I can’t tell you if Fix Automotive is a skilled repair facility, as I never made it past my appointment. On October 5, 2016 Fix Automotive scheduled me for an estimate following a traffic collision I was involved in. After I was made to wait in their waiting room for 50 minutes beyond my appointment time, I left and had my car repaired at Pacific Elite Collision. I took a late lunch from work to accommodate Fix Automotive’s preferred appointment time of 2p. I arrived on time, someone took my keys, then advised someone would be with me in a moment. After waiting 20 minutes and seeing other adjusters doing estimates for their other appointments, I asked for an update on my appointment. I was told that my adjuster was “in a meeting” that was running long and would be out momentarily. I asked how long this process should take, which I was told it would be 10 minutes by the time I “had the estimate in my hand”. I did the math and agreed that waiting until 2:30 would still allow me to get back to work within my lunch period, so I elected to wait (2-2:30 was my appointment block with them anyway). At 2:40, and still not having been contacted by someone to assess my car I walked up to the counter and asked for my keys so that I could leave to get back to work on time. The person at the counter again told me that my adjuster should be out at any time. I laughed and pointed out that this is what he has been saying for the last 40 minutes. The person handed me my keys and offered to take pictures of my damage and base the estimate off of the pictures. I thought this was odd, but I agreed. So pictures were taken, and I was promised that I would have my estimate emailed to the address I provided by the end of that day, or the next day at the latest. I waited 4 days. I called Fix Automotive to inquire to the completion status of my estimate. After they put me on hold for a time they told me the estimate was finished and asked if someone could call me back to talk to me about it. Feeling it was more likely that someone was hurriedly going to complete the estimate then call me back (i.e. they were feeding me a line of crap), I just hung up and took my car to Pacific Elite. I am beyond dissatisfied at the service level that I received this day. I am appalled that a repair facility - Fix Automotive - which my insurance company recommended as a “preferred repair facility,” believe it is ok to make a customer wait in their waiting room for OVER AN HOUR after their appointment time so that they could finish a meeting. I dont know if they are a good repair facility or not since I never got past the appointment. I can tell you that their customer service needs a lot of work. If you decide to do business with them, good luck. They may be a good repair facility with just exceptionally poor customer service, but if their follow-through was as poor when they had my car as when they made me wait an hour for the estimate - I obviously wasnt willing to find out.

My car had damage in the front bumper, fender, hood from a small accident. My insurance company recommended this place (since they do direct billing with them). I was hesitant because of the poor reviews, but then noticed that all car repair shops seem to have poor reviews, so I went ahead anyway. Short story: They did a great job. Long story: Called them up, scheduled an appointment for that afternoon. Dropped off the car. They inspected it, called the car rental place to pick me up. Then sent me an initial quote and estimated ready date via e-mail and text later that day. They sent additional texts daily and called once when the due date and the final amount were known. Picked up the car when it was done, paid my deductible and I was on my way. They apologized for the car being "dusty" (since they are located next to a cement factory) but it seemed much much cleaner than my car usually is. They even surprised me by having cleaned the inside of the car (always a bonus when you have two toddlers). Car looked great and has been working fine. Billing was easy. Customer service was great. Oh, somebody called afterwards to check my satisfaction too, so also some quality control. I dont know why some of the other reviews are so poor. Probably a result of unhappy people placing more reviews than happy people.

I go in for just an estimate and the first thing they ask for is the claim #. I went to three other reputable and AAA certified body shops and they never asked for it either. They wouldnt estimate till after I gave them the claim # which I dug out from my phone. So then he asks for the key to my car. All the other ones would just go outside to my car and inspect it, but they needed to drive my car around to the back of the building. I asked, "Should i go with you?" and he replied "no that wont be necessary." I thought that was strange. Then finally when he drives the car back, he tells me he cant give me an estimate till the next morning and it will be emailed to me. The other places would give me the estimate within 10 minutes. So finally, I checked my email the next morning and they still have not emailed it to me. I call and they said it hasnt been written up yet. I say "can you give it to me in an hour?" and he replies, "sure." I check my email in an hour and its not there. I call again and this time another person picks it up and says that she cant find my information. I went to the body shop next door Irvine Auto Collision and I got the estimate done all within 10 minutes.

My vehicle was hit in the front we shrapnel from a broken windshield in front of me on the freeway. Cracked my windshield and "dinged" the hood, grill and fenders in multiple locations. Made sure my vehicle was washed and clean when I dropped it off so all repairs needed were visable. When I picked up my vehicle it was filthy with dust and buffing compound all over it. I requested that they wash my car so I could see the repairs but I guess it was too late in the day (approximately 4:00pm) and it was Friday as well. I take my vehicle to the car wash and saw a crack, not a "ding" in my windshield. I notified AAA and I am waiting for a response. I would not recommend this place for repairs and my confidence in AAA for supporting this company is definitely tarnished:(

I got rear-ended on the freeway and my car needed a serious repair. I am more than satisfied with Fix Auto Irvine. They completed the work 3 days before the estimated date, did an excellent job at repairing it and gave me back a car that was super clean (inside and out)! I also want to mention that I really like their SMS system where they keep you updated with the progress made on your car. But most and foremost, Lorrie at the front desk provided a top notch customer service. She is an extremely friendly and welcoming person and made my life a lot easier by arranging the delivery of my rental car.
