I signed up for a quarter swim class and went to 6 classes so far. There has been 5 instructors. The first time was a replacement for teacher Jessica, the second time was Jessica, the third time another replacement because Jessica quit! The problem with replacement is that they dont teach because its not their class thus not their responsibility . I called to protest that instructor switches too frequently and I didnt learn anything. They told me that they had a new teacher and the new teacher is going to stay till the end of the course. The new teacher is Jimmy and he was there for the fourth and fifth class. He is a nice teacher and I learned something. However the 6th class there was another replacement and I didnt learn anything again! For 6 classes and I had 5 different teachers! This is just not tolerable and I felt like total waste of time and money !

This place had been my favorite swimming club for the kids. However, this summer I noticed (too late) that the class time has been reduced to 45 minutes with the price staying the same. I cannot help feeling a little gypped. The staff has always been courteous but of late with too many kids/parents to deal with, they seem to be harried and their accents do not help. I was also taken aback when I went to pick the complimentary swim caps and the owner gave me a dirty look and asked that I check it thru the front desk! This was at the 2nd class of the session and was not told by the front desk clerks to take my pick of them in the 1st class!! It made me feel small and bad. Too bad - these little gestures leave a bad taste....

I visited this place twice trying to get some information - but both the time I found the customer service/front desk to be horrible. The two women at the front desk were very arrogant. In fact, the first time when I asked about schedules, one of the woman literally told me to come back later and she stood up and opened the door indicating me to leave. And thats just because it was just 2 minutes past their inquiry time. And not just that but the arrogant and scornful behavior that made me feel unwanted. Seems like they have enough members and now no longer interested in getting more or keeping them. I went to Silliman Aquatic center and registered there.

Classes are good. The registration is crappy and owners are not willing to make it more convenient. You need to fill form online and next come in person to submit the payment. You need to come in the specific day, depending whether you are an existing or a new customer. Last time I came after the work, making half an hour loop just to learn that because my son did not attend summer classes, we are not qualified to be existing customers and I need to come to pay next week... Really "great" customer experience.

PROS - The kids are made to work hard. The serious types will learn. CONS - The front desk is terrible. Too much crowd in the pool and in the waiting area. The owners should focus on improving the overall experience like improving the facility, getting rid of silly policies and train the front desk. They can get rid of the gym and use the space to increase the waiting/shower area. A coat of paint on a rusted door will help. Obviously it will cost some.

Im a Masters level swimmer at Calphin, and I have been going there for more then 5 years. Great coaching, sometimes very exhausting classes, but very effective. Pool cleanliness is really good, however, the only reason that Im rating this a 4 start is the bathroom cleanliness. Bathrooms arent very clean, there is mildew etc. Other then that GREAT classes, just shower at home!

They have 6 kids in 30 minutes class of little kids. Which means practically less than 5 minutes each kid. When you go for registration, they never tell how many kids would be there in a class (unless one is experience enough to ask for it). When I raised a concern and asked for refund, they denied. This place is not a swimming school, just a business.

i recently talked to the club staff and they were very pleasent and energtic group of girls. My kids have been swimming on and off again for different programs throughout the tri city area. and this is by far the best place that i have been to. I signed up my kids for the swimming program and they love their instrutor. I recommend this school to all!

I cancelled a class for my son and assume that they will give credit. But later they said they cannot find any information for the cancellation from their system and cannot give any credit. So if you have to cancel a class for your kid to wait to register later, make sure you get proof from them about your cancellation and keep the proof.

After several attempts to give some feedback to Calphin, I was finally able to discuss with some of their managers the concerns that I have about their pedagogical methods, which I really appreciate. Coach Wang and coach Jay went beyond whats usually seen from a coach in a class to help my child progress to the next level.

Too many people, too crowded, too much chemical in the water because of it. A couple times kids throw up and they just close it a couple hours before open it up again for the next class. It would be best if they can build a little slack between each class and refocus on quality instead of quantity.

They are good at teaching class, but one thing that I am not satisfied is that their registration system is soooo outdated and if you have credit on your account, you have to REMEMBER to use it! The staff will not automatically apply it on the tuition........ time to upgrade to new system, calphin

Does this place not understand how holidays work?! If youre only going to celebrate Christmas, then why bother celebrating it at all if youre not going to celebrate other holidays?! Today is easter, isnt that a holiday? The answer is yes, but no, you people wont celebrate it at all, jfc

The students not given more attention when crowded. One coach teaching 6-7 students or they keep changing helpers they dont understand the level of students. Helpers start over again it wastes time. Only positive is 1 hr class where other school offers only 30 mins.
