To bad the front desk guy messed this up for all the hair stylist. I have been going to The Shop since it opened and started going to the one in Enumclaw first. Today I called at 1230 to see if there was a wait and the "boy" that answered the phone when I asked if there is time at 1 for a hair cut? He said "there should be",(sounded like he was sleeping or high) I repeated you said "there should be"? . He replied "I guess". So I spent my time and gas to go to The Shop in Covington When I got there at 1250 the "boy" told me there was a 30 min. wait. The hair stylist at the first station said if you call and put your name on the list you wont have to wait. I looked at him and said that is why I called, to put my name on the list and not have to wait. He said "well I didnt know you wanted your name on the list" (figured that is why when i called I was asking if there was a wait) he sounds like he smokes to much pot or something. Just to end this...because of this you have lost a long time customer because of his attitude on the phone and when I walked in the shop. Didnt want to help just want to prove me wrong. Not coming back. Customer services has gone to hell. I dont trust ppl with my hair if they dont even have that. I will let my daughter know not to go there and word of mouth will get around.

Ive had my hair done at The Shop in Covington probably 6-8 times, and my sister has had her hair done by them at least that many times. It seems really hit and miss. Sometimes my cut was awesome, and sometimes it just wasnt quite right. They like to do a lot of layers and stuff, which looks great when they style it, but if youre someone who doesnt want to spend lots of time blow drying and curling your hair (15mins is about the most I like to spend on my medium/short hair). One awesome (and sometimes bad) thing about the shop is that they dont do appointments. You can call in advance and get your name on their list and/or find out if the stylist you like is in that day. Its cool to be able to just walk in, but its kind of annoying to call and try to find out when the stylist you like will be in that week. The shop is decorated nicely, and the staff are always polite and nice. When I came back in to have my haircut tweaked cause it wasnt quite right they were very nice about it.

I really enjoyed my experiences at The Shop! I went in without an appointment the first time and did have to wait about half an hour to get my hair cut, but thats to be expected if youre a walk in. My stylist cut my long-ish hair into a pixie cut and told me if I wanted something changed I could come back for free within the week! Indeed I did come back the next day to get it trimmed even shorter, and didnt have to wait at all this time. Ive been going back every month or so since to get my hair trimmed and I love it every time!

I get my hair cut and dyed here religiously. They worked with me to create a custom color and although they keep losing my card, the color is almost always the exact same every time and doesnt damage my hair at all. Their hair cutting services are always perfect as well, which means something since Ive had an asymmetrical pixie for the longest time and that stuff is not easy to cut! Theyre a little more expensive than Id like to pay sometimes but with their quality and customer service, I always make it work. (:

Awesome place, the price is a bargain for the quality of the haircut you get, and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend Rachel and would suggest you call ahead to schedule a time with her as there is usually quite a long wait for her. If you want a good haircut that youre happy about anyone in there will do the job however if you want a haircut that you love then you should talk to Rachel.

I love the shop for a haircut. You might have to wait but best bet is to call ahead. If you get there in 30 minutes they will put you on the list so when you do get there you have a head start on the wait. Staff is very friendly. I almost always use Rachel and am never disappointed. The only negative is the wait bench is a little uncomfortable.

I recently moved to Kent from Enumclaw, and was used to getting great service from The shop in Enumclaw. I tried really hard to like the Covington location, but the service is just terrible. I would rather go to a supercuts then ever deal with them again.

This is the spot!! No doubt, always drive by and saw this place but finally was forced to come here when the rest of the places were closed and boy was I surprised, costumer service is awesome, the atmosphere is great and the haircuts are spectacular!

Friendly stylists and rarely a long wait. I have been a patron of this business for well over six years. Occasionally, I try other salons/barbers, but end up making the drive back to The Shop in Covington to get a quality cut.

Find the stylist for you and you wont be disappointed. I am very picky about my cuts and have had some bad ones. Erica and Rachel keep me coming back.
