I almost never write reviews unless the service is incredibly good or well in cases like this. I have been going to this chipotle for almost 5 years, it was a comfort food type place when I got stationed here. Over that time, I have watched the service at this place just implode. Dont get me wrong, there are one or two individuals who keep me hopeful that they will turn it around. But more and more I find myself taking my business elsewhere. I honestly dont know what has changed but the past two times I have gone the service was just absolutely abysmal. I waited in line with 2 people in front of me each ordering a bowl and a burrito for a grand total of 6 minutes. I made a point this time to look at the time on my phone when I hit the back of the line of literally two other people. Keep in mind that is just the time in spent waiting to even get up to order my food. Then, when I got up to order I watched the guy who would have and probably should have just taken my order but instead, he proceeded to clean out 4 separate empty containers on the line and then replace them one by one, 2 more minutes. So its finally my turn! I give him my order, 1 bowl and two burritos, 3 separate times, 1 bowl and 2 burritos. You know, Ive been coming to chipotle for awhile and I think just about everyone who has been knows the flow of things, so when he asks me what kind of rice beans and meat I want and I tell him another 4 times, its pretty maddening. Finally past the initial guy and the burrito roller is having issues with the guys burrito in front of me, at this point I just feel bad for the dude, because it seems like he just hasnt been properly equipped to handle rolling such a larger burrito. So imaging how annoyed I am when he has no trouble with my burritos. Wait, Im annoyed that he has no trouble with mine? Why yes, because at this time I become acutely aware that the burritos I have just requested are literally 1/4 the size of the two burritos ahead of mine... I feel like the burrito should not be penalized for being poorly constructed by the burrito creator. It is however a glaring fault of the restaurateur that I was wholly unsatisfied by both my burrito and the experience.

I really like this chiptole! The food is extremely good and I probably go there at least twice a week. Recently it seems they have had some trouble moving their line and although they try their best they can get quite discombobulated. I ordered my food through the app so I could get it and leave but, when I came my food wasnt ready and the line was short. The cashier told me that my food would be ready shortly. I waited for about 5 minutes standing up, and then I sat down at the table closest to the register. At least 15-20 minutes went by as I tried to politely wait while making eye contact with the cashier occasionally. I was really trying to be polite by waiting but at the 15-20 minute mark I asked again where was my order. The cashier looked shocked and told me that she thought I had "left the store" and asked for them to make my order again. To which she tried to make up the excuse that they couldnt make it because they were lacking the beans I wanted..... I dont believe for a second they thought I just got up and left placing my order through a credit card. I think she just forgot why I was there. Meaning my order was already paid for, when I walked into the store. She even handed me my receipt first before I began waiting for such a long period of time. Dont get me wrong their food is great but, it can get messy at around lunch or dinner time. I dont hold this experience against them because everyone makes mistakes. So you should definitely go here. Its clean the staff is friendly and they actually talk to you.

Excellent help when order was wrong. Chipotle is one of our favorite places to eat. One evening we online ordered our meal, went in to pick it up and everything went smoothly. Got back home, husband realized they had his order wrong. I called back up to Chipotle and Angela (i think she was a manager or supervisor) answered the phone and immediately jumped into action to rectify the situation. Before I could finish explaining the issue with my husbands food she apologized and advised that she would advise her higher ups of the unfortunate incident. She then asked if we would be coming back in to get the correct order. I told her my husband would be coming back up. My husband went to the restaurant and came back with nothing but rave reviews for Angela. She asked my husband to get in line and order his correct meal for free due to the mistake and also gave us a future coupon to use with a great deal. Angela was an excellent associate that did all she could to help us out. Her customer service was top notch and we appreciated her refreshing helpfulness when there are so many people who work directly with customers and have the worst attitudes. Angela was great, there are a few other associates in this Chipotle that may want to get trained my Angela because there was 1 in particular that was not great. But this review is about Angela and how great she was. I will definitely be coming back. Thanks Angela!!

I eat at chipotle at least once per week. I rotate between three of them depending on where I am geographically. This particular Chipotle in Hampton VA is by far the worst of the three. The customer service, primarily employee attitude, is terrible and the portion control is very tight. During my last visit, the employee rolled her eyes when I chose mild and medium salsa vs chosing ONE! The portion of meat they gave my wife and I was literally 1/2 a normal spoon full. She tried to wrap up both of our bowls without asking if we wanted lettuce (which both of us wanted). When the bill popped up, it was 18.02 and I immediately reached in my pocket to grab 2 cents. The girl behind the counter just grabbed the 98cents in her hand and acted like the world was getting ready to end. Then she curtly just dropped the bag on the counter without handing it to me or my wife. I tried to make eye contact and she kept looking down as if we ruined her day. The manager of this Chipotle needs to tighten his people up. They have major attitude problems. There was nobody in line behind us, so the excuse of "we were slammin busy" aint gonna work. I wont be back any time soon.

This place has continuously gotten worse and worse. They mess up orders and generally appear to be in a state of disarray every time I come in. Today though was the worst experience Ive had, not only at Chipotle, but at any burrito joint Ive ever been to. The initial worker who ironed the tortillas was nice enough but the rest of the staff seemed annoyed by my presence and like theyd like to be anywhere else but at work. They added $3.50 to my burrito because I asked to have the cheese melted on it, something that Ive never been charged for before and seems excessive considering it required no extra ingredients, and the only change was the order in which you add the cheese. I also ordered chips and salsa. Apparently the $1.95 they charge only gets half of the cup of salsa filled. I brought these issues up and they were rude and unhelpful, to say the least. All in all, I was very upset and disappointed in the experience but they have been trending in this direction for a while. I dont intend to ever return to this restaurant. Luckily, a nearby Moes Southwestern Grill is opening on the 8th so I will be going there from now on
