GO TO URBAN STYLE LAB INSTEAD! Its located in DC instead of this hole. Sertac at USL there is a coloring god!!! Its disappointing after reading all the rave reviews and researching a salon to have an experience such as I did. I cant even remember the hairstylists name, but she needs to be brought up on her training for highlighting, or have Tabatha come to the salon and instruct. There was easily 1/4" of roots showing after it was done (I have very dark hair and wanted rich chocolate brown with some discreet blonde highlights), AND there was absolutely no blending! You could tell it was dyed, and when the hair was pulled back, there were straight lines. I understand a colorist shouldnt get to close to the scalp because there is the danger of burning because of the chemicals, but you dont see celebrities showing their roots. I expressed my displeasure and wanted it fixed, which they were happy to do, but after going back to have it fixed they wanted me to pay half of the amount again, when I refused saying it was their mistake, there was some verbal exchanges with the owner. Ended up paying because what other option did I have, but last time I will ever go there.

After visiting (twice) I have to say that I am extremely disappointed in their service. My original appointment was to get my hair dyed blonde. Ive never done it before, I told the stylist I wanted to go blonde but have it still look natural- not zebra streaky. She recommended a full head of highlights. My hair is normally light brown. When she was finished, my hair was light brown. No change. I told her then and there that I wasnt happy and she told me to sit on it for a few days to decide. I did, and called back the next to to tell her I still wasnt happy. I paid waaaay too much to walk out with the same color that I started with. She rescheduled and a week later I went back to have it fixed. This time I brought a picture of exactly what I wanted. 2 hours later- I walked out with exactly what I didnt want. I still have brown hair, now it just has streaky highlights in it. The one thing I specifically said I didnt want. I am extremely unhappy with their services and dont plan on returning.

I want to start by staring I hate hate hate writing bad reviews but found this experience to be warranted. I called Noufal for a blowout appt. I asked how much it would be and she said Yana (sp?) charges $55. I confirmed the appointment and showed up at the time scheduled. Upon getting seated, this abrasive women comes to be and says "okay so what would you want today? Did you bring a picture?!" Uhm no. I told her I wanted to keep my natural curls and if she could use a diffuser. She answered. "Well I would be here all night". She then said there was an upcharge for my hair. I dont mind spending money on my hair but this womans attitude made me walk out of there. I have never done that before. Im a business owner myself and spend a lot of time with my customers. I give out referrals constantly. Sadly, the business owner is losing good customers due to an uncouth employee.

I went in to get my nails and hairdo. The receptionist told me the blow-dry was $35 but then when I went to pay, she said its 50. Its a cheap way to get customers in the door. The owner of the salon was supposed to do my hair and he first helped a lady who came in afterwards because she had a hair dye (more money of course) and then took a cigarette break even though I told him I was running late for a dinner. When he finally did my blowdry, he put on hair spray so he wouldnt have to go over it with an iron! Worst experience ever! Very unprofessional staff. The other hair stylist was making fun of her boss -- who does that? Will never be going back.

I have tried a few of the salons suggested in the Washingtonian Magazine for curly hair and they were mediocre and pricey. Every one in salon is very friendly. When I first met Natalya we had a thorough consultation. My first haircut was stunning. It totally fit my personality, lifestlye, and texture of hair. I also have my hair colored and I cannot believe how natural and what depth and shine my hair has., It is a best salon ever!!!!

I have found MY hair salon! It is classy and has a great atmosphere. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, making you feel welcomed and at ease. The color and cuts I’ve got there have always met and exceeded my expectations, making me leave feeling beautiful and pampered. I would recommend this salon to anyone!

I got in for a last minute appointment for a haircut because my parents were coming to town and I didnt want to have yet another conversation about my hair with my mother. From the front desk to the shampoo to the cut to the overall experience was great! I did have to wait a little bit but it was a good day.

Not only is the salon itself immaculate, the staff is friendly, helpful, and very creative! Natalya Anderson is amazing and was incredibly kind and did a great job with my hair. I strongly recommend seeing her for colouring, styling for any event, or just a cut! Overall, great studio!

I have verrrry long hair which I color from blonde to dark brunette every 4 weeks. Joey is an expert and is so careful with my hair. It looks and feels better than ever. They have very high quality products. The salon is beautiful and all the staff is great.
