Twice as expensive as every other gym in town, fees and policies that they dont verbally disclose when you sign up. Then when you go to cancel, they smuggly point out the fine print on the membership policy and inform you, you will have to pay a ridiculous amount of money to cancel, or you can find some other sucker and pass along the hassle of membership to them for a small fee of 75.00! Want to use your credit card to pay membership because you earn points using it? They got a fee for that! Credit card canceled due to identity theft and they try to charge it? They got a fee for that! Want to use just the downtown facility to save money? No problem, they will charge you $10 less than if you were to use both facilities, then with the $5 credit card processing fee youre paying just $5 less than if you had access to both gyms! This gym acts like every other large corporation and bank in America, sucking the money out of honest hard working peoples pockets simply cause they create the legal environment so they can, nevermind whether it is right. I am going to happily go back to my old gym when my membership expires next month! There I will pay half the price, with no ridiculous initiation fees, no credit card processing fees, and NO HASSLE! Why people go here is beyond me, I can only assume it is a status thing...

If, as the Ridge TV ad says, “Bozeman is a magnet for quality”, the Ridge really misses the mark. Safety, hygiene, and maintenance are lacking bigtime. In the locker room expect: used wet towels on the floor and benches; grungy, gray, frayed towels that you wouldn’t use on your dog; wet slippery floors in the restrooms; broken and empty soap dispensers; broken shower fixtures; cramped lockers made worse by cramped changing areas. In the pool area expect: no staff supervision of kids; kids in the "therapy" pool (kids jumping on you, toys being thrown, cannonballs, swim races; kids in the hot tub; babies in swim diapers in the warm therapy pool (ick!). If you ask for staff to intervene, they tell you to address it with the offending members yourself or they tell you that the kids have a right to be in the therapy pool. Management is the problem, pure & simple. The potential fixes would be easy to do (example: no kids in the therapy pool, towel bins in the locker rooms, staff walk-throughs for cleanliness checks, etc.). Its too bad because the facility, other than the pool area and the locker rooms is decent.

I was a member of the Ridge Downtown for several years. I found it to be a mediocre venue in all ways. In January of 2011, I quit my membership by going through and signing the paperwork at the front desk. I was told that I was "all set", but no receipt was offered. The Ridge continued to charge me every month through an Autopay feature that I had set up. In Oct. of 2011, I finally caught it on a statement in October. It took me that long because the charge would draft on my statement as " Gallatin Valley", not the Ridge Club or Bozeman Ridge, or a name that would associate the charge with the actual vendor. There are over 100 business in the Bozeman area that start with the words "Gallatin Valley". I contacted the Ridges business office over this and just got the ultimate runaround. After 4 times of calling the business office and being told that my case for a refund would be looked into and Id be receiving a call back, which never happened, I have given up. Given this experience, I would say that the Ridge has among the worst customer service that I have experienced. I do not recommend this gym at all.

Awful, awful, awful gym! Be aware of the policies/fees that are in the contract you are signing! I cancelled my membership via email (like they told me to) and they never got back to me. I settled up my bill and thought I was all set then I get another bill from them and so I call explaining I havent been in for 3 months and I wont be paying the bill ($50). They send me another email stating I need to clear my balance before they can cancel.. what?!! I cancelled a month ago like you told me to and settled out my bill and you never responded back to me! I will NEVER be going back to this gym. This is a joke and this business is going to fail if they dont start working on their customer service. So upset.

My family and I really like being members of this place. Weve only been members for a few months, but the staff has been very welcoming. The environment is family friendly, and most of the members are too (which is rare). The price is a little steep for the Gallatin Valley I think, but its hard to put a price on a clean pool for young kids in a town that so ski-centric (were not skiers). Also, the trainers are great. Not condescending or ridiculous. They really helped us out in setting up manageable and attainable fitness plans that were based on our goals.

Great staff, family friendly, and super helpful. Im not sure what the other reviewers were complaining about with the locks, as they offer both locks or you can bring your own lock for the day. They are also one of the few places in town that have Racquetball and basketball courts as well as Circuit training and a pool. Not to mention on-site child care. Every time Ive approached a staff member about something that might not be not up to par, they have usually resolved it within a reasonable amount of time.

Ive been a member for many years and it has been getting so crowded. As the club ads more members they hardly ad more classes or extended business hours. Ive seen staff walk through the bathroom and check themselves in the mirror then leave neglecting empty papertowel dispensers, overflowing trash and garbage on the ground. I still like to go here because they do have everything and a beautiful view upstairs but need to expand with the number of members.

The 1 star negative reviews of this gym are the most accurate. Their lifting equipment is average, cleanliness is well below average, everyone is stuck up, its overcrowded, and WAY too expensive in every aspect. The status thing is nonexistent now because there is now clear choices to make over the Ridge. This isnt an opinion, this is just the facts.

Ive only used the Fallon facility. Im happy with the equipment, the trainers, and the other members. When Ive asked other members for a spot theyve always been happy to say yes. My biggest complaint is the wifi is far too limited to allow streaming video. Being able to watch what I want on demand would sure make that cardio time a lot better.

If it werent the only place to go in bozeman that i could play basketball at i would not be a member. ... even at that the court isnt the best ... the child care closes to early. .. the gym period closes to early. .. no accommodation to alternate lifestyle ... example the gym hours. .. other gym members are extremely intitled and rude. ..

Lots of great machines and classes, but uber snotty and stuck-up, even the staff barely cover up their feelings of superiority. I think the majority of people working out when Ive been there have spent at least as much on their workout wardrobe as I do on my car payment. Too posh for this girl, definitely BozAngeles and not Montucky....
