Stay away from this place. During the time I have been a member I have found: 1. The Group Exercise classes treat you like a child. They make you get a poker chip from the front desk. You can only get the poker chips 15 minutes before class. You then have to take that poker chip to the Group Exercise teacher who has you place it in a clear plastic box. If you are more than ten minutes late to a class Blast will not allow you to take the Group Exercise class. 2. The Group Exercise coordinator does not respond to all emails. I have sent her multiple emails with great suggestions on behalf of other members to make classes more accessible. To date she has not responded to an email I sent over 15 days ago. The group exercise coordinator did not even reply with any acknowledgement even though she had responded to previous emails I sent her. 3. The Fresno Blackstone location has drains that back up with grey smelly water. 4. The Fresno Blackstone location men’s shower area gets full of hair and the walls and floors are always dirty. It is like they only mop once a week. 5. The Fresno Blackstone location has old rugs in the whole facility. The rooms with rugs smells bad like body odor but the management fails to replace or clean carpets. 6. Fresno Blast fitness fails to put out of order signs on equipment that does not work properly. It is horrible to get on a machine only to find out that it does not work. 7. The Fresno Blackstone location has poor ventilation. The group exercise rooms get extremely stuffy in the summer. It gets so bad from the humidity of everyone working out that the floors get wet and slippery with sweat. 8. You have to submit a written letter of membership cancellation. Then you have to wait 30 days for them to process and they still charge you membership dues during this time. In closing Blast offers the worst gym experience. For all those looking for a new gym, don’t even bother with Blast. They are dirty and treat their members awful.

I had been a longstanding member from 2002 or 2003 when they were still Ballys. After they closed one of the locations and then closed the pools at every location, I wanted to cancel and go to another gym that could provide better services. I called to cancel, was told I had to go into the gym and talk to a manager. I spoke to 3 different gym locations and their customer service line. All of them told me to go into one of the gyms and talk to the manager. I went in at 930 in the morning on a weekday and was told I had to come back after 1030 cause ONLY the manager can give you this waiver. You have to sign to agree to their terms in order to get the waiver otherwise they will continue billing you. They basically strong arm you to sign their waiver cause they wont let you cancel without signing the waiver. Supposedly they want you to see the manager because they want the manager to try to save you. Really? By the time I was able to get to the manager I was so pissed off at all the hoops there was no WAY they could save my account. I will never ever do business with these people again.

I have worked out at different gyms and this one has to be my favorite one! everyone is so friendly and non judgemental the staff is not only super helpful but also very friendly and professional, ive also been training with leo and i see a lot of progress he pushes me and motivates me to do more than i thought i could! i was definitely limiting myself and didnt realize how much stronger i am. the managers are absolutely generous always very helpful and knowledgeable about the questions i have asked just overall a very positive and motivating environment i recommend it! and they always have great deals/promotions going on so i would definitely take advantage of that!

I been coming here for a couple years, the environment and the staff are always friendly and positive greeting every single member that walks in and they know you by name they always communicate and build friendships with their members! The manager Ralph runs this place great no complaints. The instructors for the classes are very professional and go at your pace not to mention the trainers Ive trained with Leo Hes very patient and knowledgeable. The prices are affordable and include great amenities! Like free daycare, classes and tanning! I definitely recommend this place!

I wont suggest anyone this fitness center, the jacuzzi is under maintenance from last 6 months and every time tried to inform this to a instructor its the same reply like a automated system that its gone get repair today is thats the reason I payed $50 entrance fees and pay $10 every month if i wanted to sit in TUB of water I could do that at home for free... and if i wana put a halt on the direct debt for a month if i wana go for a vacation they will charge you another fees.. so think before you join the gym coz there are better options in Fresno.

This blast fitness is utter garbage. None of the machines work when needed and they even close when they feel like it. Today is Saturday and it states on the website that it is supposed to close at 8. However I go there and they closed one hour earlier. This is honestly ridiculous. Not to mention the customer service is complete trash. They do not make an effort to fix any problem; instead they just deflect it onto another person. Save your money from monthly charges and just buy gym equipment for your home or donate to them so they can fix theirs.

Going downhill. The pool, wet sauna / jacuzzi, and the 1st & Herndon Location have all been closed now. The carpet is from the 1980s and is filthy! Maintenance is poor and the staff basically lies about why things arent working (see other comment). There is no janitorial staff, the minimal cleaning is done by the regular sales staff who obviously resent doing it. Corners are cut everywhere including with not running the heating and cooling. Yeah, its cheap, but Im moving on once my prepaid membership is up.

Ive tried every gym in fresno and nothing compares to Blast. They have the best prices in town, the gym is always clean and tidy, the machines work great, the trainers provide you with the knowledge to get results fast, i can go on and on about this place. Even the perks are great!, kick ass classes all through out the day, the babysitting is great the kids are always laughing and having a good time, the employees are so motivating and always have a smile! youd be a fool to spend your money somewhere else.

This gym location has terrible customer service to its members and seem to careless of their services. I had by-pass many things @ this location because a gym is to get a sweat on but when one day I need it their assistance they just gave me "The run around"!! This new blast fitness and their management sucks!!!!!!!!!!! I have switched locations and I see the difference. Blast is not a bad gym but their staff is what makes this location not to ever come back.

Blast is the perfect place for my needs. Childcare. Check. Classes. Check. (Mihrans Bootcamp class, take it!) Awesome trainers to help guide me. Check! Down 10 lbs since I started my personal training journey here (Im 2 months Into training with Leo, hell help you lose weight just ask!). Nice front desk staff. Check (Alex is the go to if you need anything shes awesome). Great management. Check. (Ralph is the little buff man with the goatee very funny guy!)
