Its cheaper than other gyms because they dont have many free weights....almost none in fact. No weight bench just a couple of preset barbells where the weight is set. What they do have is a good amount of dumbels and machines to do just about anything you need. Only 4 Smith machines. So sometimes you have to wait for one. There are a ton of treadmills, elipticals, bikes, etc. There is an ab workout area with a bunch of machines in a circle so even if you have no idea what you are doing you can jump in and do that routine pretty easy. Staff is friendly and someone is usually cleaning when I go in. I havent ever asked for help on the machines so I dont know how knowledgable they on how to use them. There are bottles, paper towles and trash cans everywhere for people to whipe down the machines when they are done....which people do. So the place stays clean. 4 stars because the roof leaks when it rains and the Smith machines have been breaking down kind of a lot lately. If you are thinking about joining just go in and ask to look around. I did and they said sure and answered the questions I had no problem.

A while back ago I rated another planet fitness. My experience was somewhat A couple days ago I decided to give another location a chance, I was and still am going trough a bit of a hard time. I came back today and immediately was confronted by one of the employees in the locker room. Being asked to leave and question for what I had in my backpack. Once left alone and being "allowed" to take mine and only my own belongings, I discovered that a very unique electronic device. Sharp wizard 128kb was broken, screen shattered. I feel that if tonight was excluded. 4.25 With tonight, 2. Its Christmas time man, seriously... Costumers, different times of day or night, the older crowd at this gym is way more accepting and recepting than Tempe and North Gilbert. 4.5 If I were to be a bit more descriptive I would say lockers and restrooms could be cleaner. There was also both a urinal and toilet overflowing.

Moved to Mesa a few weeks ago and transferred to the local Planet Fitness gym to continue my routine. Not a very busy pf as others across the US, but very few people actually clean the equipment after sweating on it like you should. The big issue though is theft. I usually keep my stuff next to me when I work out, but decided to use the lockers only to find that someone broke my lock in the mens locker room and stole my phone, car keys, and my wallet which contained credit cards and IDs. The people working the front desk checked the cameras, but that did absolutely nothing, so police got involved. Later I found out that a month before my issue there was someone breaking into other lockers which means this is a recurring issue at the Planet Fitness in Mesa Arizona. Overall am very worried about others at that gym as anyone working out could be a thief.

BEWARE....they suck you in by telling you their monthly fee is $10.00 with no commitment, and then they push the advantage of converting to a Black Card membership which is $20.00 a month, never bothering to mention that there is a commitment, 12 months as a matter of fact. The worse part about it is the explanation when I needed to cancel "thats the way it is". 1 Star for their customer service. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GYM WITHOUT A COMMITMENT, THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM, EVEN THOUGH THEY SAY IT IS.

One of the best planet fitness locations I have ever been to . I go here every single day, its super clean everything is spread out . You have a lot of room to actually work out the way you want to . Its never packed, everybody minds their own business. So no pressure on any one judging you. The staff is very polite and respectful they greet you every time you come in and you leave. Highly recommend this location. Better then the one off McClintock and Southern

I go to this location at least 4 days a week and I enjoy my workout time. Staff is friendly upon entering, I never have to speak with them other than signing in. Machines are always available although some days are really busy. Most everyone is courteous to wipe machines down after use and there are plenty of stations with paper towels and cleaning solution. The locker room area is nice and clean as is the restroom. I only wish they had a sauna.

A LITTLE ON THE SHADY SIDE. Honestly Planet Fitness is a great deal at ten bucks a month, but occasionally Ill get charged 20 bucks for no apparent reason. Nobody ever told me that Id get charged extra at any sort of intervals, and I havent talked to them yet, but I think its a shady business practice. The gym is nice though. There are usually machines open when I go, and its always open which is also nice for the random night time runs.

This year I have had the opportunity to travel all over the United States in our 5th wheel. THANK YOU PLANET FITNESS!!! I have been able to find a Planet Fitness in almost every location we have traveled. I have been able to stay healthy and feel good! Everyone has been beyond friendly! If you travel and want to stay healthy and feel great, JOIN PLANET FITNESS!!! BEST INVESTMENT YOU WILL EVER MAKE!

Been a member for three years. Love the staff always greeting and acknowledge your leaving. Ive worked for 3 gyms in my past and this by far is the best gym atmosphere of feeling in your own comfort zone. In September I had to suspend my membership because of back surgery, it was done with a doctor note, no questions and reinstated when I was able to return. So glad they opened up so close to my home.

Night staff! Horrible! They dont advise things like a person should. Like if you sign at the first of month or before the bill date you still get charge as if you had member ship for the whole month. Starting to think planet fitness is joke. Its suppose to be gym but the staff look unfit and some out of shape. Pizza day come people are trying to get health make a fruit day or something else!

This location is close by my house and thats the only reason I come to this one. They dont enforce the dress code. People in jeans and half naked. If I wanted this I would just join la fitness again. The staff are half decent but other times I have stood and waited to have a question answered. I even called to see if they would come out to even notice I was standing there.

..very few muscleheads here, but even they seem to mind their own business. Staff are very nice peeps and sincerely want to help and make you feel welcome. Have the black card membership which is $20/month and gets you into any club anywhere and there are over a thousand of them. Dont hesitate to join because you will have a hard time finding a better run gym..

I really enjoy going here, you cant beat the price, the machines are always clean, theres always something available to work out on. I havent taken advantage of the personal training yet, but enjoy the cardio and circuit training options. Staff are friendly and courteous, facilities like the restrooms/showers are clean and in great working order.
