As one approaches the sleepy sun-beaten main street in Las Cruces, NM, there is the beat of a strong pulse. Follow this beat of life inside, your life, and enter. Here we are one: we are focused, centered, and mindful of our practice. We are greeted by air moistened with fragrant oils, the wall prints of tranquil dragonflies and lotus petals calm our strongest poses, while the floor--our mother, both rich and warm--supports us as we melt into our shavasana. We leave, revived: Downtown Desert Yoga, our life-giving well in the heart of the desert.

As pf 2/2/14 Google Maps erroneously reports this place as permanently closed, and it gives the wrong location. Oddly, it lists the location as 126 South Main St, but it shows the marker on the map as being at 303 South Alameda Blvd, Las Cruces, NM. The studio moved from Main St. to Alameda. It is still open for business. The new location is a much nicer building. They still have the same great teachers.

The teachers are friendly and very knowledgeable. The studio is warm and welcoming. The classes are all invigorating. Its the best part of my day when I make it to any class.
