Unprofessional. After taking the time to complete an exhaustive online registration process for Manpower, I contacted their SD First Avenue office to arrange a meeting/interview with one of their recruiters. After leaving a voice message for same (whom I will not identify here by name), along a second message left for the same recruiter on my behalf by the offices receptionist one week later, neither the recruiter in question - nor any other of Manpowers staff - returned my call. I wisely opted not to invest further time in this outfit. They appear to operate either as a not-for-profit or strictly as advertising for the Manpower chain as they are clearly not in business professionally or capable of conducting themselves appropriately for that purpose. Invest your time in a different agency. I cant imagine any employer wanting to do business with such a sorry outfit.

I walked in, being - I suppose - an old-school jobseeker. Was told to apply online, as is usual now, then call. Guess it makes their jobs easier. Applied online, then called. Woman on the phone acted annoyed when I said Id applied online, and assumed without asking that Id applied to the wrong Manpower site (huh?). She became impatient and asked what Id done for work previously, then asked again with emphasis after Id answered, as if I hadnt answered her question, and as if I was just a joke. Id have been fired with that indignant attitude at any of my previous jobs. Avoid agencies like this, where the employees act annoyed that they have to work and cant just be at lunch all day.

Yes, agreed with Gregg above. This company is horrible. They churn and burn thier applicants. I doubt they will be around for long. In fact they were RUDE as all getout. I mean come on...they are all paid on commissions. Im qualified. Why treat me like a "number". Horrible. Although, I will state I have NEVER used THIS office before. It was the one in Temecula, CA. Horrrrrrrrrible people. Plus they were dressed sloppy also!

I am not sure what took place with some of you that have experienced negative experiences. However, I just called today, and was immediately connected with the right person. I received quality customer service and Im happy to say I look forward to working with this branch. Best Regards, Martha Lazo Munoz

Manpower was great to work with. I went to the location off of 1st downtown. I had no problem speaking with someone (Derrick) to review my resume. Everyone was nice, well dressed and quick to help. So far, this is the most effective & efficient employment agency that I have dealt with. Happy job hunting!

Its a grievance waiting on them call you back.. Unprofessional. They make job seekers who follow up feel like they are bugging them even after weeks in between of doing so..I dont understand how they are still in business.
