I recently took a new, never worn, in the box, tags on, silk dress to Lakeside for alteration. I received a call the following day asking me to come back to discuss the alteration. When I arrived at the cleaners was told they would be unable to alter the dress, however when the the dress was given to me there were spots on the front that I immediately pointed out (which now make it non returnable). It was acknowledged at Lakeside that the dress was new, never worn and was not soiled when brought in. However there was total denial that anything happened to the garment while at Lakeside. I was offered free dry cleaning of the garment (why? if they did not feel responsibility of some sort) as well as no payment for my other garments there for cleaning (which I declined).I have been a customer for over 8 years, continuing to drive extended miles to Lakeside for the last 4 years after moving from Kirkland. Very sad that loyal customers are of no value to the folks at Lakeside cleaners.

I brought in a jacket to have the sleeves altered. I received a phone call a few days later explaining that there was a tear in the sleeve and that I should come in and inspect it before the work was done. The tear was not on the sleeve but on the upper right, backside shoulder. An irregular, two inch tear that punctured the front side as well. Its obvious that some sort of machinery caused the damage. As a long time customer, Im shocked that the shop owners denied they caused the damage! "Im really disappointed and in some ways hurt that they would treat a loyal customer with this total lack of respect with an outright lie".

The shorthaired lady was extremely rude. She has no regard for customer services. I kept asking her questions whether my shirt would be ready for Saturday morning, and she didn’t give answers. While she was asking for my phone number to find me in her records she looked at me viciously and in a demeaning way without making eye contact or trying to be courteous. I didn’t feel welcomed in her places of business. It doesn’t matter if there is a language barrier, but the gesture and posture has to be there in a customer service role so a customer is welcome. This woman was blatantly rude without any regard to customer service.
