THESE PEOPLE ARE AWESOME!!!!! (Thank you Matt for all your help!) My fiance and I are from Chandler Arizona, and we decided to take little vacation to California this Labor Day Weekend. Before we left Chandler I went to take me car in to a local mechanic (Im not going to mention the name because I believe this was an isolated incident and I still really like them) for an oil change and to make sure it was ready and safe to make the drive over. On the 3rd day after enjoying ourselves all weekend, we were ready to head home. We got on the 101 and my fiance felt something was a little off with the car but we kept going. We decided to get off and grab something to eat so we got off at the Ventura blvd exit, all of a sudden the steering wheel locked up on the exit and we had to push the car to the side of the rode. We lifted the hood up and it was smoking. The family friend whos house we were staying at, came to us and looked at out car. He noticed that the OIL FILTER WAS GONE. 5 minutes later they drove back in their car towards the house and found the oil filter and a trail of oil on the ground. We called AAA and they towed us to Calabasas Car Car. Since it was Labor Day we had to wait until Tuesday (today) to see what could be done about the car. They were so amazing when I got there they were totally on my side, told me theyd even speak to the people in Chandler and make sure I shouldnt have to pay for anything. Matt, the employee that helped us was so amazing and kind. I definitely recommend everyone come to these guys. Theyre HONEST, they will TAKE CARE OF YOU, and FAIR. They offered to take us to a rental car place too. When the company I went to in AZ finally got another tow truck to pick up our car so their guys could take a look at the car, Matt, one of the employees offered to take us back to the place we were staying. This place in particular is such an amazing establishment 10000/10000 WOULD RECOMMEND!!!

Ive taken my car here a few times only because it was conveniently located close to home/school. Every single time they have made a careless mistake that could result in some serious harm to my car! The last service I had done with them was an oil change and brake pad replacement. Beyond being overcharged, my brakes are still making noise and I found out that they did not use synthetic oil in my car. I drive a newer VW that needs oil changes about every 5k miles - when the correct oil is but in, and synthetic is the only type that should be used on this car. Every time I take my car in, they know what my car needs and I make sure they input the correct oil needed into the system. I found out just a few weeks ago, around 3k miles, that they had put the incorrect oil in my car - meaning it needed an oil change immediately. When I approached Calabasas Car Care with this mistake, they admitted what they did was careless and said "sorry." If I had kept driving my car for two thousand more miles I could have seriously damaged it! The reason why I found out this had happened was because I took my car in to get the "wrench" light turned off since they never reset it after changing my oil the first time. Thats when they told me I needed another oil change, and that is when I decided I would NEVER go back here again!

I took my truck to Calabasas Car Care to have them re-charge my A/C system; it was blowing warm air. After they looked at it, they said they could not re-charge it because I had a leak and that I needed to replace my compressor and 2 other A/C parts. They quoted me $974. plus another $145. to re-charge the system once the new parts were in. It sounded high to me so I looked elsewhere. Yesterday I had another A/C guy look at my truck and after he checked it out, he said that my compressor and the other A/C parts were fine; that all that was needed was to replace a small needle at the freon intake opening. He did this and then re-charged the system and now everything works well. His total charge was $120. I would advise people to avoid Calabasas Car Care; they seem to be very dishonest.

My car started acting up while I was on the freeway. I got off and found Calabasas Car Care right off the freeway. My car died just as I pulled into their lot. They found the problem was my alternator within a few minutes. They replaced the Alternator and did not try to sell me other repairs. I feel very lucky to have found them when I did. I recommend them and will be using them again myself. They were very helpful and charged me a fair price. Besides their fast and excellent repair work I found all their service technicians to be very friendly and helpful. Altogether an excellent experience.

These guys are always there to save the day. Every puncture they patch and at a low cost. My dealership told me I needed new tires because I had a leak, so I went to these guys to buy them (they brought in the right ones at an incredibly reasonable price) and they told me they wouldnt sell me new tires unless I absolutely insisted because I simply didnt need them. They fixed my leak and sent me on my way. Honest isnt a word thrown around a lot in the auto industry, but thats what these guys are. If I had more cars, Id send them more business. I cant recommend them highly enough!

I used to bring my car here a few years ago, the service was always good, and they were honest. They didnt take advantage of me because Im a female. I just moved back to this area and needed new tires. They tried to up-sell me on a bunch of repairs. Theyve changed, they also instituted a policy to put the new tires on your rear wheels instead of your front tires. they had a nice shiny poster showing how the new tires will hydroplane on water or gravel if they are on the front. I dont believe it, the tire manufactures are probably behind it, it goes against previous wisdom.

My girlfriend took her 2008 Honda Accord to get the rear breaks checked. They charged her over $600 to change the rear break pads and rotors and for 2 new tires, the cheappest they had. They charged her nearly $300 in labor for roughly 2hrs worth of work. They are not above taking advantage of someones lack of knowledge about automobiles to get you to agree on an outrageous quote. I have had problems with them in the past with my own car. If I had known my girlfriend was going here, I would have stopped her! Never goto this place unless you dont mind getting ripped off!

I have been with them for more than 20 years, first in Woodland Hills. My husband and I now drive in from Toluca Lake (this is saying a lot for us). They have personally guided me through car purchases and repair investment decisions over the years. I refer all friends and acquaintances seeking integrity, personalized service and competitive prices. No one else touches our cars and/or replaces our tires. They are friends AND family!
