My first experience there made me feel like I was bothering the dude behind the counter. Not once did he smile nor did he greet. He just sort of raised his eyebrows as in "what do you want?" I mean what the hell kind of customer service is that? The whole time he was servicing me he did not smile once. Customer service goes a long, long way. A simple smile goes a long way as well. Many people will understand and many will think Im just whining, but the outlook on that place seemed dark after the experience with the rep. This does not apply to all staff. Only to the gentleman I met behind the counter and I cannot recall his name, but anyway, just goes to show what first impressions can do. Heard a lot of good stuff about the place, though. Family members have lost a lot of weight coming here! Nice equipment though :)

I started coming to this place when it first opened and it was pretty good staff was friendly & helpful, the gym was clean, & the equipment was working fine. Unfortunately this particular planet fitness started going downhill (my personal feeling) the gym started getting dirty with paper towels all over the floor & on the cardio machines, the staff stopped being friendly & developed a nasty attitude, & almost every day I went the main equipment I would use were either broken or getting fixed. After all these things started piling on I ended up canceling my membership because I wasnt paying $20 a month for broken equipment, a dirty gym, & a bunch of employees with an attitude problem.

Ok I been in this Gym for a year and yesterday the Trainner Alex just because he have a new group he started telling people about the red light I know you have to change but if you do it slow the light comes more faster besides the is the first time someone tells the customers something when people are talking in the phone all the time leave bags in the floor , let check the gym at night on fridays around 9 or 10 is a mess but is a relax place but this person honestly I been going to the anothers locations and is up to you continue to do whatever you want to do. And is was hard to buy a shirt when is so easy everybody was so busy

The staff Ashley and Juliet at this location are on point with customer service and hospitality. Theyre the R E A L M.V.Ps Youll notice how they are attentive to every guest who enters. They will greet you with their genuine smiles and they give a welcoming vibe when you enter. They are strong willed to help resolve any issues with their guests to the best of their knowledge. Be like Ashley and Juliet. Five stars for them and this location!

It is a nice place to work out for those of us with odd hours. Pass 10:30 pm is good me. Before that time the place crowded. There is a repectable amount of machines to work with thoug some of them are not in presteem condition. You may hear a squeak here and there. Hey but you cant beat 10 bucks a month plus for an extra 10 you get unlimited water pressure massage and other goods

I think this place deserves four stars this is definitely a place for beginners and a place to get into shape and not body build. The staff is cool but I never asked for help or asked many questions I believe most people work out here should come up with there own fitness plan then ask the staff to be honest. Ive been a member for a couple months mainly for elliptical and some machine/free weights. The cardio machines are always in great condition, especially when compared with past experiences at 24HF. Everything is clean and people actually use the spray/towels to clean gear - another fail at 24HF. Price is right, TV setup is great. I really love this place. Well done, PF.

Very nice first time being there. They have all the equipment I was using at 24 hour fitness. Only thing is around 8 to 11pm you might want to come at a different time because during those times it will be almost full!!! But besides that was able to have a nice workout. The employees there were very nice and respectful towards each other and me.

I go to just get my workout in but dam I find that I dread going because of the staff! Some blonde fat chick in particular that works there, shes always giving me attitude and I always find her giving me dirty looks!! Its so annoying PLANET FITNESS IN SOUTHGATE NEEDS FRIENDLIER STAFF

The place is small and the employees dont take care of it, they are good people but they just dont care about cleaning or maintaining the place in good condition. Only 2 toilets and usually one doesnt work and the other is out of paper ALWAYS. The place isnt very comfortable.

I read some of the yelp reviews plus some here on Google before signing up let me tell that most of the bad reviews are wrong, this is an awesome gym for the price how can you bit 10 dollars a month is very clean plenty of equipment and the front staff are very friendly.

No wifi!!! Im coming from Santa Ana and got spoiled cuz they had wifi... and my fault for thinking this place does too. Horrible. Wifi isnt expensive for a reputable company to provide for its clients. If I could give 0 stars I would. Its 2017... cmon now

The juSt care about how much money can charge you. They will let you know they cant charge you when is late and they punish you with a late fee even when you came the same day you receive the notice. The person working at front desk is sloooowwwwwwww!

I didnt like the place. This was my first and last time am going to it. Things I didnt like about the gym 1) is to small 2) staff is not friendly what so ever 3) people dont clean the machines after there done using it 4) they dont have the hydro chair

Planet fitness is a "do it yourself" kind of gym. If you are familiar with the machines and know how to workout than this is for you...and really you cant beat their prices!! They have all the equipment that high priced gyms do! I ❤ it...

Sometime in the morning when my prewor out kicks in I have to use the toilet, well everytime I go in the restroom there is never any toilet paper :/ so I have to go ask for toilet paper how embarrassing :(
