I am an athlete and I still get nasty looks from clientele here. Front desk is not very welcoming. They always seem preoccupied. Facilities need some serious updating and building management. Ceiling tiles are stained from leaks and machine sit way too close together. Personal trainers are kind, but need more freedom in their design. Families are not welcomed as there is no place for kids older than 7 to be comfortable or work out. High amounts of revenue come from families! Sales tactics are the worst! Even though Chris is a great guy, the company pushes so hard for their sales that people do not feel its an organic decision which directly makes a negative impact. Do the research; Pushy sales and locking people into contracts is not the most revenue producing for this industry! Hire some innovative and educated management to increase revenue exponentially with a team model. Genesis could be great with some attention! Go deep, not lean.

I just went to a "deep water " workout class at 5:45 Monday, July 3rd. I understand this was the 1st time for this class. A little background about myself, Im a Zumba instructor and weighted hula hoop instructor, so I am in pretty good physical shape. Have some old knee injuries , so was interested in a water class. My friends mother just started a new class at Genesis, so I thought I would give it a try. I was not disappointed, what a workout. You think your in shape and along comes a class that is challenging, yet easy on the joints.. I felt it in my abdominals, legs, arms and it was a total body workout. Would highly recommend this class.

Andrew Held and his team of trainers do a great job engaging club members in their personal fitness journey. Some gyms are only focused on signing up endless numbers of members with the hopes that they will pay dues and rarely frequent their establishments. Not Genesis! The training staff and fitness instructors work hard to engage members and help them achieve fitness goals... And keep them active and coming back! Even with this goal of maintaining high levels of utilization, I have never had to wait for a piece of equipment or fight for weights (unlike past experiences at other gyms.)

I never got the training that they said that I will receive for being a member of Genesis Club their trainers want you to work on their schedule time your schedule does not matter the product they sale keep changing with different companies so once you start taking them you cannot continue to take the same product they keep changing companies with different vendors. Unhappy member you supposed to give a 5-star but in order to write something you have to give a star I want to considered Genesis Club to be zero inadequate with reality .

My experience with the club has been wonderful. Everyon has been pretty helpful. Working with Travis as my personal trainer has been the best. Ive learned quite a bit not only about programming and the basics to getting fit but Ive also learned quite a bit about myself and what I am capable of doing. My only complaint is not everything seems to be working (treadmills specifically) however even on crowded days it doesnt create much of a burden.

So I have been a member of Genesis for 22 years. Yes 42$ a month for 22 years. They have the audacity to charge me $1 for an empty cup and then none of the TVs work which are actually part of the membership. Then they say that theyll be worked on in a couple of days. They have been half working for a year. Feed someone else that line of..... its time for them to compensate us for the constant headache.

Staff are horrible. They never smile, flirt with all of the men there. But it isnt just the register, it extends far beyond them. You see, every employee there is a stuck-up, arrogant, disrespectful, and they only care about your money. I have no doubt that every positive review is from a wealthy family. If you are reading a review to decide if you want to pay for a membership, here you go.

There are a lot of things to complain about at each Genesis location (broken machines, lack of towels, a million staff members and none willing to help/greet you), but I will say that the Group Ride classes here are the absolute best. Each instructor is fantastic.

I took a 24 package training session and after i paid it all which is 1200 dollars. The trainer stopped replying back tried to cantact him and there was no responce. Now they say that there is no refund to the money i paid.

Horrible customer service everytime I go in there. No one ever smiles. Its as tho people hate being there. Ive had staff be rude to me at the desk and on the phone. Counting down the days till I can cancel this place!

Everything was great until I couldnt afford my membership then I wanted out. GENESIS HEALTH CLUB sued me for $700 after I couldnt afford the membership fee.

Club is a health hazzard. Poor customer service. Their only intrest is selling pricy memberships. New manager at scorra doesnt have a clue how to run a gym.
