Rented from this uhaul, but wont use any Uhaul again. You basically have an insurance salesman there not a truck renter. They go on for 5 minutes saying there is absolutely nothing that is not covered with the insurance no matter what you do or what negligent acts you commit. It includes roadside assistance. Then you lock the keys in the truck and the Uhaul roadside assistance says that does not fall under roadside assistance and you are f-ed. Since when does a Roadside Assistance program not include lock outs?! So find your own assistance, waste time and spend more money out of pocket. You return the truck in pefect condition but will they refund your money for a service you paid for which they did not provide? Of course not. The location where we returned the truck actually told us if we were smart we would have just broken the window to get the keys out. According to them, that is completely covered under their insurance. So i guess the moral of the story is, rent Uhaul, buy insurance and damage the truck... that is their business model. Its just wrong on all sorts of levels. Besides, they would probably fault you with it somehow anyway (with the lovely fine print of the insurance coverage) and make you pay more even though I was told "no, no, that is covered, people have done it". They probably have, but should I really believe they didnt collect money from those people? Besides, I dont play that way. What a disgusting company. On top of that they added an "environmental fee"... maybe its a legitimate fee which would be fine, but it should at least be explained or brought to your attention first. I have had many other experiences with Uhaul in addition to this. I cant say any of them have been positive. I also have friends who refuse to use Uhaul. Its not a company that cares about its customers.

PLEASE BEWARE JEREMY WILL KNOWINGLY GIVE YOU A TRUCK THAT IS NOT IN WORKING CONDITION HE SAID THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON BUT NOT TO WORRY YEAH RIGHT I ALMOST GOT STRANDED ON THE WAY BACK TO UHAUL IM NO MECHANIC BUT IM GUESSING THE TRANSMISSION WAS DONE HAD TO FLOOR IT TO KEEP IT AT 45MPH ON FREEWAY WASTE OF GAS KEPT ON STALLING ON 210 FREEWAY WHEN I MENTIONED THE PROBLEM TO JOHNNY JIMENEZ 3 HE COULD HAVE CARED LESS WHEN I MENTIONED IF THERE WAS ANYTHING HE CAN DO AS FAR AS GAS HE SAID NO I HAD TO FILL IT TO WHERE IT WAS AT IF NOT I WOULD BE CHARGED 4$ A GALLON PLUS A 30$ REFUELING CHARGE THESE TWO GUYS ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND WHAT A SHAME THAT THEY KNOWINGLY WOULD ALLOW A TRUCK IN THIS CONDITION TO BE RENTED LET ALONE DRIVEN BY A CUSTOMER SO THANKFUL FOR REVIEWS TO LET EVERYONE KNOW NOT TO GO THERE YOU WILL REGRET IT

Horrible customer service by the manager , Ross , I Rented a truck from this company , The truck had a quarter tank full and it was not explained to me that i was supposed to fill it back up . I was charged $65 fee on my credit card for not putting the fuel back , I was never explained that i had to put gas in the truck. Its deceiving that i was not explained to me and i feel it was done on purpose. the truck did not have a full gas tank when it was given to me . the manager name is Ross , when i called him he said , that people love to return trucks with out gas and that it was a lesson to be learned. I called the uhaul customer service number and they are going to contact me , they might give me a refund i was told Add to list Edit

Person who put on trailer did not tighten hitch. The trailer came off loaded with lumber in heavy truck traffic. There was no shoulder, and there were trucks swerving to avoid me at high speed while I tried to jack the trailer up and put it back on the hitch. Lumber on the trailer jerked forward against the ropes. Had the ropes failed, it could have killed me. I didnt notice anybody verify the trailer was hitched correctly at U-Haul but THERE SHOULD BE A PERSON WHO CHECKS THE HITCH INDEPENDENT OF THE PERSON WHO HITCHES IT - just like at the tire places where a separate person verifies lug bolt torque. I was scared to death about getting smashed between the trailer and the truck with all the traffic just missing me.
