Hello everyone,
I am writing this because the Kindercare (at 3661 Michelson Drive, Irvine, CA 92612) is a wonderful childcare facility and the staff is terrific there.
When I went through a bout of Post-Pardum Depression, we decided to look at daycare facilities for my 1 year old son. We wanted him to learn new things and have a great time doing it. My husband and I visited a bunch of facilities in the area. Those places were okay, but were each lacking something.
When we looked at the Michelson Kindercare, it was a bright, cheery, positive and very clean environment. We shared our parental concerns with Dir. Pinky Seth and she was terrific. She was a great listener and provided us with answers that told us of what to expect. We decided to give it a try.
Our experience has been priceless. Our son is now almost 4 years old and has a wonderful vocabulary. He has learned how to communicate with other kids and has learned to share. Almost everyday, there is a little art or craft project to take home, as well as a note pertaining to what the child did that day. He is now learning how to write letters and numbers. Many times, at the end of the day, I have used these things to ask our son about his day at school and then applaud him for his accomplishments.
Through the years, there have been days when I was very emotional about leaving my son off at school. Each time, Pinky Seth and the staff at the Michaelson Kindercare gave me a ton of support by listening to my concerns and genuinely caring for me and my family.
I feel blessed and I thought you should know.

User Rating: 1 out of 5 stars by Caocean 02/24/2010 My 4 year old daughter went here for a couple of months. She was always unhappy and cried every morning. I thought it was just normal jitters and she had separation anxiety but eventually I found out that the teacher(Ms. Q) was mean. My daughter once told me that the teacher tore her drawing. When I registered my daughter, they never told me that the teacher does not show up until 9:30am. One time I waited in the parking lot for her to come to talk to her about my daughter not being happy. She refused talking to me and said that she was not starting her job until 9:30am so she could not talk to me until then! I brought it up to the directors attention who apologized and said she would talk to her but I doubt she ever did. This teacher never even smiled. My god this is preschool not military school. Finally, I took out my daughter and they made me pay for the two weeks more eventhough she would not be going. After that, I put my daughter in Turtle Rock preschool where she flourished and was very happy and made lots of friends and took part in so many activities such as dance, craft etc. What bothers me is that even now(a whole year after), whenever we drive by Kindercare on Michelson, she says : mommy , this is where the mean teacher was

My 5 yr old daughter started in kindercare last year for 6 mnths and if I could go back I would take her out. They dont allow food from home, and my daughter doesnt like outside food. So in the evening at 5:30 when I used to take her back, she USED TO CRY THAT SHE IS STARVING. For a kid 9-5:30 she used to only drink milk (she hate cold milk, but she had to drink) and nothing. When I asked M Pinky, she denied clearly that we wont allow lunch box. I objected further then after a lot of argument she agreed, but the lunch box would come home as it is and my daughter told me that they dont ask/give her the lunch box. There was once a spider bite in school, she got fever and sore arm. I asked them to give medicine in evening and again M Pinky was - we will only give medicine at 12. How Can you give medicine after 4 hrs when prescription says give it every 8 hours. We immediately took her out and put her in Irvine montessori where she finally started growing. The place is still a nightmare for me and my family. Specially my daughter. She lost a lot of weight, her charm and her confidence in that school and she is still struggling to get it back. Dont send your child there. Teachers may be good but director behaves like a kid.

First week of May, 2017 was the appreciation week for the staff of Kindercare by the kids and their parents. I though that simple thank you was not enough for such a great staff headed by Miss Pinky and Miss Bertha. my sons teachers(Miss Marisol, Miss Mary) are great. He loves going there. They are helping him get potty trained as well. I have a full time job and I dont to worry about my son during the work hours, as I know that he is safe and handled with care at the center.
