We were at the riverhorse on main with a table of 5. Unfortunately we had James as the server, Having been at the riverhorse on a number of times over the past 2 years this was by far the worst experience we had. Several times we had to ask for service asking for basic thing such as pepper, wine, tooth picks and even silverware to eat our food.... We even asked James if the other tables were paying more than us and thats why they were getting the service we expected.... James answer was they are double the amount you are! But since we are from the UK he must have thought tourist who cares....... The food was the normal high standard that I expect at the riverhorse. The server was pathetic to say the least, he even added the tip on before he brought the bill for 5 people................need I say more pathetic attitude. Im from the UK and arrived some 14 Months ago to take up the Vice President of a local business for the next 5 years. We used the the riverhorse very frequently for customers and suppliers and also for family events however this was my first experience with James and I will think twice before we, our customers, suppliers will ever return. To charge the gratuity of $111 for 5 people with pathetic service, and what can only be classed rudeness speaks volumes! my wife even spoke to the matradee who said we should have complained earlier...................(he did nothing) This only highlights how the mighty have fallen. My advise in future go to Talisker across the road or Ruth Chris its a steakhouse but the service is the same every time without fail and the food is excellent. I have given 2 stars as the food was excellent.

I went there for a romantic evening with my girlfriend in Park City during spring break. Food was expensive, but well worth it. Dinner, beer, desert was more than a $100.00. I had lamb and she had the lobster. It was my very first time eating lamb and I was very impressed. Great presentation of the food and a good amount of it to let you be perfectly full, but not overly bloated. For desert, we had an apple cake with vanilla ice cream.I knew it was an expensive restaurant, but I felt like we overdressed for it. Most people had a casual, long sleeve shirt or sweater and jeans. On the other hand, I wore dress pants and she wore a really nice dress and heels. Im only 21 and felt a little out of place, but it wasnt too bad. I wouldve expected our server to give us a cold shoulder because of our young age, but the server was really nice and my drinks were refilled promptly. My only complaint was that it was really loud and crowded on a Monday, I would suggest making your reservations ASAP. There was also a live singer in the room. Regardless of the noise, I had a great time there and will be back if I ever venture back to Park City.

4 couples went to dinner February 2012. 4 ordered filet -- each and every one was so badly overcooked they were not salvagable. 2 of the steaks were surf/turf and the lobster was severely overcooked. Two gentelmen ordered Foie gras and it was undercooked and cold. Several items were sent back from our table, something I have never been involved with before. Worst of all, only at the end of the night did the manager speak with us and then he was defensive and would not admit any problems existed. I cannot say enough bad things about the food that was served. Finally, martinis were ordered and were served in 4 ounce glasses but contained less than 1.5 oz of liquid. $13 each and absolutely unacceptable. I have never written a review that is this unfavorable, but this place deserves it. VERY OVERPRICED, and this food was unacceptable at any price. Go somewhere else!!!

Execution is above average with friendly staff though salt is not consistently applied often being over salted (does the chef smoke?). Menu is tasty though. Main dining room was very warm on a spring day. Wine list below average for the both quality of food the serve and the prices hey charge for bottles (about 4X retail which is outrageous given they dont seem to even have a temp controlled wine cellar the Red the we were served was probably pushing 70-72 degrees F. Nice cocktail list though. A little effort could move this to a 5 star destination. Not wheelchair friendly with two flights of stairs to dining area. Parking a couple blocks away (with hill walking like much of Park City).

We loved our experience tonight at Riverhorse. We celebrated our anniversary as well as our birthdays and our server was so kind to remember and pay interest in our lives. The food was the best weve ever tried and was definately worth the price. Our server, Luis was knowledgeable about the dishes, quick to refill beverages and so kind as to bring us a complimentary dessert at the end of our meal. The manager checked on us twice and was friendly, and did things like refill our drinks and clear the table. The restrooms were very tidy and clean. We will definately be going back. Only good things to say.

Was awesome last time we were in town a year ago. But as the hostess and waitress said, "things are changing". Granted nothing was gross or inedible, but not the cuisine quality for the price paid. Brought out a Wagyu sampler. Nobody in our party could chew it and the flavor was lacking. They brought out some more...same poor cut of meat and quality. Was hoping for a lot more. We moved on after $150 of appetizers to another restaurant....scared to see how much had CHANGED with the entrees. Too bad. We liked this place and were hoping for a good return.

Excellent food and bus/waiter service that might as well have been just for us. He was there every minute (busboy deserves equal credit). Blood orange Martini to begin was delicious. A very heavy fish menu the halibut was the recommendation and was very good. The sea bass was the true treat, a ginger purée that I have never tasted anything so unique. While the macaroons were beautiful they were more cookie like. The molten chocolate cake was perfectly cooked, one of the best I have had. Well worth the visit and the atmosphere was very relaxing

The food was good but I think a tad overpriced. The menu seemed to be too full of seafood for my taste. The room was gorgeous but a bit on the noisy side--They didnt help by having live music which got really annoying when the singer went for the high notes. I just didnt see the need for someone singing assorted cover songs--It distracted from the meal in a big way, Make sure when you reserve to ask for a table away from the musician--our original table was right in from of the musicians....

GREAT SERVICE. Our waiter was excellent. Has a super weird bar thats not really a bar but more of a library where you can stare at things in silence while drinking a beverage that was brought to you from somewhere else. I know this is the "zion curtain" but they could have done a lot more especially too ease the awkwardness while you wait. Once youre seated though the place is really great. The food was good but I expect better for the price and the patio was really nice to sit out on.
