My stylist was Karen. She was extremely rough throughout the whole process. I have to give a strong warning that repeatedly getting weaves from her will damage your scalp and cause your hair to break and not regrow. She shampoos with the intent to draw blood. She stabs you in the head with the teeth on the blow dryer comb. And she melted a piece of plastic into my natural hair at the site of the weave closure. The weave is still in and I cringe to think about the bald spot and damaged scalp that will be left over from the molten plastic. Throughout the process she says tell me if Im hurting you but totally DISMISSES your pain. Her FALSE GOD doesnt stop her from buying stolen goods either. Bottom line find someone more professional and appreciative of your business. As a matter of fact while she was doing my hair she took a phone call and informed the caller on the other end that she could help cause someones hair to go grey and fall out by causing stress to the person.

Not sure why, but this is still my favorite beauty supply in the South End. Even though it changes owners all the time, the store itself doesnt seem to change much. Maybe because its bigger than a lot of other places? I was looking for Havana hair, and they only had Marley -- but in a good selection of colors. I like the 27/613 combo mixed with plain 27 and the light gray and they always have all of those in stock. Plus a whole aisle of crochet. Lots and lots of product and a wall of beads, barrettes and other hair stuff for little girls.

This review is for the Hair Salon at the back of the store... Wow, it is amazing to finally find a Natural Hair Salon that is serious about its customers in the Pacific Northwest!!! I went in yesterday (Nov. 23rd, 2014 - YES, it is open on Sundays!!!), and Jamila was EXCELLENT! She is VERY attentive and asks all the pertinent questions upfront AND all through the process to ensure that her customer is satisfied with the result. She has definitely found a new customer; and it is SO worth the hike from BC! Thanks Jamila!!!!

Im not sure about their hair stylist but the sales associates are AMAZING! Nice Asian women, answered all my questions, no complaints didnt force me to buy, she even suggest that I gave it some time, look at other stores and then if I wanted to come back and see her! Plus there deals on hair are unbeatable. I just bought 3 bundles of straight 1b hair, some off brand for 10 each and it looks great. I can even curl it! I WILL BE RETURNING FOR ALL OF MY BEAUTY NEEDS :)

I purchased an item and gave the cashier cash transaction. The cashier gave me back the wrong change. Alerted the cashier about the much lesser change given to me and the manager refused to make up the difference and the cashier denied receiving a much larger bill when purchasing the item. They took extra cash from me and I will no longer purchase any items there.

I searched everywhere for hair products for my locks: nowhere was had what I needed, then I was introduced to this place - somewhere I passed so often and just never figured. Karen did use to work there and she messed my hair up and all I asked for was a flat iron...when she washed my hair it was the worse feeling I ever felt...I couldnt wait for the while experience to be over! Me and my friend were very unpleased

The man and lady were so helpful and kind. I immediately recognized the man from another hair store I used to go to, and he was so amazing. They have a great selection of hair and this is the only place I go to now
