We attempted multiple times to contact the resort to set up a date and time to view the wedding venue. After multiple emails and called we finally reached the gentleman. Not only did he introduce himself, but he sounded completely wasted. As we continued to speak about scheduling an appointment, he mentioned to us he locked himself out of his office and suggested we call back at a later time. We asked if they were available in the mornings or afternoons and he proceeded to slur that he doesnt "do" mornings or evenings and quickly ended the conversation. With such unprofessionalism we decided not to call this vendor back, however the same gentleman gave US a call back 3 days later and had absolutely no clue we had already spoken. We gave him another chance, scheduled our appointment well over a month in advance as we live very far away. Today, Rita the gentlemans boss, called us to cancel because they had other reservations and had failed to schedule us in properly. VERY disappointed. I wish we had followed the advice of all of the other bad reviews and avoided our wasted time. Its truly a shame such a lovely place is ran by such irresponsible and unprofessional people.

This review is for the gym portion of the resort. Nearly all the women at the front desk are rude and display terrible customer service. Ive been a member for a few months now and not one of the younger girls has ever aknowledged me when I walk in. They simply type in my membership number and proceed to talk to their coworker. No smile. No have a nice day. The blonde girl gives me the stink eye every time I walk in. The males are much friendlier and at least look me in the eye and say have a nice night when I leave. The morning classes (specifically combat) are extremely packed so be prepared for that. The instructors are awesome though. They are so friendly and even acknowledge you during class to tell you youre doing great. If I could rate the instructors alone, Id give them 5 stars. Unfortunately, I only gave this resort one star due to the rude front staff. Even some of the women at the day care are lifeless. No smile or anything. Your front desk people are the face or your resort and the first people you see when entering. If they look miserable then why would anyone even want to walk into your business? Either have a talk with your employees or hire better people.

We went to my wifes cousins wedding at La Mariposa back in May and it was phenomenal. The ceremony was outside under these gorgeous canopy trees and a charming gazebo, set in the middle of this lush green field. It was like having the ceremony in some private meadow of a fairy tale story. It was a little warm, because its Tucson in May, but the visual was stunning. The reception was outside as well, but the sun had long gone down and the warmth of the cafe lights and fire pit truly brought the ambiance to life. The food was great, Ive got four kids and there wasnt a scrap to be seen among the lot. Dancing was inside under an enormous skylight that once again brought a wonderful balance of elegance and openness to the entire night. The staff were friendly and professional, so no complaints there. We had a wonderful time and have nothing but rave reviews for the place.

I had my wedding here on June 11th and everything was perfect! Steve and Francesca were great! The servers were so wonderful and attentive. It was also very convenient to have vendors available for decor, cakes and music that knew the venue and were so seasoned! The food they served was so delicious and there was plenty of it for the buffet. The day of the wedding couldt have turned out more beautiful and more fun. If you are looking for a hidden gem in the desert (where you can forget you are in a desert) I HIGHLY recommend La Mariposa :) Thanks Steve and Cesca!!

What a great experience we had last March for a wedding. It was an extremely rainy day, never letting up, so the wedding had to be moved inside. The Manager was very gracious and accommodating. The food was excellent, as was the service. We were able to capture a quick formal photo shoot with the bride and groom at sunset, under a spontaneous double rainbow. It was a magical day. Absolutely phenomenal! I have been coming to La Mariposa for 3 years. All the staff is friendly and Ive became acquainted with all of them. I dont know about the poor review below. I clicked on the one star reviewer, and they rated 9 other places one star. Just shows when people have nothing better to do. Also, the people that go to this gym are friendly. Its a great place overall!

La Mariposa es a wonderful place to have any event, including my charitable galas! Steve and Francesca are absolutely amazing people who go above and beyond expectations. Food is delicious, the staff are friendly and professional. Cant wait to have my next event there! Also, looking forward to bringing my daugther to the swim team, I heard it is fantastic!!

Staff is incredible! The grounds are beautiful and the place is kept very clean. The owners are very kind and respectful. Had my wedding here and could not believe how incredible the service was. Rita is a great wedding planner! Words cant describe what a happy customer I am!
