UPDATE - May 28, 2017 I came back to this review to lower it to 4 stars because of the gutter guards that this company promotes. They are no good. As I watch the water drip around the gutters, rather than in to them, I realize that my only solution is to remove these expensive add-ons and replace them with what I had previously used, which worked much better. Ridgetop, if youre smart, you will quit promoting your gutter guards. They are not good product. They do not work. The siding is great, but I wish I had hired a different company for the gutters altogether. Considering the fact that I have a large linear foot length of gutters, and this cost was a pretty good part of the total, its a good amount of wasted money for me. ORIGINAL REVIEW It should be known that the owner of this company will bend over backwards to resolve a problem. This company to re-sided my house, and installed gutters and leaf guard covers. 30 feet of my house is covered by a flat roof, and it turns out that covering the gutters with a leaf guard had a sheeting affect on rainwater, causing the water to flow over the gutters - down the side of the house - rather than in to them. I decided that I would remove the leaf guard sections along the flat roof to fix this. This is where I encountered my problem. The person that installed the gutter guards removed about 10 feet of termination bar along the flat section of the roof. This left the rubber roof ends exposed after pulling the gutter guards off. My complaint here is that I was left with a bigger issue in trying to reverse the work done by the company. 20 feet of this termination bar had been left in place, and the gutter successfully installed along with it. Why was 10 feet given this sort of treatment when 20 feet had been done properly? In my opinion, the removed termination bar should have been handed to me, so Id have it, along with the knowledge that it had been removed. My siding is gorgeous. I couldnt say enough good about it. But the gutters were installed just ok. The downspouts were not placed where they were to begin. One was pointed at the incline of a hill, allowing water to literally funnel back toward the foundation of the house. One downspout doesnt fold up, so Im 8 feet out from the house working around it when I mow. So the gutters werent perfect, but I hacked some fixes and was ok with them - until I found the missing retention bars. With this discovery, I hit the roof, and called the company with some savory words and opinions. This was on a Sunday. To put an end to a long story, Ill write that the owner of the company showed up at my house three hours later, got his ladder out, climbed up on to my roof, where I was working, and began to help me install the retention bar that I had bought and was installing. He then had a look at the other problems with my gutters and he promised that they would be fixed - and I believe him. I had spoken to this man on the phone and was not even close to friendly with him, and he still showed up and went well above what I would expect on a Sunday - or any other day,for that matter - but especially on a Sunday. You would do well to hire this company. They will make your house beautiful, and they will most definitely work to resolve any problems that might come up.

A few months back, we suffered storm damage to our house and garage roofs. Our insurance company had several contractors that they recommended, although they said we could choose any contractor we wanted to replace our roofs. So I researched there recommended contractors and was extremely impressed with Ridgetop Exteriors. We decided to go with them especially being recommended by our insurance company. Were very happy we did! The job coordinator Ron Jacobson explained to us everything that was going to be done, the materials that were going to be used and how they would tarp and protect the area around the house so to keep damage to my wifes flowers and mulched areas to a minimum. This was originally figured to be a two day job. Much to our delight, when the crew got here they tore right into it and finished the job in one day, completely cleaned up everything, ran magnets on wheels all around the buildings to make sure they left no nails,Ron and his assistant even pitched in to help, they were here to see that the crew was doing everything right and asked me several times if I had any concerns or questions, all I could say is how pleased I was ! Were very happy we chose Ridgetop Exteriors. We would recommend this company to our closest friends and family!

On Wednesday 8/9/17 John had scheduled a time to come to our house for the deck project listed in the email below. When John arrived at my house my wife greeted you and you were ill-prepared. You came to the meeting to discuss siding which was not part of the request. I am not sure where siding even came from as none of my request below included it. Secondly, my wife is very knowledgeable on the items that we wanted to do and your attitude towards her was reprehensible. If you were my employee and I heard of how you treated her, I would fire you on the spot. Your attitude is not something that should exist in todays world and you should be ashamed of your behavior. Considering you came to my house as a representative of Ridge Top Exteriors, I can only venture that your attitude and treatment of women is representative of the company as a whole. As a result of the two items above, we are no longer interested in getting a quote from your company. I will be sharing my wifes experience with anyone who asks for an opinion of a company to go with.

Pricing was very competitive and the crew did an excellent job installing the siding, gutters and downspouts. The crew was very hard working, pleasant, and did a very good job cleaning up the job site. There was a large crew out of the Chicago area and English was not their first language. There were a few times where this was an issue. However, a local representative came around several times a day so things always worked out fine. The only other issue had with Ridge Top had to do with a lack of communication between when we signed the contract and when they started the job. We were not given a starting date when we signed the contract which didnt bother us since we were not in a particular hurry. But several weeks went by without hearing anything after signing the contract and then we received a call on either a Thursday afternoon or Friday asking if they could start the following Monday. No real big deal but a little more lead time would have been nice. Overall, we had a good experience with Ridge Top and would use them again in the future

John, I just want to reach out and say thank you so much for your help! With the estimate and synopsis that you provided we were able to negotiate with the seller and come to an agreement on the house. Your email was vital to our negotiation process and helped to level the playing field. The Sellers general contractor was trying to convince us that the deck could be repaired for less than 1000 dollars, which I could not believe. Your estimate and synopsis gave us a solid ground to make our requests and in the end our request was met. Again, thank you so much for your help and professionalism in all this, in the future when we are ready to rebuild that deck, I will contact Ridge Top Exteriors without a doubt! You guys ROCK! Regards,
