I have been wanting to visit the Cheesecake Factory for quite some time. I have had multiple sources tell me about their experience, and felt like I had to try it out for myself. This is the Cheesecake Factory that is connected to Chandler mall. It is tucked away on the North side of the mall, next to Barnes and Nobles. I was impressed with the style and décor of the restaurant. There was a Tuscan feel, tiled flooring and was very clean. The temperature was great, not too cold and wasn’t hot at all (given the record breaking heat). There were plenty of seating areas. Seating areas included table, booths and the combination of the two. The menu is vast. There is a lot to choose from when it comes to everything, drinks, food and dessert. I decided to play it safe and get the basics; spaghetti and meatballs with red sauce. I had order the green tea for my drink and ended with the red velvet cheesecake option. I’ll break the ice now, I did not enjoy much of anything here. The spaghetti was bland and stale. It had tasted like they let the noodle set in warm water rather than boil them. The outside of the noodles were soft and the inside uncooked. There was very little red sauce, it was like I just had the noodles themselves. The meat was mediocre. No flavor at all. Was sauce they did put on it, ended up as a paste on the meatballs. The sauce was really sweet, like canned tomato sauce. The green tea was served with mint leaves. This is something that I had never had before. It was really strong and killed the taste of the tea, for me. The minty flavor in my mouth my have contributed to some of the reason the food as bland and unenjoyable. However, they kept refilling my tea without letting it get to the bottom. This is after I had removed the mint leaves, of course. Finally, the best part – the cheesecake itself. It was the best part of my visit. It was heavy and rich, like cheesecake should be. It is much taller than traditional cheesecake, so bring someone along to share. I do recommend the red velvet cheesecake if someone were to visit. All in all, I can’t say I would ever go back to the cheesecake factory. If I was to go back, it was be strictly as a dessert stop, as I absolutely enjoyed the cheesecake. I would pass up on any other foods or drinks. Spaghetti and tea are not hard to get wrong. And if it wasn’t made wrong, then I wouldn’t much like to try anything else. 3 stars – Cheesecake is what saved them from a 2 star rating.

Last night I took my wife here for dinner to celebrate her birthday. Upon being sat we waited for over 5 minutes our. Coughing sick server arrived.. I ordered a stone ipa and she left coughing her way to the bar as she was also the bar as she made our waters while coughing. She returned with my beer and a nice hot glass to pour it in.... should have just got the check then.... however we ordered a greek salad. After about 15minutes it arrived ... In a hot bowl.... swimming in salad dressing... literaly a inch at the bottom of the bowl. .. Finally when our server came back to ask "is everything ok? Do u need anything else?" I sent the salad back and she said "I never put dressing on it I get it on the side because the kitchen drowns it." Again should have canceled the remaining dinner... but my wife is expecting and was just too hungry.... She ordered the Chicken Copelatte which was dry smashed flat chicken served with what looked like microwaved unfresh lumpy mashed potatoes.. the server said "I brought u extra sauce because it looked dry." PATHETIC..... I ordered the steak hiachi steak with wasabe mashed potatoes and tempora battered asparagus. Steak came out med. well I ordered med rare. Potatoes again microwaved unfresh and plain not wasabe. Asparagus was battered in ... fish and chip beer batter and was literaly dripping in oil.... Also had a glass or wine that was about a half a glass short... absolutely the worst experience Ive ever had at a cheesecake factory and near the worst Ive had anywhere. All I can hope is something is done to rectify this and hopefully others will either be saved the terrible food and wasted $ 97.00 meal . This ruined our night out and now I must recover with another night out to make up to her for a terrible birthday dinner..

*** EDIT*** I responded to the owners comment to this review. I followed the link within hours of their response and contacted them. I left my name, email, phone number and address, they have made absolutely NO attempt to contact me to rectify the situation. I believe the comment they left was simply to make readers believe they tried to resolve the problem, they have not! ORIGINAL REVIEW: The last THREE times Ive been to this location the food does not quite meet the standards of Cheesecake Factory, however, this last time was the worst. Where to start... well, it took more than 30 minutes just to get our food even though the restaurant was at less than 1/4 capacity. Then, when the food did finally arrive it was awful and I mean AWFUL! A friends lunch, pasta, had sausage that was so burnt it was inedible. My husbands burger was burnt to a crisp, which more resembled that of a hockey puck. Lastly, was my Asian lettuce wraps. The chicken was spongy and chewy. I pulled a piece apart only to discover that it was raw! The manager did not offer his apologies but did offer a different choice entree or cheesecake, to which I did not accept either. I have never vomited my lunch before but I guess theres a first for everything. I can now check eating raw chicken off the bucket list thanks to the Cheesecake Factory in Mesa. I will absolutely not return to this location as there is a much better restaurant in Chandler. Eat here at your own risk. Terrible, terrible food.

My daughter-in-law made a reservation for a birthday dinner, on Tuesday, May 30 for a party of ten. We arrived and once all of the party were present, we were seated. Our table was in the bar area, and it was somewhat noisy and difficult to hold conversation. However, it went downhill from there. The server was accommodating, and tried to do a good job, but I began to feel as though he was reluctant to come to the table. Our order was finally taken, and we waited what seemed to be quite a while. The food started to come out, but only two meals at a time and there seemed to be no order to what meals came to the table. My daughter-in-laws food was the last to arrive, and the rest of us were nearly done. She couldnt even eat it, and said it was one of the worst meals shed had. Granted, the meal was removed from the check, but it was very disappointing to say the least. Based on this visit I would be reluctant to recommend or return to this location. Im not sure who or if there was a manager on duty, but the server apologized several times, but he seemed to be in the "weeds" and not able to offer much help. The restaurant was not very busy, and we arrived at 6:00pm.

2 Stars because the food was ok. We stared our experience coming in at 4:15. We were sat fairly quickly. Arriving to the table, we saw the crime scene left over from the messy people before us. Mentioning the mess to the woman who sat us, she apologized quickly and offered to grab a broom and clean. She never returned. Our waitress was sweet, but almost nonexistent. We had to ask for refills on our water and iced tea, and our food took 40 minutes. The noise level of the restaurant on a Sunday early evening was deafening, which isnt the fault of the establishment. Also, when restaurants offer refills, they should not take the glass from the table to refill because this is a safety hazard. You should always offer to refill with a pitcher if possible, or bring a fresh glass of whatever beverage they are drinking. You wouldnt refill a pint of beer in a used glass. This is even more frustrating when the refill of my tea took 7 minutes, sitting without a beverage. I may be over critical because of my culinary training and education, but common courtesy dictates professional behavior.
