I am permanently disabled & am in constant pain, so doing any shopping is difficult enough, but when I walked up to Celebrity Cleaners on Jeffery today before closing, the door was already locked as I watched a woman tagging clothes & ignoring me. I had 1 bag of cleaning with over $100.00 worth of jeans to be cleaned, a high profit item to clean & press. After cleaning, small sized jeans are hit with a presser twice & in 5 seconds they are pressed & DONE. They are not complex, like shirts or blouses that take alot of time to do well & prevent wrinkles, ripples & other "faults." I recently moved from an apartment off of 405 & Jamboree where I always went to Paradise Cleaners, one of the BEST Ive found in Irvine, so I was looking for another dry cleaning business close to my new home that does quality work. I had learned from working in a dry cleaners after school during high school so I know what to look for. They chemicals may have changed, but tbe process is almost the same as it was in 1964. There are 3 areas in dry cleaning, the person running & maintaining the machines. If they are using dirty or cheap chemicals, they can leave more dirt on your clothes than they remove. If your clothes smell like lighter fluid, then you sent your clothes to a cheap cleaner. Cleaning fluid is expensive & must be replaced frequently. The next person is the presser. They can make you look impecable or a wrinkled mess. It is very hot, heavy work, with lots of bending & lifting in using a presser, especially during summer months. Plus the machines generate so much heat & steam it is almost impossible to air condition the room. How would you like to work in a hot room all day where it is hotter where you work, than in the direct heat? It is miserable work & never acknowledged. The 3rd person who greets the customer when they drop off or pick up their clothes is the key person with no skills. The relationship is built on this person, one is much more likely to forgive if your clothes come back wrinkled or still spotted if the person behind the counter is helpful & responsive, Not rude, abusive & disinteresed in helping the customer. I travel alot & usually have a minimum of $400.00 - $500.00 worth of cleaning a month. These are NOT inexpensive clothes & they need to be handled with care. So I research for a quality cleaner & I thought I had found a good cleaner. I was mistaken. Unfortunately, inconvenienced me & will be painful to come back tomorrow, however it will be much more painful & expensive lesson for Celebrity Cleaners when they lose customers. Or customers fail to walk through the doors due to this review. I could have gone to a cleaners far closer to my house, however, their customer service was so bad, I refused to go back. Now I will need to drive even further & pay even more for my cleaning, but I will not return to a business who does not believe in customers first.

The people that work there are fantastic!!!! I believe you get what you pay for in life. I also don’t shop at Wal-Mart. I have much higher end clothes than most of the people who have left comments. Most of my suits our over 3k each dress shirts 600.00 ea so cost is not an issue on cleaning. Quality is most important Irene who does all of the alteration work there has never made one mistake with any of my clothes alterations. On some occasions they have not charged me on some items I have had a couple of button issues that they took care of immediately. I have spoken with the owner before who is very proactive with the customers. I do about 1000.00 a year in dry cleaning and I’m very happy with them.
