Simply the worst experience Ive had in my 20 years of using printers. They did not honor any one of five estimates they made in writing, they sent paper samples that were not the quality (weight) they claimed they were, and then various people in the company blamed other people in the company for the myriad of mistakes that were made, including the owner. When I had to have my project redone by another company (they kept their word about EVERYTHING and their quote was so much lower, too) I requested a small refund for all the months I wasted when I had trusted Minuteman Press. This was to offset the additional costs of having my layout person removed Minuteman Press name from the credit I had given them. Minuteman ignored my reasonable offer, so even though they admitted they made countless mistakes, it was ultimately up to me to pay for their ineptitude and unprofessionalism. This is the first time Ive ever posted a negative review about any company -- simply because its the first time I have been treated so horribly by any company. What a nightmare all around -- and its not even a "he said, she said" thing. Minuteman Press owner ADMITTED in writing that they made the mistakes I claimed they did... You would think that after wasting so many months of my life and misrepresenting their written quotes again and again and causing my project to come in past the deadline they could at least have paid me the lousy $150 I asked for. Had they done that, I wouldnt have posted such a review.

On November 2, 2013, my only brother, Robert died. I approached Minuteman Press Fred Fassett, explaining to him t;hat I wanted a funeral program created with pictures that would honor my brothers memory. Fred assigned me to a very competent personnel who with the utmost concern for excellent customer service and compassion worked with me to produce a program that all members of my family were extremely pleased with. Exceptional service, fair prices, quick turn-around. Ive been working with Minuteman in Berkeley for several years and they have never let me down. I mail a monthly newsletter and they both print and mail it for me. Ive never had a problem with any of their work. They give me a proof before printing but it seems quite unnecessary as its always perfect. If I need things in a rush, they deliver.

Minuteman Press did a wonderful printing job on my guitat instruction book, "BLUES TO JAZZ". Their turnaround time was quick and their prices reasonable. They even succeeded in adding an extra red border outside the existing yellow one on the front cover! (A previous printer had told be that was impossible). Their turn-around is so fast that I am often surprised, the quality of the work is excellent, and the knowledgeable staff make doing business there easy and entertaining.
