I decided to check this place out because of the good reviews that I read on google. What I got was horrible service and a bad cut. The lady there was rude and obnoxious throughout the whole process. She answered all of my questions with an annoyed and exasperated tone, as if it wasnt her job to deal with me or my hair. At some points, she was just plain insulting, going so far as to suggest that I go somewhere else to get my hair cut. I just smiled politely, hoping that the ordeal would soon be over. On top of the ladys bad attitude, I ended up with a half-assed buzz cut (Its almost impossible to mess up a buzz cut) that wasnt even on both sides and I was rushed out of the shop, not even given a receipt or a chance to fully look at her handiwork. The price for the 5-minute BUZZ CUT and the "pleasant" conversation that came with it was $12: nearly double what I paid for a full cut and shampoo at my previous barber. I would not recommend this barber to ANYONE. Take this warning to heart and dont trust random reviewers online when theres less than two opinions.

Went in around 12:30 and with all the posters on their door we didnt notice their "Out For Lunch Sign." From the back of the shop one of the stylists, an older woman, immediately and quite rudely shouted at us repeatedly that she was on her lunch break and we should have read the sign on the door. As we were walking out even a stranger passing by commented on how rude the encounter was. While I cant comment on the quality of the work here I can say that those 30 seconds were quite telling of the customer service here. We wont be frequenting an establishment that doesnt respect their customers enough to even say hi.

Worst experience ever. Terrible hair cut by this older gentleman that talks to a parrot threw out the hair cut, has no idea what a fade haircut should look like and on top of the bad experience he had the nerve to charge me $20 dollars ????? I could not hold my breath anymore and I said to him "Im sorry but in no way shape or format is that a $20 dollar hair cut " he said well I dont know were your from but its $20 dollars. I laughed and walked out embarrassed for him. WARNING TO ALL BAD CUTS AND OVERCHARGE

This is the best place for an affordable haircut in Santa Cruz. The staff is friendly an courteous, and does and excellent job with hair. Appointments are often not necessary, but it would be wise to call before you go in. Closed Mondays.

Its a good place to get your haircut if your on a budget. I remember trying to go to another nearby shop and I needed an appointment to even get in. No worries with that here, just go in, get your haircut and walk out.

Very small business. Shes a kind hearted person, the owner and one of the only stylists. People on this forum are too fast to judge. Shes an artist she got me to switch to short hair again. She is awesome!!

Terrible barber shop... Prepare to bleed she will give a few knicks all over. My ear got cut and was bleeding. Give a homeless man a few bucks he probably do just as good of a job. Cheers
