My wife and I hired House Painting, Inc. to paint the exterior of our home in Brentwood and we couldnt be happier. They did a tremendous job, on time, within budget. We are so thrilled. They just finished the project on June 15. James Lee, the owner, did a great job visiting our home initially and providing a detailed quote. He supplied,a long reference list, proof of insurance coverage, copies of business licenses, and many photos of prior projects. He did not give us the lowest bid, but I knew that they would do a great job. And they delivered. He said the project would take 10-14 work days. They finished it in 11.5 work days, working diligently Monday through Saturday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm each day. They showed up on time (actually early) every day. The team of David Kim (crew chief), Sebastian, and Donato was superb. These guys were so professional, and so very good at what they do. If something wasnt just right, they made it perfect, without our even asking. They took pride in their work and cared so very much about pleasing us. They pained the entire exterior of our two-story home plus walls and fences. Everything looks pristine. We were most impressed that they spent the first 6-7 days on nothing but prep work and priming. They cleaned the house and made sure they would not be painting over dirt or mold. They repaired several areas of wood that had suffered some water damage through the years. I would recommend this company to anyone. We simply are ecstatic, and we plan to contact them in the near future to paint the interior of our home as well. Simply first-rate!

This was our second experience with House Painting Inc, and it was just a good as it was the first time. We didn’t really shop around given our first experience. This time around we had wooden fascia painted, and a semi-transparent natural color wood stain put on a wood pergola, wood fence, four wooden benches, two relatively large wooden decks, one of which has a pergola on top of it as well. They also threw in the painting of a wooden fire pit cover. The work was estimated by Mr. Lee, who was able to come an give us an estimate within a day or so of calling. The estimate was firm and did not change as the work was completed. The work was done by a crew of two and was accomplished over the course of about a week. It was done primarily with a spray gun, and the results were nice and professional. More impressive was the fact that after they had gone, I did some further work on the decks and painted the results with the left over wood stain. I used a brush and noticed the result was different/better than that obtained with the spray gun. I mentioned it to Mr. Lee and he sent a crew back out to apply a coat of the wood stain with rollers and brushes – no questions asked, no extra cost!! I will not hesitate to contract with House Painting Inc in the future.

House Painting Inc. just painted my home in Laurel Canyon and did a fabulous job! Everything about this experience was top quality. It was really easy dealing with both James (who bid the job and remained 100% available throughout) and Andrew (who ran my particular job). Each was highly professional and personable and followed up on every single detail. Their price was competitive and reasonable. Their written bid was detailed and covered everything James and I had talked about during our first meeting. Andrew and his crew were really meticulous, clean and thorough. All the guys were really pleasant to have around the house for a week. They obviously took pride in their work. When my wife and I were struggling to finalize our choice of trim colors Andrew was a great sounding board. When they left, they put everything they had moved back in place perfectly. I am an attorney who pays careful attention to details and I also have done a ton of construction work in my life. I had a really good sense about House Painting Inc. from the very beginning and it was a great choice. House Painting Inc. is a really well-run business. They will do a great job for you and turn a potentially stressful event into a thoroughly pleasant one!

A number of years ago, an experienced and highly recommended painter broke dozens of our light-weight clay roof tiles and said they were like walking on "potato chips”. So I put off painting again as long as I could to avoid the inevitable tile repairs (actually, I ended up paying the roofer more than what I paid that painter). So it was with great apprehension when I recently began seeking estimates. When I told the various painting companies of my concern and past experience, most of them said they hoped I saved a lot of tiles for replacement this time around, because they would likely break a number of tiles. HOUSE PAINTING INC. said they had a lot of experience with my type of roof tile and while they couldn’t guarantee that they wouldn’t break some…they would be extremely careful. End result…NOT ONE TILE WAS BROKEN and the paint work performed by Jeff, Chris and their father Oh was OUTSTANDING. I couldn’t be happier and highly recommend them. It was an added bonus to see father and sons working together as a Team.

We just had House Painting, Inc. paint the exterior of our house. It had been texture-coated ~25 years ago, so presented more than the usual challenges. These folks were well up to the task. Mr. Lee came to do the estimate and was very professional in his assessment and suggestions. Mr. Ji, the painter, is a true craftsman, who takes great pride in doing things right. The prep work was meticulous.... sanding, washing, masking. Every day he and his helper thoroughly cleaned up. The color selection process was also very well handled. Mr. Ji is very knowledgeable about the best way to deal with all the problems encountered. The follow-up was great, too. We had an area under a bench that had been forgotten, and they came back expeditiously and cheerfully made it right. I highly recommend them.... not the least expensive, but they do the work right. ( For you “Sweeney Todd” fans..... “A proper artist with a knife/brush”!)

James Lee House Painting did a very thorough job painting the exterior of my 2600 square foot house. The scope of work included preparation and painting of all wood and stucco surfaces plus all wood trim, the garage door, and wrought iron railing atop a fence. Surface preparation is the most important part of a paint job and they spent considerable time patching, repairing rotted wood, cleaning, etc to make sure the paint looks good and endures. I had numerous gaps in the wood trim due to previous repairs by a termite company and other contractors, and they either filled or replaced wood to eliminate those gaps. They left no splatters or drips anywhere and were careful to cover plants and shrubs so no paint would get on them. They arrive daily at 8:00am and cleaned up thoroughly before they left each day. Their price was on the high end of the quotes I received, but their quality of work was worth the cost.

We had our exterior of our house painted by House Painting Inc. and we could not be any happier. They showed up when they said they would, were polite, professional and cleaned up after themselves as they worked, leaving the area cleaner than it was before they started. They did an excellent job and fixed our house surface areas including replacing a porch post and other minor carpentry issues to make the finish product outstanding. The were helpful in suggesting where our colors of choice should be used and it ended up perfect, we are constantly getting stopped by our neighbors who love the look and our pleased by their new view. Loved that the owner did a follow up call to make sure we had no issues and were happy with the job noting that he would send them back out for anything needed. Would highly recommend House Painting Inc. and when we need interior painting they will be the ones we call.
