I went to Belu Salon with high hopes. I saw that it had a great rating, and a lot of people seemed to like it in the reviews. I was looking for a new salon to attend because at my old salon my hairstylist had quit. I am use to paying $12 for a guys cut, which includes a wash, a cut and a styling. And it usually takes around 10-20min to get it cut. I called Belu ahead of time to make an appointment, ask about pricing, and what the cut included. I was told that it was $20 for element 2, and it included the cut, a 10min wash/head massage, and a styling. I go in, and I was placed with Alysha. I waited about 10min in the waiting room, then I was taken up stairs, and I was asked what I wanted. I had a reference picture, and after I explained she seemed to know what I wanted. I asked her about pricing, and she said it was $25. I was in the chair, and felt bad because of the price, but I decided to go through with it. I was already there, and I sure needed a haircut. She stated to cut my hair, and she never asked me another question about how I wanted it cut. Everything seemed to go well, until she got to the back part of my hair. When she was finishing up my back, I never felt her do my edges. I asked for a square edge, and sides, but was left with a faded to nothing edge, and my sides were never done only messed up. It didnt bother me that much, until I noticed after I had left it was uneven, and there were parts of my hair that were left uncut. When she moved to the back half of the top of my hair, I asked for a long top. She was cutting the back half, and I felt a big cut of hair. It didnt feel right, but she never said anything, so I didnt ask. Later at home I found out, that she had cut a big piece of my hair, and gave me a bald spot. Lucky my hair is long enough to where I can kind of cover it up. Before she took me to get my hair washed, I had some discomfort because some hair had gone down the back of my shirt. I tried to get it off, but I couldnt. I think she knew, but never offered to blow it off with the dryer. She took me to get my hair washed, and the water was so hot! It was hurting my head, and I thought she would have noticed how hot it was, but she didnt turn it down until I asked her too. The hair wash lasted around two minuets, and I was left with a let back/wet shirt, and wet hair stuck to my shirt. We got back to the chair, and she was getting ready to style it. She gave me a few more touch ups before she styled it, and she tried to show me the back with a mirror. The lighting was bad, and I couldnt see. I let her know I couldnt see, but I told her, "I think itll be fine". She pulled out a round brush, full of hair, and I knew it was full of hair because I could feel it on my face and head. When she put it back in her pouch I looked down and say all her brushes were hairy. She finished styling my hair, and I walked down stairs to pay. I was happy it was over, because I was tired of sitting in that chair. I think it took around 40min - more than an hour. I would say I was very happy leaving, besides the time it took. Everyone there was so nice and welcoming, but its when you get down to the details that you find lots of things were wrong, and you were never told about it. I dont think Id go again, or recommend Belu. Reason being, I was charged $25, it took a while, my hair was messed up in places, and not to mention service from my stylist wasnt the best. Iv had way better experiences paying $12 for a cut, which incuded what I am being told it includes, and there Im not being left with a bad haircut. I was expecting more, especially from my stylist whos apparently been working there for around three years. I might be wrong, and it could just have been bad luck. But if you go, I hope you get lucky.

Personally, I think that they meant well, but my experience overall was bad I say this because: 1) Firstly its over priced even when working with a beginner. 2) The person in charge of my hair didnt sound confident in what they were doing, so as a customer this is not a good feeling. -I continued there because I believed they could do a good job...sometimes people believe wrong for I did in this case.. 3) I was sitting in the salon chair a long time before the the person actually in charge of my hair got to it. 4) I was getting my hair dyed and more than 5 people were working on my hair by the end of the day. -which I find weird 5ppl!!? Come on ! -the only other time I got my hair dyed in a salon elsewhere it only took one person for the fraction of the time and for $100 even. Which is pretty good for a person with very long hair. Here in this place I spent nearly 200. By the end, I was ecstatic to get out of there! I would not recommend this place to any friend, family or stranger. They are not bad people just a bit of a bad service when I went there a few months ago. Sad my hair didnt even get dyed the right shade of color. But by all means go here if you: 1) want to spend so much money. 2) sit in the salon chair for a long time before they actually get helped. Ect..

Luxury experience for everyone! The stylists here arent paid hourly, they are on commissions. Meaning, they make more money the better the job they do because return business matters. And they do good work. I went in for a simple cut and was treated like royalty. My stylist was Austin, and he was super friendly, nice, and knew his stuff about hair and WANTED me to look good just as much as I did. They had massage chairs for the rinsing portion. They gave scalp massages while shampooing. They have a beautifully decorated location. And they even gave me a christmas tree rice crispy after all was said and done. 11/10 experience. Definitely going back again. I paid $25 for my cut, and I could imagine this experience costing twice or three times as much elsewhere!

Regan is an absolute wizard!!! From the initial consult & suggestions, to the fabulous color & "do on the way to fixing what I had from elsewhere" , I can say enough about her & this salon. Professionals from the moment I walked in the door until I checked out. No matter what people were doing, they smiled & made me feel welcome. Regan listened not only to what I was able to tell her, but asked some interesting questions that helped us find a direction. Love my color and the cut -- looking forward to a long relationship with her & this salon both. The recommended products also have had a positive impact on my hair!
