We started taking our vehicles to F & F Automotive Service in 2004. Previously, we were taking our vehicle to the dealership in town that sold our car. They charged too much and there was nothing personal about going there. The next time we had trouble, we went to F & F. At F & F, they gave us an honest estimate and did excellent work. They informed us about everything that was wrong with our vehicle and advised us on what needed to be fixed now and what we could wait on. They were honest, professional, not over priced, and courteous. In 2011, we bought 4 new tires at a business in southern Wisconsin, as that is where we were when they needed replacement. At 13,000 miles, the tires started to make a lot of noise and caused the vehicle to shake. We took the car back to where the tires were purchased three different times and were told that there was nothing wrong with the tires. We took the vehicle to F&F where they found all 4 tires had broken belts. These people know what they’re doing and I would not take my vehicle any other place. I’m a woman and I feel that women get taken advantage of sometimes when it comes to service to our automobiles. I don’t feel that way at F & F and I have recommended them to all of my friends. We took our Mazda MX-6 to F&F after we were refered there by our normal mechanic. And what looked to be a good operation soon showed otherwise. They quoted us for a $300 job parts and labor on our water pump and "forgot" some other things they went ahead and did anyway. They changed some belts extra that they had not quoted, admittedly they did this quickly, but the job ended up costing us just under $500. On top of this the car came back running worse than it had going in, making it near undrivable which they explained on the head gasket saying they needed another thousand to fix that. Upon further inspection of my engine, it was found that they had adjusted my timing (knowingly or not is unknown) when they replaced the belt and had broken off my oil dipstick at its base. All this was not mentioned to me at the time of pickup and I noticed only after I had limped the car home. F&F looks respectable, but their service is lacking and their professionalism is non-existant. After I had my experence I have heard other stories, and I only wish I had been alerted first.

GREAT SERVICE!! I needed my truck looked at right away and F&F didn't have an opening this particular week until Thursday (we called on a Monday) since I needed it sooner I took it elsewhere...once I received the diagnoses for my truck, the shop said it would be a job they wouldn't touch! I called F&F back and talked to Jerry. Not only did Jerry say he would fix the truck if that was the true problem, but he also said he would go himself to pick up our truck from the other shop!! Once his experts took a look, they found the problem to simply be a lack of oil...OIL!! WOW!! To think we would have payed around $1200 for unnecessary work! I will say from here on out, our vehicles will ONLY be looked at by F&F!! Thanks Jerry!! ~Paul Murry

Fred & Jerry, love your new web page. I cant believe the changes to the business since we as a family started bringing our cars to F&F. When we moved to Rice Lake in 1990 my neighbors recommended F&F Auto and at that time you were at the corner of Orchard Beach and Main. I appreciate how you have always been willing to examine a noise or vibration that I would be experiencing while driving one of our family vehicles and then you giving me an honest evaluation of the problem. F & F Auto was the first business where I was given options about temporarially or permantly fixing the problem, but with safety alway being first. Your diagnostic ability is second to none, and with todays high tech cars that is so important. Thanks for your service. Clif Beyer

Ive had my Nissan at F & F a couple of times for various reasons, routine oil changes, computer chip replaced. They have always done fast and excellent work. Most recently I called to have a tune up last week. Dropped off vehicle in the morning. Called me mid morning and said every thing looked great just needed new spark plugs. I asked if new shocks were needed and again said everything looked great. F & F staff is honest friendly and quick at repairs. They arent trying to get more money for repairs that are not needed. I have 107,000 miles on my Nissan and I trust F & F to continue keeping it running for another 100,000. I will continue to go to them for my vehicle maintenance and repairs. Barb Buse

We have been bringing our cars to F & F for years and have always been very satisfied. They will give you an honest assessment of your cars repairs/needs. Our son was home on military level and had issues with his car unexpectedly. Everyone at F & F went out of their way to fix his car in time for him to return to base on time. They care about their customers--keeping the ones they have and reaching out to new ones. We have recommended F & F to many of our friends. We were referred to F&F Automotive by a friend. We were having problems with our Mazda 3 that had been diagnosed incorrectly, which led to other problems. They were able to find the problem, gave us a fair estimate and completed the repair quickly. F&F now services our Ford pickup and our Chrysler PT Cruiser. We love the way that they communicate effectively in terms of scheduling the work as well as the progress of the repair. my name is Jenny Petersen and i had heard from a coworker that F&F were pretty straight forward and didnt try to rip you off, so i went there for a quote and within a day they looked over my vehicle, told me what it needed, how much it would cost and i made an appointment and by the next week i was driving my car again. They have very friendly service and you cant beat the prices!! i would definately recommend anyone i know that needs work done on their vehicles to go to F&F!! My experience was absolutely superb!

Excellent service and very fair prices! Ive been taking my vehicle to F&F for years, and they provide me with the peace of mind in knowing that it operates smoothly and safely. They have always been honest about what repairs need to be done and have helped me prioritize those repairs to fit into my budget. Amanda is incredibly personable and always remembers me when I call or come in, and they are fantastic about answering questions and documenting all repairs done on my car.
