Honor, Loyalty and Respect! Hands down the best haircut, most consistent haircut and most enjoyable experience! If you want an amazing fade this is were you go. My Story: I currently live in Issaquah. I wanted to go and get a haircut so i found a very "nice" barber shop- Waldon Barbers, Issaquah WA- where haircuts are $50+. How bad could it be right? So I called and scheduled an appointment and ask the girl who answered, "Who can do the best fade?" So she gave me a name of one of the ladies there. Once I sat in the chair she seemed confident about what she was doing.............Dear baby jesus what happened to my hair! I come from a military background I know what a fade is. This was like a drunk farmer too his tracker out and made a lopsided crop circle! I went storming out of that shop with a full throttle and 35min of driving, heading to Factoria to get my hair fix by Standing on Top Barbershop! Every time I walk in i immediately know im going to get a good laugh. With the conversations flowing and great personalities its always a good experience. I sat down in my girl Consuelas chair and she went to work! I didnt think my hair was fixable! 10min later she had a very VERY! happy client and I will consistently go back to her and refer every one of my friends to her. My fade is one of the best and I will now walk with my chest pushed out and feeling good because I dont a have a drunk farmer on my head now! Short story: They take great care of their clients. Typically on time. And book your appointment online as it is hard to get someone on the phone but that is because they are all cutting hair. Long story: the thing about barbershops and barbershop reviews is that its often the people who dont like their cut or the personality of the barber who write the bad review. Ive been coming to this shop for years. Not every experience was perfect but it never is anywhere but it is always good and they strive to make it the best. I can say every year Ive come here it has gotten better from appointment booking (they have an app now), to customer service, to just the feeling you know you will be taken care of. Some barbers come and go and most who go ultimately werent a good fit but cant judge an entire shop entirely off of who is renting a chair there. Having been cut at a lot of "black shops" its nice to be able to book an appointment, get in the chair within 10min of that appointment and not have to wait for a mid-cut conversation, run out to the car, meal or mixtape burning to get out of that chair. I will always come back and keep recommending SOT to people. Mike cuts and treats me right every time.

My boyfriend and I both come here and always have a great experience. People complaining about waiting for 10 minutes... that happens at every barbershop and salon. I work at a high end hair salon with a barbershop inside and still choose to come get my hair cut here because they do such a good job with my short cuts. Ive been cut by a few different people here and always leave feeling like I had a great experience. They are fun, always have something good on TV, engage in good conversations, and listen to your requests and really make you feel like you got what you came for. Some of them are cash only FYI. Alex recently did my hair and he usually doesnt do designs but he does great lines and gave me a super cool cut this last time so I will definitely be going back to him! I read someone elses review that he is racist... whats more than likely the case is someone judged him based on the tatts all over his body and head/face and treated him with disrespect and then got what they deserved in return lol. As a young female I felt very comfortable in his presence and had no issues with him at all.

Alex is a Hawaiian Racist with a very very bad attitude, the worst personality I have ever seen with a barber. He does not not know how to treat customers and is very hostile. He snaps when you ask simple questions and turns questions into an argument. He definitely does not need to cutting anyones hair, I will never go to him to cut my hair, and he made me want to find a new Barber Shop. I have never been treated so badly anywhere any place. I did not know the person that I had my appointment with when I walked in Alex was cutting someonew else. I waited in the waiting area chair for 20 minutes, when Alexs chair cleared I asked him was he the person that I had my appointment with he said that he could not give me a haircut because he was cleaning his equipment and waiting for his next customer. He saw me sitting in the waiting area for 20 minutes and said nothing to me. Then he started with his racist attitude and told me that he did not want to cut my hair because I had too many questions on when I could get my haircut.

Ive lived in a lot of different cities and a couple of different countries and this is one of my favorite barbershops. I schedule appointments with Alex Kinney and hes one of the best barbers to cut my hair. Another poster claimed that "Alex is racist". Im half black and half white and Ive never experienced racism with Alex or Standing On Top Barbershop. On top of that, I was also the customer next in line (during this "incident") and I can 100% verify that Alex wasnt being rude at all. GET YOUR HAIR CUT HERE.

I called they dont answer. I made an appointment on a service they tell you to use. Showed up 10 minutes before my appointment (it took me one hour to get there cause I dont have a car). They guy wasnt even there. Nobody bothered to give me a call or nothing. They just blamed it on the barber. Very smart.

Booked my first appt there mid-December and I was thoroughly impressed with the level of service, the great conversation and the excellent cut and shave I received from Mike Daniels. Ive been looking for a neighborhood barber that does it right ol skool. Fantastic experience! Nice Job SOT!
