Today was my first visit to Panera Bread and I had the worse experience. My employer gave me a gift card to the location in Mesa so I was excited because Ive heard great things about this place. The man at the register was not attentive and everything I was ordering he and and women who came up from the back said they were out. Then when I finally figured out what I wanted to order I handed him the card and he gave me a very rude look and looked at what I was handing him. Im not sure if my appearance is what made them give me that kind of customer service or what but I just left. I traveled from The west side of Mesa to come try out this place and never will I return.

This was probably one of the worst experiences Ive had with Paradise bakery I understand that it is now Panera bread. It took 25 minutes to get a salad. The drink that I got was supposed to be Dr Pepper and it tasted like plastic I dont know if its a new machine or what but it was terrible and not worth the money, the cookie I paid 1.25 for was so small! Theyre normally a good size and this was just pathetic. Literally was smaller than the palm of my hand. It made me even more frustrated. The workers all looked frantic, running around in a panic trying to keep up. Not a calm or welcoming atmosphere and overall felt unorganized.

This establishment was far superior as a Paradise Bakery. Mega-corporate Panera Trash Bread took hold of the local classic and laid utter waste to it. Nothing but bland and cheap-tasting food. The only compliment I could possibly muster would be towards their fantastic staff. Despite their enormous restaurant floor, I often find myself unable to find anywhere to rest and partake of the garbage they call food. That effectively hands me the exit key: saying, "here, eat our repellent food outside, with the birds". Id suggest any innocent soul to visit the Valleys local Wildflower Bread Company right across the street!

I had the breakfast sandwich....turkey sausage, egg white, with spinach. The taste of the sandwich was delicious and service was great. The bread they used for the sandwich was very tough and each time I took a bite all the insides of the sandwich would squeeze out. I was not given an option as to what type of bread I wanted for the sandwich...maybe it is not an option. It was a whole wheat type of bread with oats on top. Cutting it with regular butter knife was a challenge.

Really sucks they changed this location to Panera. Panera sucks it was always a down scale verison of Paradise Bakery. Panera said it would keep its Paradise Bakery locations and not change the menu since Arizonians knew and loved Paradise Bakery... and what did they do?! Changed the menu... sure they kept a few things, but ruined them. Chicken Walnut was always a favorite... now?! Ruined! Fire Roasted Tomato Soup.... RUINEDDDDDD! Thanks Panera... for ruining Paradise Bakery...

I enjoyed my visit to Paradise Bakery & Cafe. The best thing on the menu, by far, is the bread bowl french onion soup. It is delicious, filling, and perfect for an Arizona winter evening. One thing that has disappointed me is that many times when I stop to get bagels, they are out of the Cinnamon Crunch bagel, which is amazing. The people are friendly and helpful and I would recommend this place to friends, especially for a place to have a lunch meeting or lunch date.

This was a Paradise Bakery, bought recently by Panera. Its OK but Ive never liked the closed up environment. Everything is walled in. Also, at this location the people are more interested in what they are doing than waiting on the customers. They wont even recognize your presence until they finish their task. Just saying, "be with you in a minute," or even eye contact would help take the edge off. Theres a Wildflower just across the street.

Is this supposed to be a restaurant? Its more like an internet cafe. My family and I walked in around lunch time and nearly half of all seats were taken up by people using laptops and then to top it all of those inconsiderate "students" are using the tables that seat 4+ while my family of four is forced to sit in individual tables. What is that crap!?!

I travel out east very frequently and have come to love Panera! That being said I didnt feel the sand which I ordered, frontega chicken, was nearly as good as the frontega chicken out in Virginia! Must be due to the fact that this is a new location and the employees are still learning the ropes. Wasnt cooked long enough and was too dry.

Order takeout from the kiosk. Had a hard time figuring out how to order three of the same thing but once I saw the duplicate button all was well. Unbelievable how quickly the order was ready. Had to have been 5 minutes or less and there were three people in front of me. This was an order for somebody else as Im not a big fan of the food.

What a shame since this has become Panera everything has gotten worse. I thought at least they couldnt ruin the cookies so I gave them another chance. Well the cookies are laughable. As flat as cardboard and overbaked. Its too bad I will not be back, the muffins werent even fresh.

Love coming to this location. I usually use the kiosks so I cant say too much about the customer service except that theyre never been rude to me specifically. But I love the food here. And free wifi is also a nice perk. I love the little orange lights and overall decor.

Melted cheese in turkey carnberrey flatbread scaled my sons mouth and throat when it all ran into the first bite. None if our favorites were made to the quality we expect from Panera. It will be a long time before we come back. Even pastries and bread were cold and stale

I loved this place when it was Paradise Bakery. Ever since they changed their food and customer service has gone down the drain. I loved the fire roasted tomato soup but now it just taste watery and dull. To top it off they never seem to get our orders right.

Was better as a Paradise Bakery, no question. They cut out about 1/2 of the menu when Panera took over. Fantastic bakery still. Chocolate chip cookies are thankfully the same as when it was Paradise. Worth stopping in just for those bad boys.

Really quick service. You can even order from machines, and grab a drink right from the cash register. Love coming here for meetings, because of the free WiFi, plus its usually pretty nice and quiet there when its not too busy.

This Panera has a lot of seating. I really like the outdoor cafe with fountain! I love their coconut chocolate chip cookies but, they are not on the kiosk. I love their salads and soup bread bowls!

I work just down the road from here so I always order from the app and pick it up. I have never had a problem. They have always had my order ready and waiting for me when I arrive. Great food too.

Large meeting room in the back. They have self serve kiosks or order at your table online if you want to skip the line. Food is usually good but getting expensive over time.
