I started seeing John Jarman and his trainers at Summit Strength and Conditioning about 9 months ago. Since I have scoliosis, I was experiencing constant severe back pain that left me unable to do normal daily tasks. Not wanting to accept narcotics as the solution, I searched for a physical therapy program. Fortunately, I found the best personal trainer in the Puget Sound, John Jarman! He has helped me regain my strength and mobility so much that I am more than just functional. I can say proudly that I have less pain now than I did 10 years ago and seldom turn to medication for relief. Before I started the physical fitness program with John, I seriously thought the good days were behind me and that I was going to have to learn to live with the terrible pain for the rest of my life. I know that is not the case now and if I keep at it, I won’t ever have to feel the pain I was experiencing just a short year ago.

My wife and I were referred to Summit Strength and Conditioning by a friend a couple months ago. My wife had been working out for a while but I hadnt worked out in a gym or with a personal trainer in almost 20 years. I was pretty apprehensive at first because I feel that many personal trainers tend to be a little overzealous and have a tendacy to overtrain. Especially with people over 50. After two months my wife and I have significantly increased our strength and flexibility. In addition, we feel like our trainer John Jarman has been very tuned in to some of our previous injuries and has been creative in working around these injuries at the same time helping us build our strength and flexibility. John has been very focused on helping my wife and I achieve our personal strength and conditioning goals in a timeline that makes sense for us. I highly recommend Summit Strength and Conditioning.

My wife and I spent about a year working with John and his staff. We participated in the TRX classes and also took personal training from Jeff. All the staff at the gym had vast training experience and were vested in helping us achieve the outcomes we were looking for. The experience was much more personal and rewarding than the larger gyms. Our personal trainer was Jeff who, despite his misguided football fandom and obsession with tall socks is very knowledgeable and a great teacher. From creating personalized routines to monitoring and correcting our form, Jeff was the best coach I have had to date and though we have moved away, we still use the programs and workouts that Jeff created for us.
