Went in today for the $76 partial highlight, cut, dry, and style package. I sat down in the chair, she went to confirm my pricing and came back and told me it would be $116 + an additional $30 long hair fee. I reiterated that I only wanted partial highlights and she tried to tell me shed have to do a glaze first, then highlights. I also was having less than an inch cut off of my hair, so the exorbanant long hair fee seemed excessive. I told her that I wasnt willing to spend DOUBLE what I was quoted, and that I would be leaving; if Im going to spend $150 + my usual 20%+ tip for my hair, its not going to be at a Hair Cuttery. The ONLY reason I went in here was to save a bit of money. I left, immediately went to a salon in Warrenton, where they laughed over her saying I needed a glaze first, promptly gave me the partial highlights and touch up just as I wanted, and charged me the actual advertised price. I was leary of booking the appt to begin with; I knew Id have to deal with the borderline harassment of the stylist to buy shampoo, but having the charge doubled before I was in the chair for 2 minutes is a new low. Not sure if Kristen is making money on the side from ripping off her clients, but I am quite sure Ill not contribute a single cent to such an, at best, shady stylist.

Hair cuttery has a bad rep for no reason at all. I went in to the place kind of skeptical but Kristin did everything and beyond! I have dark brown hair and she ombré it for me perfectly. All the staff was super nice and very professional! For sure my hair place from now on! Make sure you ask for Kristin!!!

Good place for a basic hair cut. Customer service was excellent and all the staff were friendly. Most the stylists seemed to be fairly junior people. At $21 for shampoo, cut and styling I will go here again for basic hair cuts and trims. For more fancy stuff I like xhillaration at Heritage Hunt.

Kristen is the best! Finally found someone who understands my hair! And she is always excited when I come in ready for a new change; THATS the fun part! But everyone is so very nice here and I love it! Im super excited to go again!

Been going here since it opened in2007- excellent place. Brittany has been doing my hair for about a year. She has been the only girl Ive found in the area to get it right. Highly recommend
