The very best thing about this gym it the Aqua Conditioning class with Valerie (Val) as the instructor! She is the very best instructor! She does a fantastic job and she cares about everyone in her class! The worst thing about this gym, is how dirty it is... They rarely clean the toilets or mop the shower floors. There are always hair balls and debris. The carpet in the locker room is always dirty. They are out of seat covers and soap, a lot of the time. Britney walks around smacking her gum and doing nothing! She gives plenty of dirty looks and enjoys her bubble gum.... Why cant she pick up some cleaner and a rag and do something! The blonde girl at the desk is also nice and Cassie the Zumba instructor is great!! The facility is nice however and the pool is great. It should be swept out more and cleaned better, but overall its ok. Valerie makes up for the cleanliness, she is the best! Most of the workers are super nice, they just dont really care about cleanliness!

Maybe its me, but one of the reasons why I was hesitant to do the gym scene is worried about others being judge mental of where I am. But not at all! I go week days during lunch, and everyone is at different levels. And I dont see the cliché thing of people taking selfies to show off they are at the gym. People are there to get fit, not show off. :) Im glad I signed up to join this gym and begin the journey to take better care of my body. See you there!

I have been a HS member for 6+ years & have found the Myrtle St site to be great gym, with a wonderful pool & hot tub! Also, wonderful staff & personal trainers. And, when there is a perceived issue, head are willing to genuinely listen and help find mutual solutions. Also, l love that they accept & support Silver Sneakers - something l have appreciated this past 1-1/2 years, while on a more limited income!

Pretty clean and equipment room is pretty big bonus is the machines are well spaced apart unlike the Arcata healthsport

Nice facility at Eureka/Pennsylvania Ave. with a clean locker/shower/pool area. Pilates Instructor is very good.
