My daughter has been at the Virginia Beach Goddard School since June 2008 and we LOVE it!! It is by far the best preschool that I came across in my somewhat extensive search for a place for my child to go. It is unbelievably clean and my daughter has ALWAYS been well-cared for. The directors are FABULOUS!!! They are very professional and they are also very caring. They get to know each and every kid and they greet every child (and parent) by name at drop-off and pick-up. Also, the teachers there are AMAZING!! In the 3 years my daughter has been there we have been sad to leave the teachers she had at the times she moved up but that sadness didnt last long. Those that she went to were just as amazing!! They do so much with the kids and she is learning so much every day she is there. She has made a lot of really good friends and I am not looking forward to the day that she graduates Kindergarten and we have to move on. It is a GREAT school and I know when I drop my daughter off every morning that she is safe, happy, and intellectually stimulated throughout the day. I would HIGHLY recommend this school to anyone!! (I did want to comment on the Sept 4, 2009 comment made....That is not the Virginia Beach Goddard School. Like I said, I have been a member of the VA Beach Goddard Family since June 2008 and there has not been a director named Katie since we arrived at the school.)

I have two children who have attended the Goddard School in Virginia Beach--Strawbridge area. It is BY FAR the BEST school in the Hampton Roads area. It is clean, well maintained, has excellent administrative staff and the teachers are amazing. The always go the extra mile and when both my children graduated from the kindergarten they were so ahead and both are doing exceptionally well in elementary school. I am amazed at how well the school is run and the owners are on-site just about everyday. They are actively involved in everything. My oldest was in the Goddard in Chesapeake for a short time and I pulled him out since it was run very poorly. I tried the Virginia Beach Goddard when I was able to get in and I am so glad I did! The owners make a big difference!!!!! YOU WILL LOVE THIS SCHOOL!!!!!!!

IMPRESSIVE, CARING STAFF...Upon my first tour of the facility I knew it was special. It is simply exceptional; you know kids are having fun AND learning. The directors and owners were very interested in making sure my family made the best decision in choosing the center, they didnt just want our money, they were genuinely concerned with our choice to send our son to the school. I receive phone calls and photos about my sons day every so often. They schedule great activities and their curriculum is well thought out for each age. My son is stimulated physically and mentally everyday; he is so happy when I pick him up. TWO enthusiastic thumbs up. This school is truly and investment in your childs future.

I live in a neighborhood where several children go to this Goddard School. I have to tell you that I have heard such amazing things about this school that I wish I still had children at home! The activities I hear that the teachers do with the children and the care and concern that all the parents rave about makes me a believer! Plus I sub at a couple of the elementary schools near to it and even the teachers of the elementary school talk about how glad they are to have this Goddard Schools students in their classes. It must be a fantastic place!

I am an educated professional who contacted this school when seeking a preschool for my toddler. I was astounded at the rudeness, vague response to questions, and clear lack of concern for parents or children displayed by the director. My interest in this "school" was quickly extinguished. When I discussed my experience with my husband he was not surprised, since he had heard similar stories from his professional colleagues. Hence, none of us considered this school as an option for our children.

Not military friendly esp if your hours change and you need a refund due to the fact you dont need your child watched anymore because you work weekend nights and they dont offer weekends. The owners are very knowledgeable and will talk down to you and repeat themselves till they get their way. Also very greedy with money esp when a military member cannot control their work hours. In other words Im out more than a thousand dollars and my son hasnt even stayed there a day yet.

The owners of this school lied to my wife and I when we were thinking about sending our son there. The female owner was actually rude to us. In speaking with other parents at our current daycare, thats apparently her reputation. You should go to the Primrose School in that area, they just opened and are quite friendly.
