Spoke to Francisco the manager about signing up. I was very upfront and told him that I was interested in a membership, but that Id been to 24hr before and their rate was much better (~12 per month for 24hr vs ~20 per month for LA fitness). I asked if he could give me a discount on the 3 year membership ($720), and he said he couldnt. I then tried again and told him that if he could do $650 for 3 years, I would sign-up right then and there with pre-pay. He said he couldnt do $650, but would do $660 instead. I accepted. As I was signing the payment, I asked and double checked with him, and he told me once again that he would take care of the extra $60 dollars himself. Later in the week, I went to a different LA Fitness and they told me that there was a $60 balance due on my account. I thought this was odd, since Francisco told me he was going to take care of it. A couple days later, I went back to this gym and the girl at the front told me the same thing. As Francisco was there, I told him I still have a balance and he said that he had already added a note to my account to take care of it. I trusted him to handle it and then went to my workout. After finishing it, I then went to the front desk while leaving to have them check the account *again*. The girl at the front said there was no note on my account and that I could talk to Francisco, as his office was across the way. I spoke to him, and he assured me that my account would be noted by 9pm that day. I told him it was important, as I might go to another LA Fitness the next day and didnt want to run into any problems. He once again assured me it would be done today. All of this happened between 5pm-6pm. Fast forward 4 hours later and I found out that my account still hasnt been noted. This is my last day for the 5-day trial where I can get a full refund, so I called in again and the girl at the front told me that she had it cancelled and that the confirmation would be sent to my account. Im waiting on that confirmation and if I dont receive it in 15 minutes, Im going to drive to the location to cancel it in person. From everything thats happened, I have a strong feeling that Francisco was just agreeing to the discount to sign me up, and then not notate the account, forcing me to pay the additional $60 that he had agreed to cover. If he had simply told me that he couldnt reduce the price any further and that the $720 was the best he could, it wouldnt have been a big deal and I wouldve probably signed up anyway. As it is, he lied to me and I am now cancelling my membership at this branch for a full refund and then signing up at a different LA Fitness. TL;DR Francisco promised a discount, didnt deliver and led me on so that I have to pay the full amount

My son and I joined the membership of LA FItness at the end of May last year. The staff providted us wrong information. He said we can prepay monthly. And if we stop husing the gym,the membership will be canceled and we have restart our membershipb if we want to use the gym again. We used the gym for about four month and I prepay every two months by cash. Then we have not been there since last October. But I was charged every month until now. I did not find that until last week. So I went to the gym to ask for refund. But the staff said they will charge every month unless I cancel the membership. We did not use the gym does not mean we do not have to pay. It is quite different from what they said at the beginning. I think what they did is really bad and I was cheated so I cancel the membership immediately. The sales person told us that we can pay by cash monthly and we said we would pay using that method considering we was there for only 4 months. We only paid the fee of enrollment and first two months worth of money using credit card. But what we didnt know was that they kept charging us through my credit card. Also, there is no notification for the payments at all even from the beginning when we started the membership. Now the manager said its included in the agreement I signed before, but the sales person misinformed us by saying the contrary. As a result, the manager stated that it was our fault. Dont fully trust them.

The service is horrible. Particularly from a sales manager named Nicole. I had a free 1 week pass that I received in the mail and I went to use it and they made me wait 30 minutes to talk to her where she immediately started pressuring me about membership prices. I told her that I wanted to work out first to see if I liked it and she agreed and told me she would email me a bar code so that I could get into LA fitness for the next week. She let me go work out not even giving me a tour or showing me where the bathrooms were. No email the next day. No email the day after that. I went in and told her that she never emailed me a barcode and she simply giggled and said she would send one right away. but nope never got it. and then she still had the nerve to call me and pester me every day about joining when she didnt even ask if I enjoyed my experience there. I think its a great gym but horrible horrible service. Gyms should be a welcoming place and you should feel like the employees are there to help you and care about how they are treating you. Instead, these employees are too worried about how many people they can get in to buy a membership so they can get commission.

The management was the worst Ive ever had in all the gym I went to. Theyre rude, insensitive, uncaring. The thread mills are always dirty. Therere always dirty tissues in the cup holders in most of the machines all the time. Ive never seen anyone cleaned the machines. Only the floor. The cleaners briefly mobbed the floor. The management team just sit there all day and do nothing. Therere also no proper weights in the weights area. If you ask for anything, the manager will tell you you complain too much. I guess they just want to get paid and do nothing. I wish I didnt prepay. I am seriously thinking about just lose the prepaid amount and switch to a different gym. LA Fitness, shame on you for having such a bad management team!

Ever since several new LA fitness sprung up within the 626 area, this place is no longer as busy. It gets busy after 9am sometimes if there is a popular class scheduled. Although evening time (after 5pm) will get busier, it is slower from 10 to 5pm. Like most LA fitness, it has a parking problem (the lack of it). Never park across the street because they may tow your car. There is a free public parking nearby if you dont mind walking a little bit. There is a security issue in the mens locker and the parking after darker. Someone removed my lock and searched my belongings, and fortunately all I had in there was some old clothes. There were, sometimes, broken glass in the parking lot.
