I walked into Arthur Murray about two years ago, on a rainy night, to ask about the studio. I returned to the studio the next night and have not stopped dancing there since then. Wendy and Taras are true professionals and have made me feel like a family member of Arthur Murray rather than just a student. The rest of the staff, comprising of Katie and Eric, shine with the upmost confidence as well, demonstrating their professional knowledge of each dance they teach, in either group or private lessons. Wendy, Taras, Katie, and Eric not only teach students to dance, but help single students, or couples, develop, or strengthen, self confidence on a personal level, or social level, throughout each lesson. The students at Arthur Murray are also friendly and courteous and make the new students comfortable as soon as they walk through the door, immediately shaking hands and introducing themselves. I am proud and honored to be part of Arthur Murray Virginia Beach and more than highly recommend the studio as THE place to be in which to learn to dance! Stop by and see for yourself why, after every lesson, each student is saying, "Teach us more!"

While growing up, dancing was never really on my radar. It was my sisters who got involved with dancing, like ballet. As I became older though, I realized that having two left feet wasnt doing me any favors. I wanted to finally change that. After looking into different studios and working up my courage, I contacted Arthur Murray Virginia Beach. They set me up with a trial lesson the very next day and I have continued taking lessons for a few months now. Needless to say, I could not be more pleased with their instruction. The entire staff makes you feel very welcome and at ease, which is especially important when youre new and unsure of what dancing is all about. They are all excellent dancers and teachers who are genuinely interested in making you a better dancer, whatever your goals may be. I can honestly say that its been one of the best decisions of my life. With that said, I encourage you to take that first step. Give them a call and schedule a trial lesson. Theres nothing to lose but a great family and dancing to gain!

This dance studio is definitely the best place to learn and practice dancing in Virginia Beach. The staff is outstanding. Taras and Wendy, the owners, are former high level competitors as well as incredible coaches. The other dance instructors are as good as they are passionate in what they do. Moreover, they are the nicest people and the atmosphere in the studio is always friendly, which helps a lot to get over inhibitions everyone has when it comes to dancing. The other students are always supportive and make you feel very comfortable whatever your skill and level are. The syllabus is very well done and consistent to help you improve without being frustrated. It is the same in all Arthur Murray studios which allows you to easily dance with other Arthur Murray students and instructors all across the country. After a couple of weeks at the studio, dancing became a very important part of our life and provided unexpected benefits. We could not have wished for a better place to learn it.

Arthur Murray Dance Studio is the best dance company in Virginia Beach. I invited them to perform at Kellam High School and the students absolutely loved their performance. The dance instructors were easy to follow because their teaching techniques allowed them to create a welcoming and engaging learning environment. The students were so enthusiastic about what they learned from the dance instructors that they even suggested having dance classes during study blocks. I love dancing and I had a lot of fun with them. All the teachers who participated in the event loved the dance company, and they are still talking about how great it was. We really appreciated their willingness to come and teach. Personally, I had a great time, and I learned a lot from the performance. It was a great day, and I hope they come back to perform at our school.

As true beginners, my now-husband and I were a bit nervous about formal dance lessons in preparation for our wedding. However, after we used our two lesson Groupon, we happily signed on for more! Chris immediately made us feel comfortable and quickly generated a road map so that our first dance was choreographed but also natural and easy to photograph. Every time we left a lesson we felt like 1) we accomplished something, 2) we got even better and 3) we had fun! The staff are exceptionally warm and welcoming and we cannot wait to use our group lessons to learn some new dances! Chris is an excellent teacher and coach and her ability to break things down and laugh with us made our Friday night lessons a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this studio to any first-timers who want to dance competently and have a good time!

By far one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life was to enter the Arthur Murray dance studios April of this year. I had contemplated dancing for years and came initially for a few lessons. Little did I know it would turn into an absolute passion! A major part of the reason is due to the incredible staff at Virginia Beach. Each of them exudes a tremendous amount of professionalism and patience but they also know how to have a good time, in turn causing you to laugh most of the session and have fun as well. I am constantly telling friends and family about the studio and my love for dance and have had several join me for sessions. They have also commented on what a wonderful place it is and how much fun dancing looks. Compared to other studios, you wont be disappointed here.

My nieces late-May wedding gave me the "excuse" Id been looking for to start dance lessons. My college-aged sons and I signed up together and after only a month of instruction, we were comfortable enough on the dance floor to truly enjoy her reception. It was fun to see how confident my sons were on the dance floor! We all enjoyed dancing so much that we continued lessons through the summer. My older son took his new passion back to college and started lessons on campus with his girlfriend. I have continued my program and thoroughly enjoy my time with the staff and my fellow students. The studio is beautiful; the staff is professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. You will learn quickly and discover a side of yourself you did not know was there!

Not a Ballroom Dancer? Arthur Murray Virginia Beach will make you one! I started over 3 years ago with zero experience and skills. Today I am proficient in many styles of dance and am often asked to dance by others at parties and other events! The secret is simple: the staff are all certified instructors and their focus is entirely on you the student. You learn at your own pace so you never have to fear getting left in the dust. Whats more is they actually make learning to dance fun so you enjoy every minute! I never imagined I could ever be a skilled dancer, but Arthur Murray made it happen.

After 44 years of marriage, my husband told me that he had always wanted to take dancing lessons. What a delightful surprise! We started taking lessons at the Virginia Beach studio at the end of June, and we are having so much fun! Wendy, Taras, Katie, and Eric are amazing dancers and excellent instructors. We want to thank Eric for his patience and encouragement...and for his sense of humor. :) We just wish we had taken lessons when we were younger, but I guess we are living proof that you are never too old to learn to dance!
