Initially I was thrilled with the reception I got from the people in this office. The staffing rep I worked with was very enthusiastic about working with me. She seemed quite confident in her ability to get me a job. She did! She sent me to interview for a receptionist job, but the folks at the client company were interviewing me for an entirely different position, unbeknownst to me. By the time I arrived home from the interview, there was an offer on the table. My staffing rep claims she doesnt know where the breakdown in communication came from (regarding being interviewed for an entirely different job) but that the client wanted an answer on the "other" job they interviewed me for (NOT the receptionist job I thought I was getting) immediately. Feeling pressured to take it (Id been out of work for several years and was freaking out) I did. It was NOT at all what I wanted, or what I expected. They tossed me into this with no time to think or prepare and when after a week and a half, I expressed my feelings to the on-site rep (not the one at the Reliance Office, but the one at the client company) she pretty much outed me to my on site boss and told me to write a letter giving two weeks notice. I did, dumbfounded, and when I explained everything to the office rep she copped an attitude with me. She told me the client company wouldnt hire me for anything else, but that Reliance would continue to work with me. SHE LIED. And she has since refused to respond to any of my attempts at communication with her. In short, the Reliance office rep was unorganized and unprofessional. The onsite rep, despite her assurances that the info I shared with her was "just between us" didnt do a thing to help me. It was the worst experience I have had with a staffing agency. I would NOT recommend working with them!

Ive had an excellent experience with Reliance. I originally started working for them in 2011 doing some temp work. Since then, I was placed with a company as a possible temp to hire. After my 90 day trial period, the company I was working for decided to take me on full time. Since then, Ive been happily employed for 4 years with the same company. Ultimately this is the goal and Reliance helped me achieve this goal. They were a huge stepping stone to my success in my career. The staff are always friendly and are always in touch. As long as you do your part, they will do their best to find you a job that is right for you.

I got a job threw them but a friend I know told me about itwe were going on break for a whole month n every one is telling me o go to reliance for the break and even the lady that helped me get the job said that they would have plenty on jobs open for the holidays and this was before we went on break and my break is almost over now the lady that said plenty of jobs is no longer with them and I have been calling almost everyday and they said the job I work with is prioritizd for for a job n I still got nothing reliance staffing is full of it I wouldnt recommend anyone here they suck

Branch manager is rude and has receptionist many up excuses why manager cant take your call and says she will call you back which she never does. Manager emailed me asking if I was interested in a particular job and asked me to email resume once again after emailing it twice already. Then told me to call after sending resume. Manager avoiding my calls and making excuses why she cant answer phone. If she didnt want to talk to me, why did she bother emailing me asking me to call her.

It has been weeks and nothing yet. Im always told that there isnt any work right now, but Im constantly getting emails from Reliance Staffing telling me that there are positions available. The positions that are available are positions that I know that Im qualified to do based on my experience. I even told the Newport News office that I am willing to travel to the southside for work. This company is a joke

They got a guy name Roladio Policaio (Shorty) working for them, he threatened me and said that "I alt to shoot you with my pistol". I told them about the incident they said for me to piss in a cup ! Just an idea of who they are, fair warning. The Branch Manager Sue lied and said two people said that I was drunk and I dont even drink.

Its been 11 months. And nothing. They even have a new contract with the city of Newport News. NOTHING. They pick and choose. Half the labor force I know are drug addicts. If you test them right now, half the work force is gone. But you want to pick and choose. REALLY???

They dont show as if they trying to help you get a job...all they say is call so we can put u on an available list which they always say they dont know when. No one will call u from this temp agency about jobs.
