I started climbing here almost exactly a year ago and its been a great experience. The variation in routes and the route setting is excellent. Being able to use the auto belays is very convenient, especially if you climb often by yourself. You can get a full workout in here by traversing the gym, doing a bunch of autos, and bouldering. Staff is friendly and experienced, they always say hi and make it a welcoming/comfy atmosphere. Ive taken two classes with Andy and his instruction was on-point for both the lead class and the sport anchor class. Now that im in Bellingham I really do miss this gym and cant wait till im a regular again.

Friendly staff and good routes. Most times they top out at 5.11- but soon have a couple higher than that. But while some other gyms in the area may have higher walls, VW has better quality walls where routes will often require use of "natural" features. A couple of good cracks here on auto-belays provides diversity and training opportunities. The bouldering section also offers a lot of diversity and socialized problem-solving during peak times.

Best rock climbing place ever! The staff is very experienced and they love changing up the routes every once in a while! It never gets tiring. Come here with a group of friends; the atmosphere is very exciting and engaging.

Pretty cool gym but the music was killing my mojo. They played nickleback, good charlotte, smash mouth, and other dreadful relics. Its 2016 and those songs are not timeless classics.

Usually not crowded inside. Staff nice and knowledgeable. Clean. Parking may get crowded when picking up kids after classes. Has free wifi.

Great place they change the bouldering courses about every week.Try to come when its not busy.They need an air conditioner though.
