The first time I went in there I got an excellent haircut by Mustafa and was going to make this my regular shop. Thursday Morning I went in and put my name on the board for Mustafa and gladly waited an hour for a great cut. My name was next on the board and I was anxious because I was very busy that day. He got a call from someone in the middle of a beard trim and went over and put 3 more names under mine. His friends showed up before the cut was done. Instead of calling me over after waiting an hour he let his friend who had just walked in the door sit down ahead of me. I just left I was pretty pissed off but how are you gonna cuss out your barber before he cuts your hair. You just lost a customer. Good job Mustafa

So glad I found this place after moving back to Vancouver. Reviewing places is not something I typically do, but I just wanted to further reinforce the fact that this place is a great barber shop. All the Barbers are talented, the prices are fair, and the community and hospitality within the shop is great. I found it irritating and self-absorbed that people post reviews giving this place 1 star because they waited 2 hours for the haircut. If you walk in and you see a line and you cant wait, then dont wait. Their hours are posted and I have seen people getting their haircut well past their typical closing time. Bottom line this is a great barber shop, and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

I am an old school kinda guy. I usually look for trophies of game and fish, sports, car and outdoors magazines etc... so I was kind of in a bit of culture shock when I walked in. Graffiti style business logo on the wall, rap music and a rather interesting mix of old barbershop items and a snack and beverage bar. As I sat and observed the mix of clients I was impressed by the humouros banter of the barbers and customers. I decided to let Juan cut my hair and discovered it was his shop. He did a great job, right down to shaving the hair on the back of neck with a straight razor! Havent experienced that in years. I will be going back. Be sure to call in advance so they put your name on the waiting list.

More than a strip mall barber shop. I went into King’s shop for the first time today; this place has grit, it’s a cultural melting pot, much like what you’d expect to find in a place like east Los Angeles. This place has an old-school feel, great cuts and fair prices. Black and white customers greeting each other with warm smiles and embrace. King’s is an example, a microcosm of what our nation should be. Mustafa cut my hair; he is a quiet man with a steady hand, he cut my hair precisely to spec. Best I could tell the barbers are all craftsmen in their own right. If you are seeking a phony and soulless environment Google “Supercuts” and move about your business. -Nick

I went into this shop a couple months back looking for a good barber since I am newer to the Pacific Northwest. I am a female so naturally I went into the shop a bit intimidated. Once I sat down with Ryan I was immediately at ease. I love coming to this barber shop. It makes me feel at home with all the laughs and stories. Ryan takes his time in your haircut as well. He never rushes and treats you like way more than just a customer. I really enjoy this shop so much. Customer for life for sure :)

I dont write many reviews, but I am irritated enough to right now. I walked in and put my name up and I was the next one up after the person currently in the chair. The barbers were chatting which was good and it made a good atmosphere. What isnt good is having to wait 45 min to get into the chair and then another 45 for a BASIC cut. I have had many barbers most of them 60+ years old and none of them took that long. The work was well done, but it wasnt worth it. Not going back.

Been coming here for a long time. Recently got a haircut and I literally asked one of the workers for it to be long but not to long and went super short. I asked him why he went short if i didnt want it like that and he said that the sides were to short but my sides were literally super long. Not enough for the size i wanted. I told him i didnt like him he didnt do anything about it and ended up paying the full amount for a haircut that i didnt like. Never coming here again

With the talent the guys down at Kings Barber Shop have it blows away competition. Theyre outstanding performances in professionalism and down to earth characters makes the haircut experience sensacional. Best spot to hit up if youre in need of the haircut!!!

Since.moving to the Couv, and finding this place I cant go anywhere else and get a great shave and cut for a better price. The guys here are down to earth and the atmosphere has got that old school barbershop feel making it the place to go.

When I moved to Vancouver I was driving to Portland for my hair cuts. I found this place and I been coming here every since. This is a place that makes you feel welcome and had a relaxed environment. Good place to go.

Although the wait was long, the haircut I got was top notch for the price. They take their job seriously, and are definitely perfectionists. My advice is to go as early as you can to ensure you get a spot.
