I recently went to the Hair Cuttery to get an updo for a formal event. I brought photos and described what I wanted to the stylist I was assigned (I hadnt really been there before so I got an appointment and was given the stylist, Virginia). She spent an hour doing my hair and it was nowhere close to my photos. There was probably two cans worth of hairspray in my hair - it looked awful. I told the stylist that it wasnt like the photos I had shown her and that I didnt like the massive amount of hairspray that she used. She tried to comb it out and she just kept making it worse. I went home and immediately took a shower and had to rush a hairdo for my event that night. This "stylist" didnt say a word to me the entire hour she was spraying down my head. It was incredibly awkward. Needless to say, I will never be returning to this Hair Cuttery. If you live in the Charles Town area, Id suggest making the drive to another location, and if youre forced to go to the Charles Town location, make sure you dont get the stylist, Virginia. A complete waste of time and money.

I came around 4pm on Saturday June 20th. The place was busy but I was greeted nicely and given an accurate estimate for my wait. My haircutter seemed distracted and carried on conversations with coworkers as she cut my hair, as if I wasnt there throughout the whole cut. She would stop cutting to continue talking. She would look at her coworker, talking to her while actually cutting my hair. The cut was just OK, she didnt followup on doing something I specifically asked for and at the end, asked (in a you dont really want one - attitude) do you want a shampoo, I declined, which is included in the $18 cut. I barely have any hair left, and usually go to a mens barber shop, they were already closed. She spent about 15 mins to cut. She might have been beat after a long day. I gave her a $4 tip, which seemed to surprise her from a senior citizen wearing a t-shirt and shorts. I never felt I was getting personal treatment and wont go back. I thought I saw on their web site afterwards mens cuts are $14.50. I didnt ask about senior discounts.

Horrible Expierience. I went in to get a hightop fade, and I walked in already with a high top, I had about 7 or 8 inches of hair on my head. I walked out with maybe one inch of hair, and Barely any fade. We asked when we went in, and they said they could do it. They little right to our face, and they totally messed up my hair. Never EVER going back. I wouldve been fine walking out if they couldnt do it, but they lied, so I dont recomend unless you want to spend more money somewhere else to get ur hair fixed.

Just went to this facility today- 05/1017 around 10:30 am.. There were 2 stylists with 2 customers. No one in the waiting room. I was told that there was 181 minute wait time. Was given an option to wait or come back. Then I went on line after I left from there to find out that the actual wait time was 0-15 min. I am not sure why would she lie to me. It sounded fishy. Before she told me this , she did talk silently to her co worker. Would never go back there.

I walked in needing a simple cut and was finished within 15 minutes. While the initial wait was 60 minutes, I did arrive during a peak time. Despite the wait--which I spent shopping for groceries--the visit was ultimately great, being given a cut that met my standards and request. Im definitely a satisfied customer and will be going back for future cuts.

I wish I could give this a lower rating than one star. My haircut was so bad after going there that I had to buzz my hair completely and start over! There were bare spots on my scalp where they buzzed me by accident when doing a fade. Hands down the worst experience Ive had.

For some reason this place has terrible reviews, even my wife was like dont go there Ive heard bad things. I walked in today and immediately was greeted. Debbie cut my hair and was very helpful and took her time. This place deserves five stars and thanks for the cut.
