Terrible post office experience. I spent a lot of trips to the post office selling motorcycle parts a few years back and always would have always left a 5 star review at any other post office. I went into the Poquoson post office today and was the only person in line. When the person was done checking out in head of me I stepped up to the desk and the clerk said I needed to wait until I was called up, I was like "Im the only person in here" she responded with "it says wait in line till your called" but then asked me "how can I help you" so did it really matter anyways? Next she complained about where I wrote the To and From on the box that it was on the wrong side, but it was clearly labeled and in big letters no one would miss it. Finally I had to check out and she asked credit or debit, it was a credit card not a debit card so I said credit. She asked for card and ID, she said she couldnt accept my card because it wasnt signed. In the signature spot on the back of my card it says "See ID" as I was instructed to do by my financial advisor and she refused to take my card and also proceeded to tell me she doesnt sign her cards either and told me she also doesnt give the clerk a hard time when they dont accept it... I use my credit card all the time never had an issue before and even at the online post office website, they dont need a signed credit card to use it on their website... I was fine all up until she told me I was giving her a hard time. In Raphael Engbarth review 2 post down from mine we are talking about the same person. I cant say this review reflects the Poquoson post office as a whole but does reflect my experience with the clerk that day.

Third time the carrier for Bethel Manor has misplaced a package I was expecting. There excuse is the carrier is new, yet that was over a month ago from the first incident. The first two times they had claimed to have delivered my package but no one was available at the time of delivery. Then this last time is what set me off. They tracked my package and marked it as delivered to parcel locker. I checked my mail, had a key, and when I opened it...it was empty!! EMPTY! I called and spoke to Mary who said the key can open different boxes (security?) and that, you guessed it, she is new. I asked if they would look for my package and I was told they already went out there today and I would have to wait until tomorrow. I called today after not receiving the package and asked about filing a claim. I was asked if I had insurance on it and if not, I was out 60 dollars because of them. I would not piss on this place to put it out if it were on fire. The most ignorant, uneducated group of people Ive ever dealt with. The carrier should work a simpler job like mcdonalds. Clearly high-school education and reading skills are not a requirement to work for usps. NEVER using them again, and neither should you.

This branch continuously fails to forward mail properly to new address. Lost my mail on several occasions. This particular offices policies prohibit use of recycled flat rate boxes covered in packing paper as non flat-rate priority mail packages. When asking the manager to explain why they love killing trees she failed to produce a nationwide USPS policy mandating such rules. There may or may not be one but she couldnt identify it and kept parroting "Its my policy. Its my policy", and would not work with me to get my package delivered. Also, notice that the USPS is nearly the only large business that does not permit "See ID" as a valid signature on the backs of credit cards. This branch wont take them and wont let you sign them the way youd like either once youre there. Once again the manager wouldnt work with me, dont bother asking for her unless youd just like to make a point. Avoid aggravation and use a different USPS office (she is the manager of the Langley branch too) or another non-government postal/package delivery service.

I have mailed literally THOUSANDS of packages and recieve HUNDREDS and this Post Office is by far the very worst. They refuse to take accountability for anything. What is the use in scheduling a package pick up if they never pick up the pacakges and just lay incoming packages on top of the out going. Or why schedule a mail hold when they still deliver your mail and leaving packages at the door when the resident is hundreds of miles away. Both have happened on numerous occassions to me. Oh and the best is marking packages delivered before they have even left their office which is against policy all because they didnt have enough working scanners. And us residents are completely SOL of filing a claim if the package goes missing because it was marked delivered. This PO location needs a complete overhaul. They are the crappiest location I have ever dealt with and I have lived in MANY locations across the US and have dealt with many POs mailing hundreds of packages for a business.

This is definitely the worst US Post Office that I have come across during our 7 years as a military family. They have lost one of my packages and told me "there was nothing they could do", along with several in our military community. Today, a package was en route to be delivered yet never was. Upon checking the tracking information it said that an authorized recipient was not available, which is untrue because I was home the entire day. It also said there was a notice left, which there was not. Either 1. they attempted delivery to the wrong address or 2. the mailman didnt feel like delivering it and chose otherwise.

Worst Post Office ever. Here is one thing I dont understand. I paid for an item to be shipped to me, I have been waiting over a week for it finally gets here, and they put it in the wrong package box. So I call them to report this, they cant do it till tomorrow. Why, I paid for a service and you didnt provide and now I get to suffer? Thank you for that awful customer service. This shows 1 or 2 things. 1: your employees can not tell the difference between a 1P or 2P, or you just hire people with the lowest of intelligence you can find. This is why the USPS is going out of business and I for one welcome it.

Been going to this post office for years and they havent let me down yet- my only complaint is that I often send my amazon packages here and even though the package gets delivered on time, Im told they cant give it to me because they need a full extra day to process it even though sometimes I see my package sitting on the side rack in the back. Still whatever policy they have on processing I can forgive them on since sending packages to my address isnt safe

Horrible Customer Service, they marked a tracked package of mine delivered, but failed to deliver it to me. Their main response was " what do you want us to do? Fire the carrier?, dont you ever make a mistake?" Fantastic customer service. Apaprently you dont need to have accountablility when you are government? I will try to avoind using the USPS alltogether, especially this location.
