Be very careful, I was charged $600. for training that I knew nothing about. I was told I was getting 4 lessons in one month, the guy took my card saying he was charging it for one month for me and one month for my wife which totaled $320. then he told me to down load this app and charged me another $20. per person, handed me two receipt for $160. ea. The app that was up loaded was never used even though I was told it would be for the trainers use. The guy never showed me what he was typing. When he took my card for the two charges of $160. he had me sign for the purchases in reality he had me sign a contract for 3 months of training at $320. per month. 30 days later I saw a withdraw from my account for $320. and it put me in the negative. When I went in to address the issue I was handed a contract that I had never seen and had never been told about, and the lady I was dealing with actually laugh that I was going to be charged a third time. Trainers, myself and my wife got sick a time or two and the training sessions were supposed re-scheduled and I was charged for the ones when the trainers were sick but I was told that those sessions would be re-scheduled, but never were. As I said, be very careful with the location at 1515 E Bethany Home. I am only asking for the last charged of $320. to be returned because I nor my wife never received the training sessions, nor were they authorized to debit my account. Its odd that they have no number to call so that a member came speak to some one higher up. They gave me a website but it only lead back to them!

I received a flyer in the mail stating start up fees were $7 with no monthly contract and $10 a month thereafter. I thought wow that is really great. I joined because it was cheaper than everywhere else but they are liars!!! It was $27 to join and you have to do auto withdrawal from your bank account. There is also a $25 fee if you quit. You do have to sign this long contract so they can take the money out of your account and they wont even give you a copy. They send it to your email and you have to copy yourself and so far, I have not received a copy in my email. The staff did not know anything as they are young kids with no manager on site. This was the facility at Greenway & Tatum in phoenix, AZ. I was told on the phone by Mike that there were classes two days a week and when I got there, no one know anything about it. The computer was not working and the young gal did not know how to fix it. Yak!!! Do not have to worrry about the service as there is none. To end the membership it must be in writing. The good thing is that it is not real crowded (go figure) and there is a large choice of various machines to work out on and the hours are very good. Seems like a place where you probably would have to close your bank account to get rid of them. I did not give them my main account just in case.

I was excited to have a gym right around the corner that wasnt the typical LA Fitness or other health club that pushes personal training onto their members. Also a major reason I joined was because the sales agent told me this would be a month to month contract and for only $19.99 a month, what a deal! Well, another sour taste in my mouth has occured with another gym which lied about the contract. YouFit has told me in order to cancell my membership, I am going to owe $39.99. This is completely ridiculous that no one can help me with this cancellation fee. I tried calling the club and of course no one is available to help me except the receptionist and of course this person wouldnt be able to help me get around this fee. What ever happened to customer service? Dont business believe in repeat customers? Just because I need to cancel now doesnt mean there wouldnt be another opportunity for me to join another time, but with how I have been treated, you can bet I will never refer a friend or pay YouFit another dime. This is absolutley fraud and I wouldnt recommend anyone pay for a membership at this gym. DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE!!!! STAY AWAY FROM YOUFIT!!!!

I will mention the good things about the Youfit located at 16th and Bethany Home first. The gym equipment is clean and in good working order and there is also a wide range of equipment to use. The hours of operations are accommodating to my schedule. Lastly, the price is affordable for individuals that live paycheck to paycheck, like myself. Now for the the reason why i gave this gym 3 stars. First, the staff is not knowledgeable concerning (elliptical/stair climber) equipment and stated a third party vendor addresses the issues of the equipment. The water from the fountain is tap water and rarely gives cold tap water.... YUCK!! There is no place to put my water bottle or towel while I work out so I am forced to place these items on the floor of the the gym. This causes me a lot of aggravation. This is not a bad gym for someone on a budget, but hopefully this will make you aware of what this affordable gym accommodations are before agreeing to join.

Decent gym for the money. $10 a month plus a $39 fee 60 or 90 days after your membership starts. Still not that bad. The price goes up $5 after a year, so it becomes $15 a month. Still, not that bad considering the equipment. So, why the two stars? You CANT bring in a JUMP ROPE! Yep, thats right. NO JUMP ROPE. Liability reasons....hmmm. People, were at the gym throwing around dumbbells and 45 lb. plates and they are worried about a jump rope. This gym has ample space in numerous parts of the gym to jump rope. The customer service women kindly suggested that I go outside on the sidewalk and jump rope. Really??? Tons of people walk through the area to go to other stores and that doesnt concern them? Stupid policies and an absolute joke. I quit my membership because of this policy. Very dissatisfied. Oh ya, I almost forgot. That also removed the bosu balls for liability reasons. Whats next?

The whole gym is fairly nice in the morning and I do not take notice of anybody really when I am training. I keep seeing people complaining of getting negatively looked at by the staff or people and I rarely see this. Most people here keep to themselves really. My only complaint is why does the gym only have one squat rack and 5 smith machines. I only have four places to dead lift and I dislike having to use only one squat rack to do my exercise. At least one or two of those smith machines should be replaced with squat racks. Even if nobody in that gym ever does legs which is depressing. Put more Squat racks. The smith machine in the corner should be replaced. I highly doubt exercising without activating your nervous system to do basic natural movements is good. There should be smith machines for the beginner but we also need to do squats/OHP/bridges/deadlifts without assistance.
