable. 4. You gave Vasa the right to use any physical address, email, or phone number to receive marketing deals from Vasa OR THEIR AFFILIATES. 5. If you are late on your 40 dollar fee that keeps your rate down you pay an additional 30 bucks if any monthly payment is not processed the way it should be you are charged a 25$ late fee. If you do not pay you price guarantee fee of 40 bucks your monthly rate is increases by 30%. Its really not a guarantee to pay less its a guarantee for them to not hike up your rate for absolutely no reason. 6. And this one is a doozy there is something called the striking clause which you agreed to that states that if any part of the Vasa contract you signed is illegal it doesnt void your contract. Thats right if the law finds the business practices found in the contract of Vasa to be unlawful your are still subject to all legal parts of the contract. No matter what your monthly payment and all fees are theirs. I mean its all in there we signed it but seriously this is absolutely the worst most sketchy thing someone has ever signed for cuz I certainly didnt l. I better send my laminated cancelation notice 11 months in advance just to make sure they get it and my membership is cancelled on time.

k i usually dont bother w/ rating things but have to give my 2 cents. i m fairly healthy but on the thinner side, wld love to add lbs if i can. 5 9" 145 lbs. have been thinking about joining a facility for a while for light strength and cardio. just moved frm FLA. didnt really wnt a contract, didnt really want a big bill. was gonna just go to planet fitness but thought it was weird w/ a noise siren??? anyways. read allot on here about negative reviews and such so REALLY did not wnt to go here and HAVE to sign a contract as well! BUT wifey said lets check it out---i said ok-well just look since they have daycare. -----guess what ? we signed a contract that night --not cause were suckers---cause this location is awesome and got a great deal---and have not regretted since.VERY PLEASED w pretty much everything. only complaint if i had to wld b the treadmills will be packed some nights whn i get there. i jog a mile to warm up b4 lifting. i only have to wait a cple minutes or so to hop on one. the guy who sold us the contract was really pushy and eager to have us sign---doing his job-----was a turnoff. but thats sales.----he did however turn me on w/ the awesome deal he gave us----we held out untill we cldnt refuse!!! all sizes, shapes, and ages there working together and also doing their own thing. every one is courteous and respectful. have not spoken to any personal trainers---but they are all diff-just find one u vibe w/ wherever u go--selection of activities are awesome. free and machine weights a plenty, hot tub steam room sauna pool bathrooms were all fine and clean to me....as well as equipment. have had zero problems w/ theft--(i dont leave stuff in open of course) . ive been to other gyms around the country and this one i have nothing to complain about--comfy atmosphere. child care girls are great. have had no issues. ---anyways love the vibe, service, tools of the trade to use. feel signing the contract has improved my life and am looking towards a healthier future-now that i HAVE to pay--i make sure I GO. they gave us a sweet deal--try to hold out to get hooked up---u sign a paper contract and its in frnt of u . read it---if its not what he said --just have him write up another----the price was great ! i really cant see what all the negative whining is about--which made me not want to go here---but now glad i didnt listen to everyones "HORRIBLE" experiences and checked it out. very pleased. and "I" wld be the one missing out!!! thanks for reading!
