We eat occasionally at Pellegrinos and have always enjoyed our visits. The food is excellent and the menu varied and interesting. But our latest visit was exceptional because we were served by Dennis. Unfortunately he doesnt work the dinner hours, but we had an early dinner a few days ago and I can say honestly he made a good meal a fine dining experience. I ordered a mussels and pasta dish, and a garden salad, with a glass of the house red wine. It was delicious, and the wine was quite good. The salad was delightful, with fresh, sliced, sweet strawberries, walnuts and a Gorgonzola I would travel to find. The mussels were tender, plentiful, and the dish was nicely spiced. Both were a delight to the eye as well as the taste buds. The impression was fresh, well considered, well prepared, well presented, well served, and delightful to eat. I dont pretend to be a food critic, but I have been eating for 75 years and I recognize a delicious and distinctive meal when I enjoy one. And when it is served by someone who is attentive without being intrusive, and who knows the menu and how to serve graciously and efficiently, in a quiet, welcoming, and warm setting, it becomes fine dining in my book. My wife was equally delighted, with her meal, and with the service. Top notch dining.

Reservations for 7pm? When we arrived at 7pm for our reservation, we knew right away there was a problem. The hostess looked at us and frowned. She knew who we were, knew we had a reservation, but failed to save us a table. It was homecoming night for some school but we didnt know. 20 minutes later when she tried to seat us right at the door, I basically said that we would wait longer for a better table as we were looking forward to a quiet conversation. It was at this point that we came to understand that this restaurant has a problem with basic restaurant management and service ethic. In so many words, by saying that they had to seat all these large parties she was telling us to buzz off. It smelled good in there and we were disappointed. But we will never go back. There is an excellent Italian Restaurant in downtown Olympia and well go there next time. Ive said this before in other posts that the quickest way to ruin someones dinner plans is to have poor customer service.

We just left Pellegrinos and are home. We were all very dissatisfied with the food. And honestly plan on not going back there. Our server was very nice but have to admit for how little people were there it did take quite a while for service. My friend and I ordered the seafood Alfredo. She ended up not eating hers and I did my best to eat half. Besides annoyingly having the tails on the shrimp the meal wasnt hot and didnt tast fresh at all. The Alfredo sauce was chunky and not creamy. The pasta was cooked too long. My boyfriend ordered the spaghetti with Italian sausage. The sausage was very dry plus there was hardly any sausage on his plate. The noodles were mooshy and didnt care the the sauce. My friends husband ordered gnocchi with meditratian pesto. Still moosh with no flavor. We did our best to stomach down what we could being starving but are eating at home now. I never write these but being so disappointed for paying over $50 for garbage food doesnt sit well with me.

Stellar service and spectacular food await at Pellegrinos! Im having a tough time articulating because the place is just that good. So lets start with appetizers. You know how when you order fried calamari at most places, you get chewy, sad little rings that get all of their flavor from whatever you dip them into? Not here. These were tender and bursting with flavor on their own. The main course meals kept the standards high up with flavorful but not overpowering sauces. For example, when you order fettuccine alfredo at some places, the alfredo sauce is mostly cheese and salt. Here, its creamy and subtle allowing you to enjoy both the sauce and the tender pasta. Absolutely excellent. I also cant possibly praise our wonderful server, Hannah enough. She was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu! Thank you to Hannah and the kitchen staff at Pellegrinos for a wonderful dinner.

Our business had an event this last Saturday, and we decided to have the catering by Pellegrinos. We got so many compliments on the food, and the way it was decorated was just really classy. They came and dropped of the food in the morning, and made sure we had everything we needed. At the end of the event, they came and put all the left overs (which wasnt that much, since it was so tasty) in containers for us to bring home and enjoy. Pricewise they are suprisingly affordable, and they helped us to stay within our budget. In the past, my husband and I have had dinner at their restaurant, and that experience deserved 5 stars as well. Would recommend these guys to friends and family, as well to other businesses.

The food was good - better than Olive Garden but around the same price line. I had the parmesan chicken, it was good but the chicken was a little dry and tough to cut. My partner had the Tour or Italy, his chicken was dry and tough as well but the tortellini and fettuccine was delicious. We also shared the breaded ravioli and it was very yummy. The atmosphere - like I said, overall it lacked for me. I wanted a quiet dinner but we were surrounded by families and children so it was very loud. So, if youre going on a date and you want to enjoy an quiet, intimate dinner this isnt the place.

My wife got the seafood linguini and loved it. "Lots of clams, and lots of pasta," were her exact words. I, on the other hand, had the Tour of Italy. It was cold...all of it. The cheese on the chicken parmesan had already crusted. The top Alfredo noodles were cold, so I flipped the pile over to distribute the trapped-in heat, except there was none; it was cold all the way through. Same for the tortellini. Add that to the terrible parking situation and average service and this place is a one-time experience for me. I wont be back. Its not bad, just not worth the price and hassle.

The place for high quality, consistent, expertly crafted Italian food. This isnt Olive Garden that uses Fake powdered cream and value added products and tries to dress them up. This is the real deal, run by a true and friendly Italian family . They use top shelf products and recipes handed down from generations. They have top chefs and planners with their Catering service as well. One of the top Caters in town. If youre invited to an event or wedding and you hear its catered by Pelegrinos DO- NOT- MISS- IT! (you can thank me later) ;)

First of all, Pepsi!! Points for that! Second, I am gluten free and ordered the Chicken A La Forno. Let me tell you, it was the best gluten free pasta meal I have ever eaten in a restaurant. I have eaten at other gluten free restaurants, and they are good, but this was super yummy! The cocktails were awesome as well. Our server was great. They had a homemade gluten free roll, which was flavorful as well. It was really a biscuit, but for us gluten freebies, its great! You wont be disappointed with the gluten free selection here!
