I had been looking for something fairly priced with a good barber since I moved here from Houston. Hair Cuttery messed up my hair so I researched and the reviews for this place made it a good bet for a low-priced decent cut. The first time I came, I got the lady that no one was going to so I was a little worried but she spent about 45 minutes cutting my hair down to precision (since I had long hair). I left with a decent cut. The 2nd time I went 5 months later, same lady, except this time I told her to trim an inch and she thought I meant a #1 even though she kept asking me if I was sure and I told her 3 times "one-inch trim". She had the clipper an inch away from my head ready to buzz when the lady in the next chair stopped her. She ended up cutting an inch off, and when I wanted a tad more off, she smacked her lips and took a lot more off than I wanted and kept asking me why I dont get a regular medium length hair cut. When I left, I noticed that one side was a lot longer than the other to the point where I had to trim it down on my own. I havent gone back since. I would not recommend this place unless you want a simple business mans cut, for which they seem to be pretty decent.

Possibly the worst haircut Ive ever had in my short 24 year old life. I have a simple side part haircut with straight sides, asked for 2 inches off as it had been about 2 or 3 months and I was beginning to look shaggy. She takes a #2 buzz to my head... I have never before had anyone use clippers on me in a way that hurt, so that was a new experience for me. She both tugged and swiped with the clippers in a way that you could tell it wouldnt be even. My hair ended up patchy and short. I hate making a scene, so I paid my $17 + tip and left. I really hope more people see this and stop before going in to avoid my mistake. There isnt even enough hair on my head to fix it...

The haircut may be cheap for the area, but you dont even get what you pay for...a decent haircut. On my visit my sideburns ended up at completely different levels. The head and neck massage is a pathetic joke, its them whapping their hands against your neck for 7 seconds. Their idea of chatting is making sure I will refer other people to get a haircut there and asking if I will come back. This started almost as soon as I sat down. I will never go back to this place. I felt uncomfortable the whole time and had to get their "haircut" fixed the next day.

Been going here for two years and have never needed to look any place else. You wont get anything fancy or trendy, but they do a fine business haircut for men who want to look clean at work. Though english isnt the preferred language of the staff, the ladies are very friendly and know all of their regulars. Usually have a football game or golf on TV, and hot towel/massage treatment is a nice bonus. Have always been in and out in less than 30 minutes on the weekends.

It was an okay visit here. Had to do a minor touch up when I arrived home, but not overly terrible. Price is reasonable ($16 for a haircut, not including tip.) The biggest problem here seems to be a language barrier, its difficult to communicate what you want and its hard to understand what the staff is asking. Hot towel, massage is a nice plus but would rather have had a better haircut. Good for basic haircut, but dont expect a superior cut/style here.

I completely agree with the other two reviews of this place. This is a great place for a guy to get a haircut. I was a little worried when I first walked in because the only people there were the two women working. But when my haircut was done there were three guys in line. My haircut turned out just like I asked and it was done in less than 15 min and less than $15 (not including tip). I will get my hair cut here many more times.

Started going here when the wife and I moved to Old Town Alexandria in 2006. Anna and her team do a great job ensuring you are satisfied with your cut by focusing on you. The extra attention to detail, by shaving the fine hairs of the neck with a straight razor and wiping the excess off with a warm steamed towel, are nice. Would recommend this place to all those in need of a Barber Shop.

The stylists are super friendly and they go out of their way to make the clients happy. Plus the hot towels, shave and massage are great! But the reason you go to a barber is for a hair cut, not fringes. The service is great, the fringes are great, but the hair cut is average. A better cut would have earned them fiver stars. Will I go back? Absolutely. Would I recommend? Most definitely.

Ive been going here for about 4 years now. The staff does a very thorough job on your hair making sure to get the job done right. Ive tried almost every barber in the shop at one point or another, some are better than others. Ultimately i come back because they can give a straight forward haircut at a decent price.

First haircut was decent...last two times Im speechless. Fade is non existent. One side is higher than the other...Clearly dont understand the meaning of a LOW REG haircut. Now my head ironically looks like a JARHEAD, something Ive been avoiding the last 2 years Ive been in the USMC...

Bad customer service. The women who work there are very focused on talking to each other and act incredulous when you want them to "fix" or change something theyre doing. Not attentive at all. I went twice because cheap hoping for better experience, but really not good.

Walked in during lunch, no waiting and got a great haircut from Julie - exactly as I described. The warm lather straight razor neck shave, hot towel and head & neck massage were a nice touch; something you rarely see anymore. If I lived in the area, this would be my place.

All the ladies are great. Personally, I had a cut from Anna and I am now hooked. She cuts your hair with love, making you want to stay in her chair forever. I highly recommend getting the full treatment, i.e. haircut with shampoo plus a shave, all for under $30.

Ive been goong ro Nancy for a couple months now. She does a great job on my thick, curly hair. The haircuts are well done, relatively quick, and affordable. Not crazy about the hot towel/massage, but some people are into it.

First cut since moving to Old Town. I looked around to find a place that was walkable from where I live. This was a great choice. Definitely will be going back. Just FYI I get a clippered haircut and it was great.

Great barber shop. These are skilled barbers that pay great attention to the haircut they give and are clearly aware of the theory of cutting a mans hair. And the hot towel and head massage is just another plus.
