NOTE: This was previously a 1-star review due to the actions of another office, as noted below. But the office manager and owner of this location, Tom, went out of his way to call me and get this issue resolved. Sometimes things go wrong but Tom takes pride in his offices professionalism and did what was necessary to make it right and that goes a long way. I am greatly appreciative of his efforts and winsome personality to not only fix the problem but to also help do what I sought them for in the first place: to find me a job. Great job, Justin and Tom! If you cant manage the basic things, how can you be trusted with the more important things? I received a call from Linda on Friday morning. Unfortunately, I was away from my phone and as soon as I could (about an hour later), I called back. I left a message with the receptionist (?) to let Linda know I was calling her back and that I would be going into another appointment at 2pm. This was at around 10:30 or so. 2.5 hours pass, no phone call. So I took the initiative to call again, this time at 1, what I thought would be after the lunch hour. But she was at lunch. Again, no call back. I remind you that they reached out to me--I wasnt soliciting them, except for posting a resume. Now, I gave the benefit of the doubt and because it was Friday, I thought maybe Linda was just booked up and couldnt get away to call me. So I gave it to Monday. I figured, if she thought I might be good for a position she had, shed call. But nothing. The thought came to call a 3rd time, but then I was like, "If she cannot even call me back after my two attempts to return her initial call, how will she be about finding me a position? Will she blow me off then, also?" So the trust was gone and I just said forget it. Even if she did call me back, it probably wouldnt amount to anything. This is really unfortunate. When I saw the bad reviews for unprofessionalism, I just thought it was someone who didnt get a job because they lacked the skills and experience needed and they were just bitter. But they called me to discuss my resume and then blew me off after 2 attempts to return the call. Now I am not even interested in their help as someone trying to find a job because I figure the result would be the same, with or without their "help." Linda made Pridestaff look bad and soured my perception of them as a professional company. Even if you play phone tag and I was unavailable, you call and leave a message. Maybe with a time that is best to call. But just blowing someone off because, God forbid they were in the middle of something when you first called? Not good. Not good at all.

I was sent an email asking me to call in at a certain time, as a director of recruiting for many years, I have never in my life heard of this. Karen finally answered the phone after being on hold for serval minutes, eating and slurping her drink. She asked me a question, which leads to serval other questions on my current positions. After 4 minutes she interrupted me and said nope you’re not a good fit, I guess we can keep you in mind. When I inquired as to why she said, I didn’t get to ask you any questions? She asked me three and I was trying to properly answer them. She then hung up, what type of professional recruiter behaves in this manner; I can assure you, none! Please find someone who will be helpful in finding you a good position. Work with a recruiter who will give you proper feedback, corrective criticism to ensure they find you the proper position.

I believe that we need to give this manager a chance to prove himself. Let him match you to a job that is appropriate for you. Maybe you do not quite understand the way he promotes his office. You need to work with him , and the companies he is representing, to find that next great job for you. Besides, what a boring world this would be if each of us were exactly alike; and were clones of each other. The way humans interact; my friend; this is what makes life interesting. JOE
