BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE OF SHAWN AND RUN This gym will 1) take your money. Probably all gyms do but this one will 100% take money from your account without warning and double dip into it if you pay in advance and they will have the nerve to say you still owe them money after you may pay for 4 months in advance. 2) Turn you into a sissy and you have to deal with them people like Shawn. Shawn is a rediculous human. My advice is to totally avoid Planet Fitness altogether. 24 Hr fitness is only 10 bucks more per month and thats it. With better equipment and more locations. I never ever had any experiences with these weird staff members at any gym than this just taking your money and than revoking your 12 mo the agreement. Ill be reporting this gym to the BBB and filing a claim for the way they are scamming people out of their money. And Shawn, Jessica, antonio, and Erick are some real embiciles

2 years after I cancel my membership, I get a phone call stating I have a past due balance.. call gym in bellflower spoke to the rude employee name crystal wish transfer me to the manager name Donald told me this has never happened, obviously it has!!!! seen several reviews about same thing, coincidence I dont think so.. something happened to there computer system or else this would not happen 2 years later.. He end up telling me he will contact the district manager Jesse and call me back within 4 days.. ask if I could get Jesses phone number in case I didnt get a call back..He gave me a google number with voice mail of Jesse Vargas, I left several messages, but no response from Donald manager bellflower gym or His superior Jesse Vargas, very frustrating... what a poor way to run a business very unprofessional and no sense of care...will continue to call till my issue resolved

24 hour fitness never duplicated my bank account like Planet Fitness has. I signed up in April and they have been debiting duplicate charges of $19.99 every month and they do not know what to do. LOL. you call them to correct it and they play crazy like they dont know whats going on. October 2nd my account wasnt duplicated this time, it was just one charge of $39.00 lol. At first they tried to get me off the phone by telling me its the yearly fee. But I paid that on 6/2/2014. Transfers me to the "BILLING DEPT" and they cant even see what transactions they take out. Be careful providing your bank account info. I am just going to go get a pre-paid card just for them. I am paying 24 hour fitness prices I might as well go back as Planet fitness are making their own charges.

Cool spot to get a workout. It does get crowded at night. Plenty of parking. I like is that its open 24/7. They have alot of weight machines, dumbbells, and cardio machines. During the weekends its really empty. I wish the shower area would be cleaned more and shower curtains replaced more often. I never had any issues with staff and when I cancelled my membership I was not given a hard time. When ever I wanted to make changes to my account there was never an issue. Very friendly staff. No bench press, so you have to use smith machines to bench press and squat. Only reason I left is because the YMCA was much closer to my house (less than 1 mile). Lunk alarm is NOT that serious/annoying! This gym is great for beginners! Price is low!

Ive been coming to the gym several times a week and never had an issue with cleanliness, machines, members, staff, etc. There ARE peak times ofcourse, but its logical everywhere. Idk why ppl complain thats its busy. Try changing the time u go. Ive been in at busy times, and members are turning over equipment quick enough. So I dont have a wait time to use equipment. But I rather go in 6-7am and 9-11pm. Slower times. My prefference. The only thing I would like to see more of are trainers on the floor offering help or advice. There are some machines Id still like to use, but dont know how, & dont wanna look stupid figuring it out myself. Twice ive asked another member how to use a machine. But I still love the place

Good place for beginners, but once you start getting serious they start turning the lunk alarm on you. Was warned for slamming the dumbbells after my sets which is sometimes unavoidable when youre doing heavy weights. On the set after that I tried to put them down slowly to avoid slamming them and I ended up injuring my wrist cause of the heavy weight. If you want to do cardio its good, but nothing serious for someone who wants to lift heavy. They only have smith machines so forget about doing bench press, deadlifts, and squats cause the smith machine is no good for those. Their whole lunk alarm, pizza and bagel days is ridiculous for a gym. Moved on to a better gym.

I go, work out and leave. Theres always an available bike or treadmill. The lunk alarm is unnecessary and goes off even when they lightly put the weights down and I honestly dont believe it should exist especially since we all pretty much walk around in our own little worlds. The locker room is pretty clean however they definitely need paper products so we can wipe off the counters. Ive seen bad reviews about this location but obviously havent had the same experience. Id recommend for newbies, cardio lovers and ppl like me that generally enjoy a simple workout.

As far as good workout place i dont know. But for employment they suck i went to interview i told they i was only available for 1 shift and thats it . she told me its ok and she will mark it down so they can be aware . they i had to go again the next day for 2nd interview i told the area manager and i believe the owner the same thing and they hired me on spot by the way i missed my other job this 2 days . after im hired she says she needs me for another shift and i did not go so they i got fired and they didnt even bother me telling me anything.

June 2017 - Terrible... the guy at the front desk was rude. Curly hair in ponytail. I walked in to see what i needed to join and the first thing i was greeted with was with no i cannot join and they have all these rules which he gave me flyers that said nothing on what he was saying. All the members facing the door working out looked miserable. Prob looking at me to walk out and not make the same mistake. I walked out bummed and glad i didnt join a rude staff group.

After seeing the billboard, for $10.00 a month, I went in to join and it was ALSO $20.00 start up fee and $29.00 annual fee. No where does it say that on the billboard, even in fine print. So I left :(.. The staff were very nice, but unfortunately appears to be a bait and switch so Im a little hesitant of what else may happen. I guess Ill need to wait a little longer.

The workers may have there one in a million good worker but they are way to emotional. Male or female, they straight up need an attitude adjustment. The payment plan is a straight up lie too ! Not just $1 down. Or just $10 to $20 a month. Please, if you have the money and a good source of transportation use another gym.
