In March 2011, I enrolled my 3 year old daughter in a Montessori in Orange. And, while the staff seemed nice, every time my daughter and I walked in, I felt like we were walking into a library, no one greeted us or said goodbye upon coming or going??? While I heard nothing but great things about Montessori, I think the structure and doing everything independently did not suit well for my daughter who had been home w/ the Grandmas for the 1st 3 years of her life. Long story short, I switched my daughter to Childtime (CT) in Santa Ana (after two weeks of Montessori because I also needed part-time care for my 5 month old son). My daughter went from ½ day in Montessori (3 days a week) to now needing to go 3 full days a week, which was giving me major anxiety b/c she didn’t appear to like preschool @ Montessori. My girl didn’t miss a beat…After a short introductory visit w/ CT she was asking me if she could stay all day so she could nap w/ the other children! My anxiety was instantly gone. And while sometimes I feel that I’m walking into a Muppets movie of animals running around all over the place, the children are HAPPY. So, I know they are being well cared for. I also know they are learning based on the reports I get back from my daughter. My 5 month old son started CT part time in the infant room, and I had even more anxiety over him b/c of feeding schedules, nap schedules, and just being looked after, cared for and loved @ such a young age. My anxiety went away after a week. Now in 2012 (again long story short), my children are going to CT full time. If I didn’t like the place, and was only sending them there b/c it was the best of a bad situation, I wouldn’t have enrolled them full time. Bottom line….The entire staff is friendly, loving and caring to the children (& even the parents too when I have my rough, hectic days). They say hello and goodbye all of the time which makes us feel welcome, and they accommodate me and my family to our needs. The school has a new director, Miss Trinia, who started August (?) 2011 and she has made significant improvements to the Program. So, if you’ve been to CT Santa Ana before and didn’t like it, give it another chance or if you are looking for the 1st time, put this location on your list.

LOVE this place! We chose Child Time Santa Ana for our 6 mo old son and although dropping our first child off at daycare was met with much hesitation it ended up being a lot smoother of a transition than we could have ever anticipated thanks to the absolutely wonderful staff here. Our son thrived while at Child Time and we couldnt have been happier. Everyone treated us like family and really showed love for our son, I was greeted each day with a staff that truly seemed to love what they do. The one time I had to pick him up early because of illness I came into the office to find a staff member rocking him and singing him songs until I was able to get there. It wasnt long before we got to see our sons first piece of artwork and pictures of him playing in the water tub and enjoying other activities with his friends. Child Time is also VERY understanding of how precious breast milk is and they do everything they can to try and not waste a drop. Cleanliness is also top notch here, a very big plus when searching for infant care. Ms. Dana and Ms. Lee do an amazing job getting to know what is best for each baby, they were even able to teach me things! Our son needed to have his bottom patted until he fell asleep, other babies were rocked or held as long as they needed, I never saw a crying baby in a crib. My husband and I highly recommend Child Time Santa Ana for infants (unfortunately we had to move out of state before our son was able to experience any of the older kid rooms).

I also highly recommend this daycare. My son attended here from age 1 to about 3 and a half, at which point we took him out to attend a religious school. But we were totally satisfied with the experience at Childtime for the entire duration, and our decision to leave had nothing to do with the quality of care. The teachers are excellent. Many of the teachers our son had are mothers themselves, and that motherly care was extended into the class room. And even those that werent mothers were excellent teachers who truly loved the kids. The curriculum seems educational, while at the same time age appropriate, and there is never pressure to learn; its about enjoying learning. And the director, Ms. Trinia, is as sweet as she is competent. A unique challenge for us is that our son has severe food allergies. Childtime was always excellent about accommodating his allergies. The school is a peanut free zone. And the teachers were all very aware of my sons other allergies and took great care to keep him safe. In his entire two and a half year stint, he did not have a single allergic incident. The directors son, who attends, also has some food allergies, so that may explain why the school is so good about it. But if you have a child with food allergies, Childtime is a safe place to send your child.

Finding a good child care center was a bit of a challenge. My wife and I found places that we liked but not loved until we came the Childtime center in Santa Ana. Everyone is so pleasant, happy, and very easy to talk to. I never thought wed be able to find such an outstanding place on our budget. My 10 months old daughter has been going there for about 7 months and she loves her teaches, Ms. Nicki and Ms. Lee, almost as much as I love them. They have played a huge part in her development and it is very apparent that they love Kennedy. I love the teachers in the infant room so much that I wish my daughter didnt have to graduate to the next level. But children have to grow up and Im positive that the next level will be just as awesome. I also have to give a shout out to Ms. Trina and Ms. Dana for managing such an amazing place. I love you all and thank you so much taking such great care of my daughter.

MY husband and I can not be more happy about the care that they have given our child. We have been there for a total of 9 months. They took in out baby girl at just 10 weeks old. The Caretakers are just amazing! Kristina is the Director and has so much energy, she always plans fun activities for all kids of all ages, I especially love the teachers. They will give you a thorough update on how your child is doing, they call right away if your child is not feeling well. They really do make you feel like family, which is good since she is there 5 days a week. I have piece of mind dropping her off. They give us updates on when and what she eats, sleeps, bowls movements, and sends pictures of moments that are priceless. The cost well daycare now at days is costly, I would say this is a fair cost given todays society. I forgot to mention, they provide diapers wipes, and sheets! AWESOME!
