So, I was outta town (in the desert) and for the first time ever, I spilt water onto my laptop keyboard. Ugh. It was a 5 year old Macbook Pro, and it DID turn on after Id dried it out, but the battery wasnt re-charging. So I brought to a local repair shop in the desert that had great reviews on this site - and sadly - Im fairly certain they broke it for good. I say this because I kept getting a different story from them; they werent returning my calls; telling me that a new cheap part would fix it; at one point the check-in gal was telling me how they were wiping it down with alcohol and rags and heat and stuff; and on and on and on. Agggh! Finally, they said they would have to replace the motherboard, and it would cost $600. So I took my machine and ran (well, walked out quickly). Luckily, I had backed up two weeks before the spill, and I keep my most important docs on Dropbox, so I lost very little data. When I got back to town, I saw the reviews on Arts and decided to see what he could do. First off, he asked intelligent questions, which demonstrated to me that he understood computers and that he had real experience and knowledge. Ultimately, he came to the same conclusion that the motherboard had to be replaced, but would do it for $420. (I hadnt told him how much the previous people had asked.) That was still too much for a 5+ year old machine, so I asked if he could pull a few docs off for me. He said yes and offered me such a low price, and it felt just so nice to have an honest exchange with someone, so I asked him he wanted to keep the old computer afterwards in exchange for his services - because honestly, what am I going to do with it - I could have sold its parts on Craigslist (Id recently put in 8 GB of new memory into it), but I didn’t want to have a computer-parts-murderer come to my home - so now, he (Art, not my Craigslist murderer) has already called and has the memory stick ready for me, but it just makes me crazy that I can’t have more of these open, honest negotiations with other human beings. So, if you want to deal with someone super-smart, honest, and fair, Art is your guy. If not, Im sure there are plenty of other "repair" shops in the area.

Ive never been compelled to write a review before today, after visiting Art Computer Repair. Art is not only a professional who knows exactly what hes doing and does so with obvious honesty, integrity and fairness. He turned what was a devastating experience for me into a reminder that there actually are decent people left in the world, even self-run businessmen who could shake each person down for money without consideration for their personal circumstances.I contacted him on recommendation from a friend and I also search online computer repair in Glendale eagle rock area. he delivered more than I could have expected or hoped for.

Just want to say that I was relieved to find out about Art PC Repair (even if only by accident) after I cracked my laptops screen, otherwise I wouldve probably already bought a new laptop. I concur with the rest of the other testimonials here; very nice guy, and great if not reasonable price/rates. He had my laptops screen replaced with a new one in 8 days, which probably wouldve taken only 5 days had I only brought my laptop in earlier instead of on a Friday coz Im assuming that it had a factor in Arts attempt to acquire the said part over the weekend. But despite my week-long wait, Im satisfied overall.

Replaced motherboard of old Dell laptop quickly and at very reasonable price. First place I took machine diagnosed problem but told me it was "not worth repairing" & didnt offer an estimate. Art gave me quote over phone that was acceptable, confirmed when I brought machine in, and followed through within a few days (had to order part). Very satisfactory service. No problems with machine in the weeks following service. I would definitely refer others to him.

My laptop lost its internet connection a few weeks before the holidays. I saw the positive reviews on Google and decided to give PC Fixer a call...I was not disappointed. I had my laptop back within 48 hours so that I could continue my holiday shopping and move on. The cost was very reasonable and Art was great to work with (just a real nice guy). Great experience! My computer got a malicious virus and I went online to find someone to fix it. There were a few which popped up in Glendale , Eagle Rock area HOWEVER....Art PC Repair was the only one who published their rates online. New PC with windows 8 that I hate. I called to see if they could remove Windows 8 and put another version of windows on the computer. They explained my options and I agreed to have them send a person to modify my computer. They were able to modify windows 8 to look more like windows 7 which I am more comfortable with. perfect. Took a look at my computer and diagnosed it free of charge for my ASUS Desktop Computer for virus removal, my computer was ready next day for pickup. He just seems very trustworthy. If I have any future computer problems, Im definitely going to let " Art PC Repair in Glendale or Eagle Rock " take a look first.
