This gym is an excellent place to work out! Ive been a member for a little over a year now, after stumbling across a sign for the gym on the side of the road. I paid $200 for a year membership, and you even get a key to the front door so you can workout anytime you want. The owner, Lonnie, is a former competitive lifter and a very very nice guy. He even helps get you started with workouts if youre needing a bit of a jumpstart. You get people of all ability and fitness levels and there is never a wait for machines. It has all the basics: treadmills, exercise bikes, ellipticals, free weights, benches, and a ton of machine assisted weight machines. He even picked up some jump stands after I had requested them for a jump workout. Youre not going to get a basketball court or yoga or aerobic classes, or any fancy locker rooms and such, but if youre just going to workout, you cant find a better deal!

Small little office park gym that has all the neccessaries to get your bod in shape! 8 Ellipticals, 8 treadmills, 4 bikes a few stair steppers for your cardio gurus. Rest of the gym is ample. Freeweights up to 120lb. good clinging area and guess what you meat heads, CHALK!!! When was the last time you were in a gym with chalk? Everyone is super friendly and the hora is much better than the swanky expensive gyms with matching equipment all made for people under 58". Ive been a member for as long as Ive been in Kirkland and you cant beat the 2 year sign up price of $15 a month. I recently saw them change ownership which is good and bad. Old owner Lonnie will never be forgotten and once he opens up a new gym, Im switching! New owners have put in some nice touches and added free water, which is always a bonus!!

I just renewed my membership here (1 year/$199) and Im happy to report that LONNIE IS BACK! He has made some excellent changes to the gym since last year and Im very pleased. I took a year long break to get pregnant and have 2 babies, and when I walked back in the door he remembered who I was, asked me how my lifting was coming (he remembered that I was a squatter/deadlifting addict) and how hockey was going --- Im impressed and flattered that he remembered -- its that little extra effort that makes this place A+. The atmosphere was great, very friendly and people were courteous of eachothers space -- I went during the after-work crush and even though it was pretty full, people were cooperative and polite. Who can blame em, who wants to be rude/step on toes with that much heavy-lifting muscle around? :)

Eastside Gym is the best gym Ive had a membership at after trying VisionQuest, LA Fitness and Golds Gym, all in Kirkland. There are no corporate sales pitches, no supplements being shoved at you, and all the equipment you need for a solid workout. Great rates dont have any hidden fees or tricks to keep you locked in. The best part about Eastside Gym to me is that it is simple, there are plenty of free weights, a nice selection of Hammerstrength machines and Precor Ellipticals and Treadmills. Perfect place to get in, do any type of workout, and make real progress. An added bonus is that you will see the same people if you come consistently, and both the gym atmosphere and the owner are very friendly. Gym is 24 hour with a key. I will continue to renew my membership every year.

Great gym. I moved in the area as a DP student, and started looking for a descent gym immediately. Found ESG, did not need to search any further. I love the slight "crudeness" of it: slightly used equipment, installed in a garage. Hardcore! Creates excellent mood for the workout. The variety of equipment is great, no matter what your goal is - you will have the tools to achieve it. Great, friendly people working out. A lot of serious lifters who are friendly and helpful. Lonnie is great :) I was especially pleased with the fact that about 45% of all weights have KG measure along with LBS. Makes it much easier for us, EU guys.

$200 plus tax for a one year membership and NO MONTHLY FEES!! What more do you need to know? I joined today and got my one year membership although I could of paid month to month or had some other plan. $200 for a year is a great price to get into or keep in shape. While I was there on my first day. I met 3 friendly people as well. I personally find it a bonus to be able to talk to others willing to be friendly while do my workout. I was not the only one who thought that as well. With a combination of a friendly staff and members with a great yearly price and no gimmicks. This gym is in for the win!!

No frills gym where people are friendly but serious about what theyre doing. Basic cardio equipment with a focus on resistance training — five squat racks, four benches, a full range of dumbbells and a good number of machines. If youre looking for a "gym" with daycare and a built-in smoothie bar, this isnt the right fit for you. If youre looking for a community of people from diverse backgrounds who are just serious about exercising, its a great fit. Membership is very affordable and the annual option includes a key for 24-hour access.

I really miss this place. I left the area a couple years ago and have been in many gyms since...I find ways to make it work, but I havent found a place where I felt as at home as I did here. Lonny is a good guy, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, and sets the tone for a great atmosphere. The equipment is top of the line and well maintained, the facility is big and open, clean, just really a cool place to get your work done. Im sure nothings changed, great gym. Highly urge anyone in the area to check it out.

This is a great gym - its by far the least expensive around, and theres no sales pitches like at other gyms, and no upsells. Lonny, the owner, is there most of the time and is friendly and fun to talk to, and overall the gym just feels like a second home. There are plenty of free weights and cardio machines. Its easy to get to and park at, and its 24 hours (I think you have to do the 6-month plan to get a key, but I forget. Anyway its totally worth it). I highly recommend Eastside Gym.

Fantastic place to workout, all the essentials and a lot of the non-essentials. Plenty of rack and bench space for big lifts, 2-3 sets of dumbbells for every 5 pounds, and theres always open machines and cardio spots even during the after-work rush. Everything is clean, and like all the other reviews say, the owner Lonnie is a really great guy, super easy to deal with and no sales pressure at all. Cant recommend Eastside enough.

The price is great and the staff is very nice. My main problem with this gym is that every time i go here, its packed full of people and there is no air conditioning (Just a big fan propped in front of an open door) which makes it so hot and stuffy in the gym. Also, the equipment seems not well kept and a little out of date I will be switching to the Golds Gym in Kirkland. Sorry! I just think things could be better.
