I want to pump *clap* you up! Getting my swoll on at the new 24 Hour Fitness Super Sport in Cerritos. Brand new from the ground up, this location looks far & away sleeker & sexier than the Long Beach Super Sport I used to frequent, which was a former Sports Connection back in the late 90s. With this location now open, I can easily ride my bike to & from, burning even more calories & already having a warm up & cool down. The machines are smooth like butta, aside from the deltoid fly I used. It had an unusual delay to it. It was great feeling the comfy padding as I pumped out dumbbell bench presses. Besides the usual free weights, there are TRX stations, rope pulls & other resistance exercises. Cardio-wise, plenty of treadmills, stairclimbers, stationary & recumbent bikes, spinning, lateral & regular elliptical trainers present to get your sweat on. The one that caught my attention & which I enjoyed using was the Woodway Curve manual treadmill. Reminding me of the bottom half of a hamster wheel. the Woodway Curve states users can burn up to 30% more calories than traditional treadmills. And, I can testify to that! After only a few minutes, I began sweating like a politician before a Senate hearing. For the ballers, there is a full size basketball court. My days of pick up bball games are over, but I occasionally practice my shot when the mood strikes. The multipurpose room has daily classes, such as Zumba & yoga. I hope to enroll in some to add variety to my workout. A kids day care area is by the entrance for those that need their kids looked after while they get their burn on. The one thing the Long Beach Super Sport has thats better than the Cerritos Super Sport is that Cerritos only has a three lane swimming pool, whereas LB has four. First thing I thought when I saw it? Damn, thats gonna be crowded come summer. Parking is in a private lot at the Plaza 183 shopping center. The Cerritos Super Sport is located north of Nordstrom Rack. On 183rd St., enter by BJs Brewhouse & proceed north. I believe there is also an entrance on north Studebaker, too. Look better naked! The 24 Hour Fitness Cerritos Super Sport is a wonderful addition to my area, which I made sure to take advantage of when I could. Being so close means savings on gas & I could literally come everyday to get some type of exercise on. Or, maybe just hang out in the sauna & hot tub. Hey, those burn calories, too. Dont they? ;p Highly recommend!

First off, the morning staff is great. Jessica and Landon are especially nice in the mornings and they deserve 5 stars! Here is why they get one star: The club has been out of towels and unable to provide the towel service that it advertises for three consecutive mornings. This was also a problem off and on about 6 months ago but I figured they had come up with a solution. Not so. For the last three mornings, we have been greeted with "No Towels" signs at the sign in desk and no explanation for it. I have been to other clubs in the morning, Yorba Linda, Irvine, Downey, and none of them have this problem even though the crowds at these locations far outnumber the number of people at the Cerritos location. Now each morning hundreds of people are using both weight training and cardio equipment and are unable to wipe it down since no towels are available. I understand we have the ability to bring our own towels, but we are paying a premium membership fee for these services and it should be available when we are at the club. I also cant understand how this can happen with the club being just over a year old. Please take care of this issue immediately so that members who use this gym can receive the services that are advertised and that we are paying for.

I would give it no stars!. My husband went in to the gym to check it out and possibly switch from LA fitness to 24 hr. Sales guy was pretty helpful he was trying to get $50 dollars taken off the initiation fee. Sales guy called over one of the managers a black guy named Daisy and he begin to interrogate my husband why he want to switch to 24hr. Fitness. My husband responds why does it matter. The manager continues to question him some more and tell him I dont think this gym is a good fit for you. My husband responds who are you to know whats a good fit or not for me, then has the audacity to tell him ill give you $10off the initiation fee. I dont know what this guys problem is and he need to be fired!!! You dont treat potential customers like That! I will call corporate to complain and have some thing done about him. I see plenty of complaints in regards to managememt.

I have been going to this location since it opened and it was great in the beginning...clean and new. I have had trouble with the LOUD music system. I have asked and asked to have it turned down, as NO ONE listens to it. All the people 99.9% have their own headphones. The people on the floor have a hard time talking to each other... why? I have tenitis and Im not suppose to be around LOUD systems as it will make it worse. So in order for me to hear my headphones I have to turn it up and even then the 24Hr system is loud. So this is a problem for sure. UPDATE: After speaking to the Member Service yesterday with the nicest girl, I got a call from Justin at the gym who was very understanding and helpful. Today I went and the nice guy at the desk turned the system down to a normal level, so I had a great time/workout! Im thankful that the people at 24HR are so nice.

The manager there is horrible he thinks hes all that he told my daughter to pay for a membership our else she has to leave she was only on her 2nd day of using her guest past, this guy is a creep needs to be re trained has no clue about what he talks about just un professional all of the staff there are clueless to what he was doing very afraid of this guy he asked who my husband was and he still will never know because thats none of his business but he is now aware of this situation!

At 1st I thought "o cool they made a 24 hour fitness around here" then I thought that this place is a bit small. So when I finally got to try it out it turns out its a "super sport" The guy tried to upgrade me to super sport member, but hell no I am not going to pay extra for this "super sport " maybe 24 hour fitness should make more normal 24 instead of so call "super sport" I also notice that some of the reviews are from the employees

Mens bathroom is okay. Nothing too fancy like Ultra. The gym gets crowded on the weekdays in the evening after work. Prepare to wait on certain machines and workout area because people are using it. Theres a Cross-fit platform I like. Only problem with this gym I have is that I havent seen one barbell clamp or collar. Thats a problem when you lift heavy weights and the plates slides off on the sides.
